My husband and I were so excited when we found out Handel's was coming to South Utah County. Their ice cream is so good! I got the S'mores flavor this visit and it was amazing! I liked that there weren't too many chocolate chips and I could enjoy the decadent graham flavored ice cream. I'm not sure if that was on purpose or not but it was perfect for me. This location is brand new so go give them a visit and show them how grateful you are to have more options in this part of the valley. Tip for the owner: If you could add some benches along the walls and provide more places to sit and hang out, that would be perfect! Thanks for making such delicious ice cream! Handel's is one of my favorite places to get ice cream. I was so excited to find a location close to where I work :) I have yet to try a flavor I have not liked. Aside from their ice cream, what I really love about Handel's is not feeling rushed. The employees let our group try multiple samples and offered recommendations to help us find a flavor we would love. I never felt the rush to hurry and decide what to get, which is important when it comes to which flavor of ice cream you're going to get! The flavor I got today was Oree Dough, which is oreos and cookie dough in vanilla ice cream. From someone who loves both oreos and cookie dough, I can confidently say that it is my dream scoop of ice cream. There is a cookie in every bite. I ordered a single scoop and it's basically 2 1/2 scoops. It was more than enough ice cream for me. Try Handel's next time you're in the area! read more

I love that they give you so much in a single, just wish they'd let you do more flavors for a single. The 4-sampler is nice because it gives you 4 scoops of 4 diff flavors! My wife and shared a 4 scoop sampler with our toddler. It was plenty of ice cream for the three of us and was a cool way to get to try a variety of flavors! They have a lot of flavors that look really good. We tried the Dark Chocolate Raspberry, Blue Monster, Birthday Cake, and Coffee Chocolate Chip. All were good, but I particularly liked the dark chocolate raspberry. The workers were very friendly and the cost was fair. I wish the line was better organized, I was served my ice cream but then had to wait about 5 minutes before I could pay and so it had started to melt a little bit. read more

I came specifically for key lime pie which I had in salt lake a week before and they didn't have it. It's summer! So I got lemon with Graham crackers and it was really good. We went outside to sit at the tables. It was 3:15 on a Monday. Not busy at all. 3 people in sight and we were the only ones inside. The tables were disgustingly dirty and sticky with days and days worth of ice cream on them. That wasn't fun when I picked up my arm and had sticky caramel on it. Yuck! read more

The Good: So the creamy quality and the portions of their ice cream is good. They have many good flavors. Needs improvement: on the board they say they have Reese Peanutbutter Cup Hurricanes, but when I asked for it I was told that did not carry that. If it is on the board then they need to carry it. I asked for another HUtica e only with chocolate ice cream and I was told that they were not allowed to to use anything other than vanilla ice cream. Most other ice cream shops that I have been to are happy to use other flavors than just vanilla. read more

The ice cream is yummy and we actually go often. Dont know that I will be back for a while though. We hoped in the car for a late night ice cream run and drove from Mapleton in a hurry to make closing time. Got to the door at 9:53. Lots of people inside. Their hours say they close at 10. What a waste of our time. We sat at the door in the cold for a minute hoping they would come and open it given the fact they weren't supposed to close for another 7 minutes. There had to of been at least 5 or more workers inside many looked at us and no one came to open the door. Disappointed and wasted my time. read more
