This place is one of my favorite dessert places. I wish I lived closer. I got a gelata which is Italian ice with custard on top. Italian ice is far superior to shaved ice in my opinion. The employees at Zeppes are always friendly and the services is excellent. I've never been inside the store only in the drive through. read more

I was visiting the area and tried this place and I was BLOWN AWAY!! You get so much more product than what I thought I was getting! Really is a bang for you buck!! It took me almost four years of living in Utah to finally visit a Zeppe's. After my most recent visit, I hope to go to Zeppe's many more times in the future. I appreciate that their menu is quite simple and that this location has a drive through. This makes everything very easy. There is a bit of a running joke about how high the drive through window is but I am assuming this is far out of Zeppe's control. I decided on the cotton candy one in the smallest size. I don't like eating ice cream very fast so this ended up being the best size for me. The order did take quite a while to get but it was about as fresh as ice cream can be so I didn't mind. We also got a few of their churro treats and they were super good--even better when they're nice and warm. I really liked the combination between the ice cream that was on top with the flavored treat on the bottom. read more

I love this place. It's perfect on a hot day. I love how they have a drive thru. I do wish there was a location in Orem. Their frozen custard is delicious. I usually order a gelata which is Italian ice with frozen custard on the bottom and on the top. I tried the strawberry paradise Italian ice flavor with vanilla frozen custard and it was really good. read more

Be aware that, when you order the Italian Ice, you'll really mostly be getting a bunch of the worst soft serve ice cream this side of Sicily. First thing I did was scoop the large McDonalds ice cream cone off the top as an offering to the asphalt gods. I was feeling just okay with the Italian Icelike substance - until I got three-quarters through my cup and realized that the bottom had been filled with more of that nasty soft serve. Don't look for anything near authentic here. This place is basically an expensive Dairy Queen. I wanted it to be good, too. read more

Good Italian ice. Terrible service. We waited in the drive thru for 40 minutes after we ordered. We were got our custard and Italian ice it was melting so I asked for them to make a fresh one and the girl rolled her eyes, closed the window and walked away. Poor training. Do not go if there is any sort of line. read more

We have been huge fans of the vanilla custard...so thick and rich! However, within the past month or so, something has changed. The custard is now like a cheap ice milk, no more of the very rich flavor or texture. I decided to go grab a custard tonight, thinking that maybe I just got a bad batch. Nope...it was same poor quality as last time. I dumped it down the drain. From now on if I want a really good custard, I'll go to Culver's. read more

I love the custard and Italian ice however, the lack of napkin dispensers make for a pretty messy visit especially with a toddler. Then when you ask for napkins they give you three. I think having napkin dispensers available for the people sitting outside would really help. read more

Been here twice in the last week. Everything is good that I've had but yesterday night I got some frozen custard in a cone, watched them make it and put it on the counter next to the window and then... do other stuff. It was at least 5 minutes, maybe 10. By the time I got it it was melting. It is summer and very hot out and I had walked there so as science would demand it only melted more and more. Zeppe's stole from me my custards cold, delicious youth and I'm not sure I'll forgive them for it. read more

Very delicious! I had never heard of this place and stopped at a food truck in the parking lot and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! The Italian ice was delicious. I got strawberry paradise (I believe it's like a strawberry colada). The kids size was perfect. I also got a pretzel and I wish I got more. One of the best pretzels I've ever had! My husband got the churro donut and liked it. I read some complaints about the drive thru but I didn't have any issues. The service was pretty fast and really nice. Definitely will be back! And too bad there's not a closer one to me! read more

Absolutely delicious!! So excited to be at their opening in springville. The building is gorgeous and family friendly. You need to stop by and try a GELATA. My wife and I both thought the gelato was very good when we went through the drive thru around 5 pm and we really enjoyed the young man who served us. He really made our day and he was very polite. Besides from food and ambiance, it's really just nice to have great service even when we go through the drive thru. read more

My husband and I are absolutely obsessed with this place! We pick up or have it delivered probably 4-5 Times a month, I cant have dairy and my husband loves custard so its the perfect place for both of us, plus their pretzels with the nacho cheese is soo good too! The italian ice is so soft and custard is super creamy and we live for the first day of the month to see on instagram what the flavor of the month is. Then the people who work there are delightful as well, always have a smile on their face and super helpful if we ever have questions. I 1000% suggest this place cause it seems theres something there for everyone even if you're gluten free or dairy free or both! read more

Oh, my goodness. We don't eat dairy and stopped to try this place on a whim after a funeral. Such a good choice. I tried the Purple Haze (lime Rickey and cotton candy), and my husband tried the sunset (I think) in a Gelati with strawberry dole whip, and both were fantastic. Our new favorite place for a treat!! All ices and dole whip (two flavors, strawberry and pineapple) are vegan, in case there are other dairy-free, vegan, or plant-based people who want to know! read more

Stopped by yesterday because I had a hankering for gelato. I don't know what you call they serve as gelato but it isn't gelato. More like a frozen drink what soft serve ice cream in the middle. It was good, but to label it as gelato is not accurate, even in Utah. Needless to say I was greatly disappointed. I would caution anybody that's looking for gelato that this isn't the place. read more

AMAZING!! This has become one of our favorites..... I don't know what others are saying about the drive-through line, I've only ever had 0 to 3 cars ahead of me. Really delicious items. But the drive thru takes FOREVER. I understand it takes time to go through the drive thru but it is a really long wait. While there is a line of 10 cars I saw 4 employees in the regular window talking. If you have a line, get them in and out. read more

We purchased a quart of the month's special, Birthday Cake, for our kids. We all had a long day, and this was supposed to be their treat. the BD custard was...to put it mildly...flat out gross. Even our two-year-old son (who eats EVERYTHING) wouldn't touch it. So we spent $10 on this thing. When it was handed to us at the drive thru, the teenager said, "I don't know who made this, but it's leaking all over the place." We asked him to wipe off the leaking ice cream (why would you even need to ask for them to do that!?), and he replied, "Yeah, the container is overflowing, so it's just going to leak." We said, "Understood, but we can't have it like that in our car. Can we just scrape off the excess into another cup, then wipe the quart container so it's not dripping everywhere?" The kid rolled his eyes but gave us an extra cup. He didn't wipe the container, just gave it to us and then proceeded to wipe his own hands clean--it was that messy. We got home, tried the custard, and you know the rest. So we just got off the phone with the Springville, UT Zeppe's, explained the situation, and the girl on the phone said, "Yeah, I don't like it either. Not many people do. But my manager said we 'can't really do exchanges' since you opened it." So yes, Zeppe's makes horrid-tasting product, sells it while knowing it tastes like dog vomit, and then laughs when you dare ask yo exchange it for something not so Parmesan-tasting. They basically stole $10 from us, and it ruined our view of this company. We'll never go back. read more

This place is always packed, so we had driven by, but never stopped. Had heard it was great, so on a Wednesday night at 8:30 we weren't in a hurry, and went. It was packed-- but service was great and quick! (We waited maybe 8 min, but there were a lot of people before us!) Anyway, my only concern is that now I am going to be craving this until I go again! Don't go here if you don't have at least 30 minutes to wait in the drive thru, or longer on a weekend. I came twice during the week, and had a similar experience both times. We waited about 45 minutes on a Monday night, and I came again on a Thursday afternoon with only 4 cars in line and waited about 25 minutes. The ice is great and the custard is great, but it's really not worth waiting in line for that long for. I can't imagine what a weekend wait time would be. read more

Fresh Peach Gelato boasts local peaches from Kuwahara. Tangy, but just-sweet enough. Not quite as creamy as others, but that is par for the course with most fruit based ice creams. Oreo has mostly fine Oreo pieces, but a lot. If you had asked me, I'd have guessed my preference would be larger chunks, but I'd be wrong. This is delightful! New York Wildberry Cheesecake gelato has a great, natural cheesecake flavor. The swirls of berry are rather sweet, but tempered by the tangy base. Chocolate Dipped Strawberry was a surprising household favorite with it's uber creamy pretty-pink base and stracciatella style dark chocolate. They offer a variety of flavors, with some seasonal. All gelatos were a bit harder than ice creams, which is no surprise given they have less cream/fat in them. I am sure if left at room temperature for five or ten minutes (as you are supposed to do for all frozen treats), they would be perfect consistency, but I never have the restraint to wait that long. We bought everything in pint ($5.50) or quart size ($7.50), but you know those long rectangular containers seen at gelateria's? YOU CAN BUY A WHOLE ONE FROM BON BON ($30)! Can you imagine how perfect that would be for a party? There is a $30 minimum, which is extraordinarily easy to meet, and a $5 delivery charge. Go support this wonderful local business crafting such delicious treats!

We went Friday night for some nice cream and the girl behind the counter couldn't have looked more…read morebothered that we came in and disturbed her from her phone. She didn't say basically anything to us the whole time. We were the only people in there. We got a cookie dough cone, birthday cake cone and the toffee almond crunch cone. The ice cream itself was light and fluffy and airy. I think that's why all the cookie dough in mine was basically in the bottom of the cone. My friends have been talking about coming here forever, it's been on their list, and it was just okay.

The girl at the register was short in her answers and not as customer service friendly. The space is for take out only. There are no tables but there is a cool neon ice cream inside.
