Soooooo confusing... I asked the server what kind of cuisine they serve, as the menu seems all over the place. The server couldn't tell me. What made it even more confusing, was the $$$$$ menu with fine dining atmosphere, then 90s rap/rock music playing... FRESH PRINCE OF BELAIR style... What the????? Me and my family were visiting from out of town, stopped in when we were not able to make a reservation. Staff were very accommodating even though the place was packed, they seated us at a bar top facing into the kitchen. The food was very good, fresh and flavorful. For what you pay, pretty unimpressive. Service less than attentive. 40 bucks for a mushroom pasta-- with really no mushroom flavor or mushroom. Apparently they were in there, but basically was a nice creamy noodle dish. My dad felt like his margarita was not strong enough and the waiter acted like he was doing us a solid by getting my dad a topper, but charged us 20 bucks for the extra shot. Soooo a 42 margarita. After staying a week in Deer Valley, Handle was by far my best meal - my big family of 20+ all unanimously agreed too. Our first trip to Park City and, as foodies, we picked four high-end restaurants to dine at during our trip. Sad to say Handle was our least favorite of the group. It wasn't bad but it wasn't as great as we were hoping. Our server was fairly disinterested. Again, wasn't bad just made no real effort to be engaging or to do the little things that a good server does. At the end of the meal he brought our check without even clearing our plates or asking us if we wanted any dessert. It was sad because there was another server taking care of the table next to us who was personable and engaging and our server looked very bad in comparison. My wife had the Mushroom Bolognese and the noodles were variable in temperature but several pockets were cold. It was almost as if the noodles had been sitting a while and they poured the sauce over expecting it to warm everything up which it did not. I had the fried chicken which was fairly tasty but the second I cut into it the batter crust shattered and fell off the chicken. With every bite I had to scoop up a bite of chicken and then a bite of crust. But the taste was very good. On the positive side our cocktails were excellent. Kudos to the bartender. The restaurant was quite pretty with an excellent ambience. Overall disappointing given our expectations. Don't know when we'll be back in Park City but Handle would not be on our list. read more

We had the Hamachi Crudo to start.. it was just ok. Being from CA we are very lucky to have tried a lot of wonderful hamachi dishes.. this was a miss. The Mushroom Bolognese was underwhelming. The Pork Shank also fell short. While nothing here was terrible, nothing was very great either. Presentation was great but every dish seemed to just fall short. Handle is a great place for dinner if you have had a huge lunch and breakfast and plan on breaking the bank. The serving sizes are very minimal and every single menu item is very expensive. This would be less of a problem if the menu items carried more flavor or were more dynamic. My table and I ordered an assortment of things including the cauliflower, which I was really excited about and would actually not recommend. It was far too dense (maybe not ripe enough?) and could have had far more sauce and flavor. The Brussel sprouts and fried chicken were definitely the best items we ordered. The Brussel sprouts had bacon, tangerine, and other flavors that made for a great dish and was incredibly inventive. The bucatini or mushroom bolognese was definitely good but not worth $32 when you could get the exact same thing anywhere else with a better serving size for $18. The drinks were good but not very strong and the himachi crudo was great but genuinely 5 and a half bites worth of food and could have had more flavoring (I would recommend more sesame oil and rice wine to the chef ;) ). Overall, the atmosphere was great, the food was good, and the bill was massive. If you are looking for great food that is reasonably priced I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

AMAZING. My husband and I came to eat here for our wedding anniversary. We're not from the area so we relied on Yelp to help us find a good place to make a reservation. The service was immaculate. The seating hostess greeted us with a card that had been signed by all the staff as a congratulations before taking us to our table! Those kinds of details and friendly service are such a treat. The food was incredible. We were NOT disappointed! The menu was intriguing and full of options. My husband is a bourbon fan and was eager to look at their list of available spirits. Visiting friends over the weekend in SLC and we drove to Park City for dinner. Handle has great reviews and I can see why. I loved the ambiance and the hostess was great! Our server needed her own show the way she described the food with the details and emphasis on how each dish was made. The drinks were great so we really appreciated that. It took a long time for our food to come out and it was not all that great. I ordered the Bolognese which had the potential to be SUPERB, but it was missing any kind of seasoning. It was like they just mixed the ingredients and felt that would handle the flavor. I did add a little salt and pepper so that made it a bit better but I hope the seasonings become apart of this dish moving forward. The grilled broccoli was AMAZING! Went here with some friends. Made a reservation and thank goodness we did, because it was packed. We started with several shared dishes for the table. The cauliflower was delicious! It was sweet and spicy and really good! That is a must. We ordered "The Toast", which was sourdough bread topped with whipped goat cheese and pork belly. I was a big fan of this and if we weren't sharing amongst the table, could have devoured the whole plate. The octopus was good, just a smaller portion of it. The Brussels sprouts were a favorite of the table as well. I am not a huge fan of blue cheese, but it was still good and not overpowering. As a main, we all split the pork shank that was fall off the bone tender and had a little heat, but not too bad. We made reservations for 8:45 pm and arrived at 8:15. The downside is that they wouldn't let us sit at the bar to wait so we went around the corner to Fletcher's to wait and have a cocktail. When we got back at our reservation time we were seated promptly and given waters to start. We were starving so wanted to order immediately but weirdly our server insisted on just taking drink orders. We both had the tequila cocktail (amazing) then got the Oysters, bread with truffle butter, Octopus, hamachi crudo, and buccatini. If our server didn't disappear for the last 40 minutes we would've ordered more drinks. Aside from the slightly slow, less than stellar service everything was 5-stars here! My wife and I enjoyed a great date night last night. We ordered the Kale Salad, Hamachi Crudo and egg dish. The egg dish was a hit. Loved the Hamachi but thought the amount of fish included was a little sparse. Kale salad had a champagne vinaigrette which made a great crisp taste. For entrees my wife got the bavette and I got the pork shank. The bavette was super tender and juicy but my wife didn't love the sides with it. The pork shank was the clear winner. Handle is a great spot for a splurge meal! I couldn't give it quite a 5 star review but 4 seems too low so how about 4.5. Their pricing is very high for what it is in my opinion. My husband got the market fish and the portion was very small considering the price. He absolutely loved the meal though. I had the burger which was so good and fresh. Still high priced for what it was. The tomato bacon jam was incredible. The fries were very clearly hand cut and amazing. We did an appetizer of the cauliflower and it was SOOO good. I need to recreate it at home! Highlight of our meal for sure. Lastly, we got the whiskey caramel pudding to take home and it was sooo dang good. Important note on parking: There is a parking garage right under the building. We saw 2 signs that said Reserved Handle so we safely assumed that it was fine for customers to park in considering it said nothing about needing a permit or employees only, etc. NOPE. We got a $55 ticket I am currently trying to dispute. We learned from the restaurant that the parking company handles that lot and you do have to have a parking pass to park there. Very confusing. This is hands down the best meal we've had so far in Park City and we've been here twice. Each dish was made exquisitely and the combination of ingredients were a perfect match. At first I was a little worried as my family is really picky but everyone loved this dish. We ate every last piece. I even joked that this was the perfect YouTuber's ASMR dish. For entrees, we ordered the seafood special, the fish special and the mushroom Bolognese. The seafood was a hit with my family who's all seafood lovers. The fragrance alone was making us all salivate even before we started eating it. My kids loved the salmon special and the mushroom bolognese (top rated dish by yelped) did not taste vegetarian at all. Everything truly was like fireworks in our mouth as we were eating each bite. The only one complaint I have is that our reservation was somehow messed up. I initially reserved for Wednesday but had to change it for Friday. When we showed up today, they didn't have our reservation at all. I was definitely a little upset as the hostess asked me if I took down the name of the person who changed my reservation. Honestly, I usually do but this time I didn't. Someone else came out to rectify the situation as they were fully booked.
