We had the BEST meals & wonderful service from Dulia during our stay. Both dinners were utterly incredible but the tomahawk Wagyu for two was beyond delicious. The carrots & broccolini were so fresh and beautifully presented. Everything was just perfect & exceeded our expectations We were super full but did not want to miss out on the dessert because we knew it would be so worth the splurge. Steak presentation amazing, but tasted average considering they specified it as wagyu. It also took 45 minutes for our food to come when we came in when it first opened for dinner. I loved the vibes, our servers, and our table which was next to a large window where you can see the snow. Everything was perfect, but I'd give the food a 6.5/10. Our appetizers and other dish tasted bland as well. Needed more seasoning. Our Brussels sprouts seemed overcooked because it tasted soggy. Steak was stiff for being wagyu. I had salmon yesterday with two sides and woke up in pain. The salmon tasted fine but was not very good overall, so I only had a few bites. It also appeared undercooked. My husband ordered a burger and became sick, vomiting throughout the night. My concern is the safety of the food. I also want to mention that on a previous day I ordered the potato leek soup. It tasted bad, so I only had a few spoons, and I later became sick. There was also a long wait time (about 20 minutes) for the soup. For being inside a Waldorf, the service at this place is terrible. Day 1 - I'm looking for the coffee that Waldorf usually has. I did not recall the FDA mentioning it on my check-in, so I come to the restaurant. I ask to get coffee and they say no problem, how many. I thought it was odd it was t self-serve, but say two. They have me stand to the side and then come with two coffees and hand me a bill for $16-ish dollars. I look a bit puzzled I'm sure, but go ahead and pay and even tip. The cups were barely half full and it was terrible coffee. I'll chalk this up to me not asking the front desk or being clear in my request. Fine. I found the complimentary coffee for the next day Day 2 - I'm waiting for some friends so I go to the restaurant (breakfast time) and ask if I can just order a to go drink at the bar. They say sure just head to the bar. Every person working in the place walked by and stared at me, but not one asked if I needed anything or wanted a bar menu. I left after 9 minutes with no contact from any other employee besides the hostess. Maybe I hit them on a bad couple of days, but compared to how amazing the rest of the hotel staff were (and generally are at Waldorfs), I was extremely disappointed. read more

This my first time at Powder. I'm not staying at the Waldorf however we are right across the street. I want to start off by saying the restaurant is very cozy and the view is amazing. You get to look at the snow and the pool from your table. I love the healthy options they have available. They have very very health conscious options from smoothies with protein to the green smoothie with kale. I actually tried the green smoothie which was so tasty. It has ginger as well. For my meal I chose the Astoria and love the fact that they had a chicken sausage option because I don't eat pork. The food was good, nice presentation and flavorful. A little disappointed in the service. I needed a few condiments and a drink refill the waiter just isn't very attentive. I had to ask for everything. Definitely a option to try. Unfortunately, I contacted them too late as there weren't any open seats. FFWD a couple weeks to a day or two before Thanksgiving -- I get a call from the restaurant; turns out some seats opened up in the main dining room--score! Main dining room (center section): Exquisite, great ambiance/views Overflow area: not nearly as nice -- rather bland compared to the main dining room. Wonderful restaurant located in Waldorf, Astoria Park City Utah. We had a very nice and helpful Filipina server (forgot her name) who was so friendly and entertaining, she made our experience very pleasant and enjoyable. The snow had just dropped about 30 inches and the views of Park city were a beautiful winter wonderland. We are good scallops, pork belly, cowboy ribeye, trout, lobster Mac and cheese, and bone in pork chops. We enjoyed everything, however my mom mentioned that the trout was a little on the dry side and flavorless. Everything else was really good and we were stuffed. Powder deserves a 5/5! We went for a family dinner on vacation and were impressed by the ambiance, the service, and of course, the delicious food. The restaurant is located in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel towards the back of the lobby. There are modern crystal chandeliers. The large windows provide a view of the mountains in the background. The drinks were stylish in presentation. My future sister-in-law ordered a Mezcal margarita that was rimmed with black salt. Her drink was a hit. I ordered the Pink Lady. At first I did not like it and thought it tasted a little like medicine, but the flavor grew on me. My fiancé ordered the Moose Drool beer, which he enjoyed. He had to try it because of the name! For an appetizer, I had the beet and goat cheese salad, which was delectable and maybe my favorite part of the meal. There was a light sprinkle of sea salt on the lettuce greens that gave the salad such a unique flavor and crunch. We also had the foie gras, which was beautifully presented. One negative was that they did not include bread, and you had to order it separately. We did order a bread basket and it was remarkably good, but we should have ordered two for our table of 6 people because we had to cut the bread into halves. The main courses were beautifully plated and well-balanced. I ordered the Diver's Scallops which came over a bed of mushroom risotto. My fiancé had the Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes and shishito peppers. We ordered brussel sprout and asparagus as sides for the table. Everyone loved their entrees. Dessert was amazing. I ordered the chocolate brownie parfait with the oreo on top. It was unreal; so good! The rum toffee cake was very cool because the server pours blue flames over it. The toffee cake very much tasted like rum (I thought the rum overpowered the cake), but people loved it. We also gave high praise to the poached pear with mascarpone. I think Yelpers are harsh on Powder, and I've always really enjoyed dining here. Most Park City restaurants are EXPENSIVE, have very mediocre food quality, and it's really hard to get a reservation during the peak winter months. I love Powder because reservations aren't that hard, but it's still on the pricey side. For apres, this place is also on point, as they have a nice bar snack menu, and usually you can find a place to sit versus some other places right on the slopes. read more

After a long day on the slopes all we wanted was a good juicy burger. First impression, front girls were not nice or happy, but hey maybe they are new... We Ordered 2 burgers , 1 medium & 1 Medium Rare to go that totaled around $71.00.. (they were not happy when we didn't tip on the to go order) Both burgers were cooked well done. When I called the restaurant to let them know the girls answering the phone said there was nothing they could do. I think for this amount the burger should be cooked the way it was ordered. Normally I would avoid a place like Powder as much as possible; hotel restaurants are known for high prices and mediocre food and often lack the local flavor and flair that an independent establishment can give you. However, my hotel package included a credit for breakfast daily and it would be silly to let that go to waste! We dined here four times and I made sure to try something new each day. We had the pleasure of being served by Elise on Days 1 and 2 and Candelaria (Candy) on Days 3 and 4. Both were friendly and efficient, though the edge goes to Candy as she asked about our plans for the day, made suggestions, and offered me Truvia instead of plain sugar. I had thought that maybe stevia wasn't a thing yet in Utah, and was a bit bummed that it hadn't been offered earlier. Also, stop calling milk "cream." I know it's not cream, you know it's not cream, let's just be accurate. Day 1: Eggs Benedict. Peeking at the menu ahead of time, I resolved to make this the first time trying a Bene and I wasn't disappointed! The dish was excellent, and I am now a fan. I only hope other places can match the great flavors presented here. Day 2: Blueberry Lemon pancakes. Another winner! A generous amount of blueberries and lemon curd really kick this up a notch. Day 3: French toast. An excellent Texas Toast married with a fruit compote. I would highly recommend the compote on the side, so you can drizzle it on the toast or dip it as needed. Day 4: The Outlaw. I nixed the arugula (spicy lettuce, who thought THAT was a good idea?), avocado, and swapped the multi-grain for sourdough because flavor. It was fantastic! While there was so much to love here, the high prices (breakfast for three was often $100) and a la carte style were a bit of a deterrent. I would have liked to see a small side of protein offered with the breakfasts, and a refill on the $10 orange juice would be good, too. But hey, if you're rich, come here daily! read more

Therefore we at at Powder a total of 5 times (2 breakfasts, 2 dinners - one room service, 1 lunch). Each of the menus are different. While the restaurant was pricey, we didn't mind due to the credit. However, if we were using our own money, I would look for another spot, although there are not many restaurants in the area. ~ best food options ~ BREAKFAST: The croissant breakfast sandwich definitely was the most bang for your buck. Tasty and the only full meal under $20. We also tried the Acai bowl, smoothie, and Avocado toast although none of those are filling and are quite expensive. Croissant comes with potatoes too. LUNCH: Lots of fries, pork belly fries were okay although there were not many chunks of pork belly on it. Truffle fries were perfect as always. I tried the lettuce wraps with pork belly and same thing, not much meat, although it was refreshing and tasty still. The turkey club sandwich that my friends got was huge. DINNER: We were pleased with the large Charcuterie Board although the price matched the size. We really liked our fish entrees so can't go wrong there. It was my birthday and we got a very nice cake. We needed carbs and ordered a bread bowl off menu (not on dinner menu but it's on the lunch menu) and it hit the spot. Thanks for having us all week WA and Powder. We went to Powder for the first time last weekend and were pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure why the ratings are so low because we honestly had a great experience! When we were first sat down, our waiter didn't show up for 5-10 minutes, which was a little odd, but we weren't in a rush. After about 10 minutes, a new server came up and said our original server was too busy. Again, a little odd, but not the end of the world. This was the only downside of our entire experience. Once we got a server, he was so nice and funny. He did a fantastic job! The drinks were the best cocktails we've had in park city. 10/10. The violet drink was especially spectacular. I have celiac, so I sadly could not try the bread, but my fiancé said it was amazing. For my meal, I had the oysters and the mushroom cappuccino, which, yes, may be kind of a weird combo for a meal, but I loved both. The oysters were a tad salty, but I love the berries on top - super unique and different. The mushroom cappuccino was so delicious and a great portion. We were asking our waiter about gluten free desserts (which there were so many great options to choose from), but ended up going with the tiramisu. He ended up bringing us two additional desserts on the house (I have never had this happen before - but we were out at dinner celebrating my birthday, so that's possibly why. Definitely not complaining over here). Even though I may or may not have felt ill after eating 3 desserts in one sitting, they were all three phenomenal. And I have no regrets and would do it again because they were all fabulous. Being a dessert-lover & being gluten free isn't always a fun combo. Our dessert options are usually pretty sad. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert in the world, but I have never once seen a GF one before in the wild. Powder's was absolutely outstanding and a great portion. The creme brûlée trio was also insane, and I loved the creative varieties they offered. We also had the flourless cake and it was another 10/10 desserts. Completely blown away by all the desserts. The most underwhelming food i've ever had at a high end restaurant/hotel. The caviar chicken fingers were straight out of a pre-made frozen bag. They were a gross pink color in the middle so I thought they were under done. Turns out they arrive to the restaurant from the supplier fully cooked and then they just heat them up. The breading was thick and chewy. The sauce was also thick and unpleasant. Only good thing on the plate was the caviar. They did recook and remove them from our bill. We have been frequent powder customers, but the last two visits have been frankly bad. Went for lunch and ordered a Reuben. Easy, right? Nope. The sandwich I received was gristle and fat on toast. For 22 dollars. Assuming that was a one off, I went for dinner 2 days later. Service was atrocious. It took 30 minutes to get drinks, and the orders were completely wrong when they arrived. Powder wants to be a 5 star restaurant, but the food and service is literally bottom barrel at top drawer prices. read more

Our family recently gathered for a reunion in Park City and had dinner at Powder. It was lovely! Nestled inside of the Waldorf Astoria, you will enjoy a beautiful ambiance and great view. We made a reservation and were able to be seated immediately. We had several hors-d'oerves among us and would highly recommend the West Coast oysters, the creamy roasted cauliflower veloute and the Wagyu beef Bavette Tataki. Wow were these so sublime! We also enjoyed foie gras, organic chicken, scallops and filet of salmon. Beautiful presentation, fabulous taste. We followed the main course with shared desserts. The cheesecake was nice but was not anything special. The three creme brûlée dessert was a hit! Lovely place, great meal, attentive waitstaff. We would absolutely go back. read more
