I highly recommend this place. I see Stephanie to get my manicure done. No gel, just hygienic one. She is knowledgeable and recommended not to cut the cuticle around the nails, but instead to gently push it and let it self-restore. And it worked! My nails now require minimum time from me to look healthy and neat. read more

My tech did a great job removing another salon's work that was really stuck on my nails. She told me that it's better to do dip, which I've never done before. She took extra care on taking care of my nails. However the application for dip and I'm not sure if it's unavoidable, is very mid. I walked out with thick nails and gel under my finger nails and sides (on the skin and cuticles). The skin under nails were essentially cemented to my nails with gel. I tried to pick at it after I left and tried to separate the skin under my nails from the nails, but decided if I paid for a service, I'd go back and ask for it to be fixed. They were really nice and fixed it and sanded under the nail and the sides so my skin wouldn't stick to my nails anymore. This salon experience was the first time I had residue from the products on my palms and fingers (peeled like super glue), so those were the only notable things and they fixed it. read more

Everyone was SO kind and super helpful. Within the hour there, there were about 7 regulars that came in (which is always a great sign to me) and they all knew each other by name. First time going in and I was not disappointed! I have tried three other salons before this one and never left satisfied. Customer service was absolutely top notch. I went in on a whim and had my 11wk old baby with me. Not only did they get me in right away, they were extremely accommodating when it came to me needing to hold my baby. They worked around what I needed and checked in frequently to make sure not only I was good but my daughter as well. I noticed as people walked in who were regulars, they knew everyone's name and greeted them so friendly. Stephanie started my dip manicure and T finished for her (they both did amazing!). I had a picture of what I wanted done and they made it happen! Kim did my pedicure and also did amazing and took her time. I even booked another appointment to come back. Highly recommend! read more

I went here on a Friday afternoon, when my usual place had to close unexpectedly due to a family emergency. I walked in and was quickly accepted for an eyebrow wax, then waited about 10-15 minutes for a nail technician to do a gel fill. The technician, Hanah, did a good job overall, she took time & care to shape my nails in the coffin shape I had requested. Her fill technique was much different than my usual place, but they looked good when I left. Although, I felt like she was a little too rough will cuticles, I left with at least 4 fingers bleeding. The 1 star is due 2 things: - mostly that it has been just about 72 hours and the gel has already chipped. I've had gel for about 6 years now, and I have literally NEVER had it chip, even when I was working in a brewery/restaurant (I now work in an office). There is also A LOT of pitting and scuffing in the gel already. - second: the inability to tip on a card/Apple Pay. There was no sign, or if there was it wasn't obvious enough for someone who actually pays attention to detail to notice. When I asked the owner (who rang me up), she said, "there's an ATM behind you"...that costs $1.50 fee, and would require a debit card, which I did not have on me. I had intended on returning this week to tip, but now that I've wasted $52 dollars on a gel fill that lasted less than 72 hours, I will most definitely not be back ever again. read more

This is the place. I absolutely LOVE "Hands Down" it is nice to get pedicures they don't speak in a foreign language to each other (very often) while you are being pampered and they don't (usually) rush you either. Here you get your monies worth in way of a true spa pedicure. It's located in downtown Claremont and my favorite person who takes care of me is Autumn she is very nice... in fact everyone there is very courteous and I am not talking that "fake" courteous either... you know where they "pretend" to be nice to you then talk about you with their fellow co-workers right in front of you (all the while giggling) Facility is small but clean they actually CLEAN out the tubs in between guests with disinfectant and they do not HASSLE you for upgrades. You have to ask for callous remover etc. Also the massage on the legs last a while not rushed. YES!! I have issues about Pedicure/nail Salons! and I am here to tell you I am tired of paying nearly $40.00 bucks just to get a righteous job done. My first pedicure since 2012 done by the very nice lady which I'm satisfied with the work and results which is the spa treatments with a wax to remove the bad stuff. Music they play when I went was classic R&B slow jams, btw. They take walk-in's, do work for men and women and offer other work including lash extensions, brow threading and wedding package. Hope there is one like this nearer to me to go more often to lots of time on my feet at work and other places. Until then I'll be back! read more

The shop itself is really cute the ladies are really nice and really patient with you I love that they have SNS however the $50 price tag for that is a little ridiculous in my opinion and that's why I can't give it a full 5 stars. Don't get me wrong I love my nails and they look amazing and a great and I can't wait to tell other people about SNS but the price tag has me wondering if I do want to come back or not other than that pretty great. I also got a pedicure that was $35 and I was not very impressed with it. My nails look great but she did not do anything to really clean my nails she trimmed them and she kind of cleaned up the cuticle part but I didn't feel like I walked out of there with a deep clean pedicure and for $35 I will definitely not be going back for a pedicure because my original pedicure lady charges me $17 and does an amazing job. But I can't say that I gave this lady a try.
