I've been coming here for over five years and I usually get Gel-X. The quality of the work is amazing, and the environment is beautiful, which is why I'm still a loyal client. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of pricing and organization. The salon is quite pricey, and I really think there needs to be a clearer system for breaking down costs before the service starts. There are multiple books of nail colors, some of which cost extra depending on the polish, but none of the books are labeled with pricing. You're also not told upfront if a specific polish costs more. Over time, I've had to learn on my own which book contains the basic gel polish with no additional fee. Designs are also extra, which is understandable, but communication has been an issue. One time around Christmas, I decided to get a very simple design on two fingers. I was told it would be $15 extra, and I confirmed that was for both fingers. When I went to pay, it turned out to be $15 per finger--$30 total for two simple swirls. That specific set came out to around $135, which was shocking. I was also not informed ahead of time that the polish I chose was considered a "special" polish with an additional charge. Again, the work itself is beautiful, but the lack of transparency with pricing can be frustrating and uncomfortable as a client. Another area that needs improvement is the appointment system. They really need someone dedicated to the receptionist desk to manage appointments and check-ins. I've had multiple occasions where I arrived on time for my appointment, was told "just a few minutes," and ended up waiting 30 minutes or more. Overall, this is a great salon with talented artists and a lovely atmosphere--but clearer pricing and better appointment management would make a huge difference read more

I asked for builder gel I'm used to it coming in a bottle but the product used on my nails was in a pink container, looked very runny, and had a purple tint (I'm used to it being clear), so I'm not sure what was applied. Don't get Ivy, she's very rude & attempts to charge extra when the owner isn't around. I always bring my own scrub because I'm allergic to theirs & she wanted to charge me extra $ when I've never had to pay before. For using MY own scrub for pedicure. There's a few nail techs who are really good if you find one request them specifically each time. I hated my last set I won't be back anymore I had the removed elsewhere the next day. read more

Just wanted to send an updated review about my experience here : ) I went in to get Gel X and had Stephanie as my nail tech, and to say she slayedd it would be an understatement. I don't know if I can go back to getting regular gel now because she did soo well. Her artistry and attention to detail is superb, she's super gentle, and i fear she's started an addiction that I don't know if I can afford yet To reference, my first set I had here was the multi-colored green french tip w the flowers, by a nail tech I forget the name of (but she also killed it). The set I had done by Stephanie is the green/jade colored cat eye with gold detailing. It is a bit more pricey than I'm used to paying, but for this level of consistency, I think it's worth it :) Would recommend Shang Nail 10/10 - and ask for Stephanie!!! read more

Before going to them consistently, I tried a lot of salons from San Dimas to Glendora and this one reigns supreme. In addition to their friendly staff, amazing area of colors, and media entertainment, I rank them the best for the QUALITY of their products. Maybe a 3.5 star for now. I overall didn't think my nails ended up bad but they have limited options you can choose from. They really push for you to get gel. Lady at the front at first said the gelX and acrylic were the same price but gelX is healthier for nails blah blah. But we had seen the prices before, so we asked what the prices were specifically and she backtracked and said $58 for acrylic and $68 for gelX (sus). Then when we pushed for acrylic she said no acrylic available or something lol. Then we asked about dip powder and guess they did have that option but seems like this was not their area of expertise... and we were told this is very old method which was bad for nails! . Welp. I plan to give this place another shot with their gel-x, since it seems like they are either untrained or don't offer other types of manicures. ALSO we made an appointment for 5:30 (I was on speaker with my sister) and upon arrival they said we made an 5:15 appt and that's why we have to wait a half hr... why gaslight us? Just admit you are busy and have us wait... Update... one week later and some nails chipped and top coat peeling off. And my sister's nails are getting caught in her hair!!! 100% Wouldn't recommend dip powder here. My nail tech (kimmi?) was very sweet and detailed which I appreciate but she likely doesn't do this option often. I made an appointment at 11:30. I got there at 11:25 and realized I was a little early. I have no problem waiting 10 minutes even 15 because I know some designs are more interested than others. After 25 minutes after my appointment time so now I've been there for 30 minutes, I asked them How long it was gonna be because I had an appointment at 11:30. She told me 20 minutes no big deal, when in fact it actually was a big deal. If you can't keep your appointment or keep it close to your appointment times make appointments at all. I wanted to give this nail salon a try, but I had a really disappointing experience. I called on Friday at 6:23 PM to confirm their closing time since Yelp said they closed at 8 PM. I arrived at 7:07 PM and was surprised to see the place was practically empty , barely any customers. But when I asked for a pedicure, they told me they weren't taking anyone else. Idk if I should give 3 or 4 stars so I'm rounding up because I think everything is good other than price. They are open late, super kind, took me last minute and do great work! It was my first time there getting a full set done and not a correction on a few nails I needed. I got a builder gel refill in marble "design" which is just an additive to make the color swirly. It wasn't a fresh set, no bling or intricate design, and relatively short almond nails. So over $100 is just not doable for me. I go to a private nail tech in her own studio and pay $60-75 for something like this. I went here for a last minute need. It seems more luxury pricing and I'd totally come again for special sets like my birthday or maybe a holiday but everyday design or swirls that don't require intricate work I feel like this is quite out of my personal budget. But if you can swing it then go for it because they do seem really lovely for the two times I've stepped in!! read more

A friend recommended this nail salon and it's probably one of the best recommendations I've received. I've been here twice for a gel X manicure. The first time I got a full set I requested black french tip and the second time I got a fill with light purple French tip with a little bit of design. Both visits I had Louis as my nail tech and he was great. I'm surprised the pricing here isn't as expensive as other places I've been ($80/$90 for my first and second visit). For days my nails were sore and I could not even touch hot water, as you can see in the photos they are scabbed over as well.
