Dimitrii and his crew did an amazing job on my third floor deck. He is very detail oriented and patient in explaining to me what needed to be done. He worked within my budget and was always on the lookout for deals for better materials. During the project, there was an anticipated rainstorm- he and his guys made an extra trip out to the house to waterproof and seal up the open spots, very conscientious guy. He was willing to take on extra projects for him that he was able to easily do ( adding a gutter, repairing a vent, redoing siding on the house), but he's really a master at deck work. If you live on a hillside, he knows how to navigate complex situations because he's built many of the decks in the likes of Mount Washington and South Pasadena. Not sure what I can say because the before and after photos really say it all... Dmitrii did an amazing job turning a portion of our bland concrete patio in a beautiful seating area. He made a few different wood and vinyl recommendations, and we ultimately went with redwood because it's beautiful, durable, and tough against termites. When it came time to finish the "deck," we were indecisive on a stain so he brought a few options over and left them for us to think on. After some back and forth, we settled on a waterproof clear coat that was his first suggestion (obviously). He also added decorative trim around our pergola post which really added a nice touch. We finished the deck a month ago and area already having him back in the coming weeks to help with some additional projects. Reasonable pricing, great communication. We have a redwood deck that was falling apart and badly needed replacement or repair. I called Handy Maestro and Dmitrii was out to give an estimate the following day. He gave us several options (replace with redwood, replace with trex or repair the damaged areas). We felt his estimates were reasonable and after giving it some thought we decided to go with the repair since we were on a time crunch. They would replace the damaged boards, sand the remaining boards and stain the entire floor. He was back at the house the following day with his partner and they were able to complete the job in two days. The project involved a bit more work after we realized more boards needed replacing.
