Solid dinner with my friend recently! It was a bit busy on a Thursday evening but we were able to walk in with no wait. We shared a couple appetizers, along with the chicken teriyaki and the vegetable soba noodles. Would say for me the highlights were the chicken teriyaki (very generous portion of meat for the price, and cooked perfectly. Wish i got a picture!) and the pork gyoza (a classic!). Would recommend!

Walked by this place so many times and finally got to try it with my family. The place is cozy with a modern decor. There wasn't too many tables and our server was friendly and attentive. We just got back from Japan but clearly didn't have enough sushi so we decided to try this fusion spot. We ordered a mix of dishes and sushi and enjoyed everything. I specifically liked the kampachi sushi and the beef short ribs, they were soft and tender with good flavor that's not overwhelming.

Great sushi spot they have a ton of specialty rolls but I knew exactly what I wanted and that was the Crispy Eel. Absolute flames I loved that roll so much, but also got some classics: salmon avocado and spicy tuna which were nice. Had an XXL Sapporo that was much needed too.

Whenever I'm in the neighborhood this Sushi restaurant is my go to. Food is always great! Staff are very nice...crispy eel is one of my favorite.

3.5 stars. This Asian fusion spot served up some surprises- pretty interesting American style sushi along with appetizers. Service is fairly fast and does the job. Not overly friendly but all good. We've tried the crispy rice appetizer (Tango Tuna) topped with spicy tuna and a fruity sauce- my feedback to the restaurant is that they instead serve the fruity sauce on the side because it really overpowers the rice/tuna. Check out the "Japan Pizza" too. For the sushi, we tried the Sesame Crust Tuna, Chilean Sea Bass Special Roll and the Truffle Soy Otoro Roll. I've never had such elaborate rolls, and they go all out- I liked these fusion rolls a lot more than I thought (and I'm usually a traditionalist snob!) Some reviews noted that the fish quality was poor, but I didn't get that sense at all. The tempura, however, was not great- stick with the sushi.

My sister and I had a delicious lunch at Hane. We loved the delicious and creative sushi rolls. Service was attentive. Very comfortable seating.

Food is pretty mediocre but the outdoor seating is lovely in great weather and it's dog friendly. They're quick to refill waters but not to actually take your order or check you out and they don't check on you. If you want a local no frills sushi option, this is one. Although we have a lot better options for sushi and service

Took a chance on an unfamiliar part of town, to have some sushi and was pleasantly surprised to have had my expectations exceeded! . For started, this restaurant closes mid day between 3:30pm -5pm. I arrived around 5pm and they opened promptly. Although today was fitting for they're outdoor dining area, I decided to dine inside at the bar . The staff from beginning to end were very friendly and welcoming , as the bartender did assist in helping me decide on a drink. I ordered the Miso soup, beef short rib appetizer, the pork gyoza, a California roll, and rice . THE FOOD WAS SLAMMING!!!! Everything came out in layers which I really appreciated ( soup, sushi rolls &dumplings, then rice and short rib) . The sushi was fresh and the short rib was sssssoooo tender! Pork dumplings and soup really hit the spot as well . For my drink I got the lychee and yuzu marg. It was happy hour so it was BOGO . The ambience was really nice too. Nice design and table layout, ample sunlight, and nice music . The prices are very reasonable too. I would definitely return . 10/10 would recommend

We went on a Saturday afternoon for a b-day lunch celebration for my aunt. Hane had a lunch special which I ordered the vegetable soba. It also comes w/ soup and salad. The rest of my family liked their entrees but esp. the dessert which was both the fried green tea and fried choco ice creams. The waitresses and server were kind. One was very helpful when I wanted to surprise the celebrant w/ their cute bear cake and candle!(see photos) This is a local favorite for Stuytown and Peter Cooper residents.

The ambiance is nice and the staff is friendly. We haven't been here since they remodeled and it is a step up from what it used to be, with a small bar area. The lunch specials are a great deal for the money. The lunch special included miso soup, salad, and two appetizers of your choice. The fish katsu was excellent with fresh crispy fried fish and a delicious dipping sauce. The chicken teriyaki was good, it was a very big portion and the cooked vegetables in teriyaki sauce were very good. We will definitely be back for another lunch special as there are so many options included as well as various appetizers. Two for one drinks are a bargain as well.

Loved this place. I went here after a boat party and I must say it was definitely a great place. I have never been to a sushi restaurant where there was a photo for every roll offered. That made me try new items i probably would not have if there wasn't the photos. The service was great as well they were very attentive. I absolutely loved the sushi as well, it was made fresh and different rolls than what I am accustomed to.

Lousy in-person take out service, They add additional fees for holidays: meals were more expensive on Valentine's Day and Christmas Eve.

Reservations open 2 weeks in advance around 10am and they go super fest so I recommend you try for the day you need as for me I could only have gotten brunch on a Sunday. Those people spam the crap out of their buttons for the dinner spots and when I went I can see why. The place is brimming with old school New York charm and it's completely overwhelmingly beautiful and has an old jazzy vibe to it. It's large and spacious and they sat us in the middle of the entire restaurant. (I had a group of 6) The vibe was so good you don't really want to leave and they also don't really kick you out. I think we were the last ones to exit for brunch but they were so nice they didn't kick us out. Their espresso martinis are ok. It wasn't as amazing as a regular cocktail bar but it is just ok. We started off with a shrimp cocktail, smoked whitefish Caesar salad and the two plates of truffle monkey bread which was soooo good. I really enjoyed this as it's the main reason we came here. It's almost like a honey dinner roll with truffle. We got everything next which some people got their own and some shared. Some people got their own American breakfast platter which was some overdone eggs and a meat with gigantic toast and if you only order scrambled eggs it comes in a bowl but I would much rather order their classics like steak sandwich and the spicy shrimp was pretty good! Fries are top tier! I can see why people just come here for dinner. I would give it mostly 5 stars for the overall ambiance and environment and a few classics. I think their old fashioned is better than their espresso martinis though even though it looks so good in this type of setting! It's hard to get a reservation though so next time I'll need to try some new things if I score another!

Decor/actual restaurant: This particular location is very small and tight with limited in-store seating. The interior is cute, I like the blue color theme they have here. For a restaurant designed for to-go orders, I believe that there could be more waiting room and a couple less chairs. Service: Like many "fast food adjacent" restaurants, the people who work there have good customer service but I imagine deal with the worst. I know they're doing great with the situation they're in. Kudos to them. Food: this is probably my harshest critique. I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich, and it was fine. I don't believe it was worth the $16 I spent though. The chicken was kind of bland, tasted similarly to frozen grilled chicken pieces you buy from a grocery store. I do wish there was more sauce. The pesto tasted good but overall there was too much bread. I fear you would be better off making something like this at home for a comparable price. The bread was good, just too much. I don't want to base the menu on this sandwich alone, a lot of the menu options sounded delicious, but this was just the experience I had!
