Ordered the lunch special through GH for pick up. Food was ready when I got there. Very efficient. Nice decor inside. Some tables and chairs but not a big dining area. Shrimp pad see ew is flavorful. The shrimps were huge but I wish there were more. The flat noodles had good texture. It didn't fall apart as I picked it up. Fried tofu was not bad. The sauce gave it a good boost of flavor. More on the sweet side. Overall great food. Good price and good portion. Solid spot for a decent lunch. read more

Thai Delight was an unexpected delight! So basically all of the popular Thai restaurants on Resy and OpenTable were all booked up for the next few hours around Union Square. I did some more research on Yelp and found Thai Delight, which happened to not be on either of those reservation sites. We called and there was no wait and off we went. Thai Delight ended up being a smaller-sized spot offering both inside and outside seating. The kitchen was actually contained within the dining area. While the restaurant wasn't too crowded since dinner was winding down, they seemed to still be processing a high number of to-go orders. The gentleman who served us was very attentive and polite and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our food. I ordered the Bangkok noodle with pork ($13.99) which was amazing. Tremendous flavor with pleasant fat flat noodles. Yum! And the portion size was ideal. I also tried the papaya salad ($9.99) which was refreshing and got even better with each bite. The place isn't too big. The cooking station is in an awkward part of the restaurant. Right in the middle but doesn't really affect the service or the food. The waiter was very nice. We shared the Chicken Satay. I loved the cucumber sauce. It had a nice vinegary flavor. The peanut sauce could have been a bit saucier. It was chunky and the taste was ok. The satay was ok as well. The chicken looked tofu-esque but it was chicken. My husband initially ordered Tofu w/ garlic sauce but they brought chicken. The waiter was very apologetic and offered take back the chicken and do the tofu order but my husband decided to keep it. I took a taste and it was excellent! They had real pieces of garlic in it. If you're a garlic lover, you will LOVE this dish. I went w/ the Kaw Soi w/ shrimp. The broth was a little sour than how I normally like it but it was still good. When we walked by it looks like a little hole in the wall. Dark and not much seating. But we decided to try it and couldn't be happier we did. We had the papaya salad as an appetizer. We were looking for some cheap healthy dinner and stumbled on Thai Delight. What a delight! We ordered the chicken pad thai and the wonton soup, both absolutely delicious. Here's what you need to know: 1. Noodles here are all so fresh. No matter what the dish (especially the flat rice noodles), you know that everything is good quality, which makes it even more delicious. 2. Range of proteins available for the dishes and everything is at an excellent price point. It's easily become a go-to for that reason. 3. Fairly good portion sizes and amount of spice 4. Super easy to order online and food was ready in less than 20 mins for carry out. Crab Rangoon s are really good and al is the chicken pad Thai. Papaya salad regular spicy is super spicy so avoid if you can't handle heat. Great Thai addition to Gramercy. read more

So I've been working in this area since 2021 and quickly learned of this place. The food is good however the gentleman that is usually in the front and sometimes will stop to go help and cook is rude and not hospitable at all. He also seems biased towards certain cultures and will serve the men first. I order the same thing every day and have for years yet I walk on there and he doesn't so much as crack a smile. I have walked in there and he's helping in the kitchen and will make eye contact with me and continue what he's doing for another 10 mins until he comes to take my takeout order. Today I waited for my pick up order for 10 mins that I had ordered 25 mins before. He was prepping mine and another gentleman came in and he said hello to him, and got his order right out. Gave him his order, cashed him out and then grabbed my order in 2.5 seconds. I'm done with the rudeness, I'll take my money elsewhere. The food isn't worth all of that. read more

Sunday, 1/8/2023 around 1 ish, party of 3. We were greeted and able to sit wherever we liked. We immediately received menus and water. The gentlemen was very pleasant and patient as 2 of the diners were not familiar with Thai food. One ordered a Shrimp Tom Yum Soup which he enjoyed. The lady ordered the Basil Fried Rice with no pepper spice. She enjoyed it and took some home. I had the Chicken Drunken Noodles which were delicious and very flavorful. Thank you for cutting the hot peppers with seed big enough for me to find and push to the side. Overall, we were not rushed at all and enjoyed some time catching up over some tasty food. The restaurant is slightly on the smaller side as seating is very limited. However, at the time that I went which was Friday around 1pm, there was still some seating left. The service is extremely fast and I was able to order from the lunch menu. As for the lunch menu, their portions are pretty decent for the amount you pay. This tiny space has been a lot of restaurants over the years, most recently a Vietnamese place that was barely open a month. Now it's Thai, and I liked everything about it, and wish them well. I ordered a noodle dish and asked for it spicy, with my usual request to "pretend I'm Thai, and cook it like you would for a Thai person," and it was just right. Nice coconutty broth for the noodles, and a tasty tall Thai iced tea on the side. They've applied for a license to sell wine and beer, but until that comes through, you can bring your own. The music they play is very tranquil, and it was pleasantly hypnotic, while hearing that music and getting a nice endorphin rush from the spice, to watch all the people out the window hustling down Third Avenue A very pleasant experience all around. read more

Not delightful at all. You know there's a red flag when you order hot appetizers and they come out 3 mins later (I need not exaggerate...we were starving so normally this would be a good thing). Same timing (maybe 5 mins) after the entrees were ordered, they came out. Everything was overly sauced, especially the pad thai, and sub par. While we were still eating, they pushed the check on us (it was 9:40p and they reminded us that they close at 10p). We gave our card then their internet went down so we were forced to wait an extra 20 mins after we finished. We finally decided to walk 2 blocks away to find an ATM then walk back to pay. So happy this place came to the neighborhood. Food is so tasty, and lots of great options for vegetarians as well. Very friendly staff. Never waited more than 20 min for my food. I have probably eaten here about 15 times, and it's very consistent and always delicious. I love spicy Thai food, and they use the right amount of spice here- definitely feel the heat but not so hot that your mouth goes numb and you only taste the chilis. I ordered takeout from here for myself and some friends as we were setting up my new apartment and the food was amazing!! We ordered the Thai red curry, the veg and tofu drunken noodles and the basil fried rice. They were also kind enough to call about my online order and double check about the dietary restrictions I had included in the notes.
