Abort landing! The first word that comes to mind is disappointing. We had such high hopes for another great breakfast place near Norton, but alas, the food was just not up to par with other places near by. On the positive side, the service is friendly and quick. The place is very nice and it's fun being right in the airport. Unfortunately, the food was just mediocre. I had the steak and eggs special with white toast and hash browns. Hash browns are a. It of a misnomer - they were more like hash pales. Undercooked and bland. The toast also could have been done more - still soft and white for the most part. My medium rare steak, however, was cooked - too a nice medium well. My wife had the Irish Benny - eggs Benedict with homemade corned beef hash on a Portuguese muffin. The corned beef hash was okay, but not the "best" we've had by far. The corned beef was in too big of chunks and too sweet. The poached eggs were definitely NOT runny, over cooked, and the hollandaise sauce was bland. On another good note, my wife really enjoyed her home fries. This is dinner quality food, at best, for a little higher than the food deserved. As I said, we were really hoping Hanger 12 would be great. Omgosh, our breakfast was soo good. E got the brioche French toast and skillet breakfast. Hash was homemade not canned. So yummy. PREPARE FOR TAKE OFF!! We stumbled upon Hangar 12 this morning for some breakfast and WOW did we find a gem. Never judge a book by its cover! We could've sworn we were lost and just walked into a small airport but fear not, you just found the best breakfast in Massachusetts! The Crystal Cloud French Toast was the best French toast we have ever had. So light and fluffy with the perfect crispy exterior. The Irish Benedict was excellent, I wish I could've finished all this food but 3 dishes between the two of us was a steep challenge. Great coffee, clean restaurant and a kind staff. Came here for a late breakfast this morning. I figured because of the ratings the food and service would be stellar. Sad to say we left very disappointed. Beyond the fact that the online menu does not reflect the current menu was a huge disappointment , however the service (or lack of) was more atrocious. Our waitress barely said two words to us, did not even introduce herself and seemed like she didn't want to be there. We didn't say anything at the table but later on during the day discussed how terrible the service was. Sad to say, I had high hopes but was let down. Literally me to my husband on our way to visit family for Christmas: 'It stinks there aren't any fun, really good restaurants in the area' Well I'm legit eating my words with that one. This place is amazing. Their portions are huge and delicious. I got the Irish Benny because my parents wouldn't stop talking about how amazing the corned beef is. Now, for an Irish girl, I'll eat corned beef once a year, but this I could eat again and again. My dad, who has an appetite ordered a single pancake with a side of the corned beef. Single pancake? Really? Umm when the pancake takes up the entire place setting, yah one is enough. My son got a waffle that is out of this world with a fruit cup to boot. The location couldn't be cooler- head right on in and it's on your left!! When the weather is nice they have outdoor seating with a fun wooden toy airplane for the kiddos to check out. It's an odd, out of the way place. No restaurant sign on the building. The food was ok. Average priced. Good menu. It was a bit loud since it was a small place. Went on a Saturday morning and apparently just beat the rush. It was very busy when we arrived and people were waiting when we left. Service was smooth and quick. I got the French toast, which reminded me of funnel cakes. My mom got the waffle, which was nice sized and crispy. It came with mixed berry compote, which I borrowed for my French toast LOL. This particular day we had the Baked Apple pancakes, which was superb. 3 large pancakes with apple pie filling with fresh apples, then baked and served in a hot dish was just perfect. A wonderful new destination breakfast-lunch spot has opened in Mansfield, MA - Hangar 12. Right off the Mansfield MA Regional Airport and views to the runway - Hangar 12 is a refreshing addition to the food scene in Mansfield. We went for breakfast after seeing several posts on Facebook, so we had to try it. We were not disappointed - that's for sure. Hangar 12 opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 2 p.m. - offering Breakfast and Lunch. The food is made to order and the portions are generous and authentic. I had the Irish Eggs Benedict and home fries. IT comes with 3 poached eggs - perfectly cooks and runs when cut and is on a Portuguese bun, a nice twist to the English muffin, but considering the food portion - I can see why. The star of the plate was the chunky pieces of corned beef. The corned beef is cooked on premises and flavorful. It was a refreshing taste of sweetness of the bun, chunky flavor of the corned beef, beautifully cooked poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce to cover. It was a masterful combination with each bite. Being a fan of corned beef - was pleased it was not a chopped up hash. After eating this treat, I barely had room for the home potatoes. My family had Chicken and waffles and fruit french toast. Expect to wait for the chicken as they fresh cook them to order. However, the chicken was a quality piece of meat and not the processed or cheaper cut of chicken strips you can find in other places. I would have liked to see an actual chicken on the bone served - but can see why for a breakfast item - along with a great menu selection - this may not be possible. The breading was light and portions generous. The French toast was golden brown, with slight crispy outer with soft interior - just what you would expect. Hangar 12 does not take short cuts and the food speaks volumes for itself. Service was excellent - the waitresses came by often to refill coffee and keep it hot. The owners are also good at stopping by and ensuring all is good. Hangar 12 is a great new addition to Mansfield and certainly a great alternative to other breakfast places in Mansfield that can be a bit crowded and expensive menu's. Hangar 12 menu is concise and yet you don't feel like you are being cheated as you have options to pick a standard breakfast to your liking. They add specials often and the quality remains - which I hope will stay the same as they continue. Price is reasonable for the quality and portions you get. We will come back for a lunch and give an update - but if it is anything like breakfast - won't be a disappointment for sure. read more

Something is amiss at Hangar 12. They have new waitstaff, and my server thought my order of an omelet with cheese and bacon was complicated. Maybe it was the orange juice I ordered to drink that put her into a tailspin. Usually the food at Hangar 12 is very good, but today my omelet was rubbery, the bacon was gross, the cheese was tasteless. They no longer make real home fries but deep fry frozen bits, and they were tasteless as well. I couldn't eat more than half my omelet it was so unappetizing.
