The place was dirty and not well kept. The office staff is not very friendly. The pharmacist who took molds for my feet was nice. They took so long to get back to me and when I called they let me know that my insurance denied my claim. I had to do all the work, and then they told me I had to pay out of pocket for the orthotics. Very expensive! So I canceled the order and I'm going to another clinic that actually cares about me and is willing to explain and be proactive about a call back. If I wouldn't have called, they would have not called me back and I would have waisted my time going into a follow up appointment just to let me know that I had been denied. I'm obviously still frustrated with the whole matter. I'm glad to not go there ever again. read more

Arm was broken in several places in April. We needed a brace and after a fitting by a technician, I was told it would be made within 2 to 3 weeks. We called them often to check on the progress. They rarely returned phone calls and after nearly 3 months they said the company they use could not make the brace. Unbelievable. This negligence resulted in an increase in terrible pain. Tiffany Day is the absolute best. Professional, knowledgeable and experienced. Our son was born with torticollis which resulted in plagiocephaly. We were recommended by our OT and PT to see Tiffany for cranial molding and we are so thankful she was recommended to us! Our son's flat head was corrected in a little less than 3 months. Anytime I emailed Tiffany, she responded quickly. She even squeezed me in for an appointment same day to adjust our son's helmet. Her communication was great, especially being first time (nervous) parents. She allowed us to help make decisions for Harlow's treatment plans and never made us feel pressured. All her treatments were based on research and numerical results which she clearly explained to us and we appreciated so much. The clinic in orange on Main street is extremely unprofessional!! I do not recommend this clinic. They say they have a walk-in clinic but they make you wait a very very long time. The front desk person told me to return at 8 o'clock the next morning as a walk-in. When I arrived, they said they could not see me because they had a staff meeting.then the office manager was argumentative and very unprofessional. The girls were whispering behind the desk and made the experience extremely uncomfortable. The office manager told me that the clinic manager was going to talk to me. She put me in a room and close the door and left me there for a while longer. Then when the clinic manager came in, he was very unpleasant. No apology nothing. After amputation of my lower limb on my right leg, while I was still in hospital, a man cam intoducing himeself as Yoni Diamond, he seems to be nice, we spoke, and I still had no idea who was he. Then I was discharged fro hospital I recie n the sved a phone cal fro Hunter clinic in Brooklyn, NY, screenshey made an appointment. I came to the clinic and I saw Yony Diamond, he said he is going to wark with me to make me a prostetic leg. He start doing some kind of manipulations with computer, drowing some 3D pictures on the screen. in a couple of weeks, my prostetic leg was done. When I wore first time I start feelinf sharp pain, he was trying to adjust it, and after many adjustment pain was getting worst and worst. He said I nightmarehave to get used to it. For almost a year , because wrong prosthetic leg I was in great pain, I couldn't sleep, my life was a nightmare, then he asked me to get a new referral from doctor for ne socket, and again he made all wrong, even worst then first sucket was. for the hole year, 2021, he made my life a nightmare, so I changed clinic, they said they can't do anything because Hunter clinic spent all money from Madicare and Medicaid,. Now I have to wait 3 to 5 years untill they pay for new prostetic leg, almost $7 000 was waisted. I hate those people, I hate Hunter clinic. I urge everyone to Avoid Hunter clinic. My mother was told Medicare provided leg braces for free every 5 years. She explained that she had a Medicare Advantage Plan and wanted to make sure they would be free through them as well. Hangar Clinic told her they called her insurance company to confirm there would be no charge for her. However, one year later she is being billed over $500. When I called her insurance, Aetna, they informed me the charge was for co-insurance but if someone had called them on the provider line, then Aetna would have informed them she still had a co-insurance she would have to pay. Hangar obviously doesn't care and only wanted the money. Now my mother has braces that hurt her feet AND she's being charged for them when she was told she wouldn't be. The technician was excellent - however the choices of lab they use for orthotics is poor quality. I went through 2 sets of orthotics- first one did not fit and required mutiple adjustment and the the second set was better however the material they use is poor quality. They are hard - poor flexibility - increased your pain to your heels and made your feet burn . You think the material they would use will be sports oriented . Impossible to do a long walk with them or even run. I guess I will have to try the running store - for a softer fit and cough up some money . They do not do plaster and the box is a cheaper process and not as accurate. I called 10 locations plus I called corporate. It was tough to get a straight answer with some on their processes. Past experience with other podiatrists... The box foam is too flimsy and not as accurate as plaster which molds to every nook and cranny of your foot. Uncertain on laser. I had great success with plaster. It's more accurate, longer lasting and more durable and sturdy. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE Customer Service!!! I made an appointment with Hanger Clinic in July and they couldn't get me in until September!!! The woman who made my appointment initially didn't tell me of any specific paperwork needed for my appointment to get diabetic shoes made - she told me to bring my prescription t o the appointment. Then literally the day before my appointment they called wanting a ton of documents that all needed to be signed by my doctor because they wouldn't accept the prescription from my foot surgeon or documentation from my primary doctor who manages my diabetes. The woman who called was BEYOND RUDE and totally condescending! She was nasty on the phone and it was completely disrespectful! Then the day of my appointment I called their office because I coo couldn't find their location because I was given the wrong address and she got even more rude! In the end they wouldn't help me because I'm a Medicare patient and I guess they didn't want to be bothered in helping me as they are no longer taking Medicare patients which seems crazy especially since one of their big offices is in Laguna Woods where the community is made of mostly Seniors on Medicare?! Anyhow, this woman didn't want to help me at all so she gave me information for one of their biggest competitors because she said Hanger couldn't be bothered with Medicare patients which is so odd and made me wonder if this is how this company does business! Nonetheless, I have already contacted their competitor and they have been incredibly helpful in finally getting my diabetic shoes made! They will be completing all the necessary paperwork for me, making the process go much more smoothly than this awful Hanger Clinic! read more

It should not take months to get your shoe back for a common lift from a leg discrepancy I have lived with since 1981. These people have no clue what they are doing and pass the buck in a circle from one to the other, inventing bizarre and nonsense rules about why they have not proceeded with a shoe they have had for 2 months. The first shoe they did took 3 months to get back and I was in the most horrible pain from the leg discrepancy and a bad chiropractor who crippled me. The 7 bulging vertebrae and leg discrepancy was pinching my pirriformis nerve, among others, and I literally could not walk for 7 months, being confined to my recliner while awake and getting little sleep at night without heavy doses of narcotics. My only relief was to have the shoe lifted and they dragged their feet for months getting it done. How kind or sympathetic was that? Now they are claiming I need a new prescription!! The shoe they lifted is falling apart after 7 months. The tip of the shoe is dragging on things and catching grass leaves in between the layers. Let's talk about cheap work to begin with, shall we? WHY demand a prescription?? I am paying this out of pocket. There is no insurance involved. They submit the invoice to no one but me. A call to corporate has netted 0 results. They prevaricate, stutter and refuse to provide good service. I have had this discrepancy since 1981. My leg is not going to miraculously grow. Basically, no one is responsible at this company, which means no one cares. Don't fall for their BS about customer service. That's not something they care about! I am impressed with the technician that did the impressions during the first visit and the following visit to pick up the shoe inserts. I am completely disappointed with the people in the front office. They should know insurance and completely got it wrong. On my fist visit, they told me Medicare would not cover the orthotics. I knew that. BUT when I left after my second visit, they said my insurance more. I realize I signed an estimate of the cost but to be off by $326.00 is absurd. I personally will NEVER use any Hanger Clinic location ever again. I live a few miles from the Hanger Clinic in Hemet California. The front office personnel always seems unhappy with her job or life and is always short and seems unfriendly. The last time I used that location there were many issues and poor communication and it took Two Months to get my replacement new inserts, they blamed the delay on the manufacture, additionally they were terrible at communicating the delay and reason. I completed a Customer Survey and gave them a very poor review, so Corporate reached out to me and we discussed my concerns and I agreed to give them another chance using a different office, the Orange California location. Everything started off rocky, the Orange Office wanted me to go further out of my way to Irvine, California location. I told them no, I would just use a different vendor. They made arrangements for me to be seen in the Orange California office. I was seen and it all seemed to go very well and I was happy (not for long). The day I was scheduled to go in and pick up my new shoes and inserts, I got a call as I was leaving and was told my shoe and inserts weren't there, I knew the shoes were and told them so. They then informed me my insert would be in the follow week or next, it has now been Three (3) additional weeks, Actually Four (4) weeks as of today that my inserts are not ready. I got a call today that they would be in next week and they wanted to make an appointment for me to come in. I called to inform them I wouldn't be able to schedule for next week until they were actually in, I wa then told they were already in and they were scheduling for pick up the next week, I told them I needed them before then as I would be out of town and had waited long enough and would just picked them up, they then back tracked their statement and said they weren't in yet and were scheduled to be delivered next week. They blame there supplier or the manufacture for the delay, they need to get a different supplier and or manufacture, as they have lost my Business. Will be going back to "Inland Artificial" as I NEVER had supply issue with Them. Good Luck Hanger, keep up your business practice and you will be out of business sooner that later. By the way, this is NOT related to COVID-19, because this happen the first time before COVID-19 and they are using the same excuse, it is the manufacture not them. My visit to Hanger Clinic (4045 E Bell Rd, Phoenix) on Feb. 1st, 2023 was absolutely wonderful! Lori and Norma were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and caring in every aspect of my visit. Lori spent so much time with me, explaining the components of the knee brace, how to adjust the brace, and letting me and my husband go through the entire process to make sure we knew how to adjust it for the best fit possible before leaving the clinic. She wanted us to feel comfortable and confident that we knew what we were doing. When Norma explained the cost estimate, I understood each charge and my estimated patient responsibility. I've had to be fitted for many prosthetic and orthotic devices since 2012, and this appointment was by far the easiest and most understandable of all my fittings. The knee brace that I received is the best one I've worn so far. It's fitted extremely well and I understand how to adjust it and how to troubleshoot problems that I may encounter. read more

Went to hanger clinic at mease countryside. Jason was the person who fitted me for a back brace. It took well over a month to get it. The brace was not user friendly,so I took it back, and Jason tried to show me how to adjust it. I got home and when I took it off the arm straps just loosened by themselves and I couldn't figure out how to adjust it.it has some material,a thin rod in the middle of the back,and a lot of Velcro to adjust.it's the worst apparatus I've ever used. About 4 months later, I asked her what was happening, and she asked what I was talking about. She went back up and re-read the messages and apologized for forgetting.
