Horrible service. We are still waiting for a simple product to arrive from the warehouse, they were supposed to get it 7 weeks ago.

I had a very frustrating experience with BodySpec and would not recommend them if you care about…read moreaccuracy and consistency in your body composition data. My report initially contained a confirmed processing error. After I pointed it out, they "reanalyzed" the same scan and uploaded corrected results -- but the numbers for the exact same scan date (October 26, 2025) are different between the old and new reports. This includes different body fat percentages and lean mass values for the same scan, which should never happen. Despite this, they insist the updated results are "accurate" and refused to offer a complimentary rescan. What's more frustrating is that when I asked for clear validation (what exactly went wrong, what changed, and why the two reports still show different data), they avoided directly answering the most important question: why the same scan still produces conflicting results across reports. That lack of transparency is unacceptable. If a company cannot guarantee consistent results from the same scan, then the reliability of their entire service is questionable. I rely on these scans to track real progress, and this experience has completely undermined my confidence in their data. Reply to BodySpec: Once again, I want to re-emphasize that you've changed the results for the same scan THREE times!! Imagine if I had trusted your data from the beginning and never contacted your team to look into it -- I would have been relying on the wrong data. What's the point of doing the scan if the data is incorrect? All I'm asking is for you to compensate for YOUR MISTAKE by allowing me to have a complimentary rescan, and I'll let this go. But your customer service has dodged my question and is essentially saying "trust me on the data." How can I trust it after my data has changed THREE TIMES?

This was my first time doing a body spec scan and I didn't really know what to expect. I have been…read moreworking out pretty regularly with Orangetheory fitness, where they will sometimes perform an InBody scan to measure your body fat and muscle and weight and progress in improving these as your workout regularly. But even OTF is upfront about the fact that the DexaScan is the most accurate measurement tool. So I wanted to sign up for a DexaScan to get a baseline measurement of my physical state. They have many different packages, but I just went with the 2 scans per quarter (3 months) for $79.95, which comes out to about $40/scan and seems reasonable. Signup is easy, all done online via their website. You choose a date and ~15 minute window and just show up a few minutes early. The parking is easy, with plenty of spots in the lot behind the building. There are two semi-walled off "rooms" where the machines are located, one in each. It's basically a giant table and an x-ray machine. You lay on it for about 8 minutes and it's done. The guy who did my scan, Juan, made sure to wipe down and disinfect the surfaces before it was my turn. And my results were emailed to me within 10 minutes of completing the scan. All results are saved in your online BodySpec profile. I'll be back in a few months time to see if I've improved!

Her knowledge of anatomy mixed with her precision adjustments have brought me so much relief. There is little as humbling as a back injury when it comes to throwing your world upside down and knowing I have someone to go to for help is already something that heals me. Adjustments are done in about 30 minutes and they have tables that move up and down as well as pressure guns. They also offer massage therapy but I've yet to try that. Location is in an older office building but the waiting room is clean and even has a kids corner my children have used. Love that it is located on Cal Ave.

AJ's skill is extremely unique and my entire body feels better after his magic. Before an appointment one time my shoulders and neck were quite stiff and after the appointment I immediately felt it was easier to turn my head to check my blindspots while driving home. His ear massages put me to sleep almost immediately in the best way possible. To me, his massages can feel more effective than full body hands-on massages as it truly feels like energy can be released through the specific points he works on and he seems to be very in-tune with what the body needs. My mood is always elevated after an appointment, the worst part is when the appointment is over and my body is wanting more. I discovered him through a former reflexology practitioner in the area who moved away years ago and I am SO glad AJ is available! His style of massage is very hard to find. While traveling in other states I haven't been able to find anyone who matches his skill level in truly understanding how effective reflexology is and how healing it can be. Can't recommend him enough!

The bloodwork…read moreindicated an abnormal value and i have serious side effects after starting her prescribed protocol. Dr. Gherman refused to provide further treatment, stating that I had violated protocol by exceeding the dose. When I offered to show how much I had used, she told me that that I had obtained a second dose of medicine from another person and that she would be calling the police. She didn't even try and make a referral for another physician. Does she want me to have a health problem? This is highly unethical. How can someone like that practice medicine? I do not know why the blood work levels are so high. My ankles are very swollen, I have gained a lot of weight, and my blood pressure was up. It is not caused by exceeding the dose. I don't know what caused this problem. I want to get treatment. I don't want to gain 20lbs of weight! I wanted to lose 5-10 lbs and now. I don't want swollen feet or high blood pressure. I don't know why it happened but it could be related to the hormone therapy that Dr. Gherman put me on and I want to understand my health better. I'm concerned about my health. I had a positive attitude about Dr. Gherman. I was always happy to see her, even up until the day that she concocted the story that I was exceeding the dose. When she asks "how are you?", I respond "happy to see you." I followed Dr. Gherman's instructed dose by taking the medication once weekly on the same day. One time, I took it two days late, but other than that, it was every Friday. I am completely current on all of my doses and have not exceeded the dose at all, nor have I taken external sources of medication, as Dr. Gherman falsely claimed. The health problem I have is swollen ankles. Dr. Gherman was too busy during our prior scheduled appointment (I came 5 minutes early). She did not give the medication she said she would give me to counteract the problem. In the most recent visit, she said that the reason I didn't get the medication was that I had run out in a hurry, but that wasn't true! I left because she was too busy and I came back as soon as we both could meet. I was on time and she was overbooked. We agreed that I'd come back as soon as possible, and I called soon to schedule an appointment at the earliest time. I was not upset that she was too busy; I was understanding and did not mind coming back. The office staff was friendly. It has a very strong smell of plug in air fresheners (which gives me asthma). But compared to the egregious medical malpractice, I can't say these details make a huge difference in the overall care I've received. I'm really concerned about my ankle swelling and bloodwork values and I want to make sure that I am doing everything under medical supervision. I have been clear about this to all of my doctors. But after I told my primary care doctor about starting treatment with Maria, he was upset because he did not want me to do hormone replacement treatment (my hormone levels were a bit low and much lower than normal). My primary care doctor won't treat my swollen ankles because I went to do hormone therapy with Maria and Maria won't treat me because she wrongly thinks I'm exceeding the dose. Both of these doctors are acting wrongly. Dr. Gherman came to the wrong conclusion. It's a plausible explanation for why my bloodwork was too high, but it's wrong. She can ask if I'm exceeding the dose. But if I say I'm not exceeding the dose, we should try to figure out what is going on with the bloodwork so that we can fix the issue. She should not conclude that I am lying and then proceed to make up a story about how I have exceeded the dose by obtaining from a friend. I don't know how or where to follow up with my condition. I am concerned about my health.

I never really considered seeing a physical therapist until I started working with Dr. Joey, and I'm so glad I did. During my sessions, we worked through targeted exercises and drills, along with cupping therapy, to improve my mobility and reduce pain. Dr. Joey took the time to educate me on the root causes of my issues and provided video demonstrations of exercises I could continue doing at home. Over time, I noticed a significant improvement in my range of motion and a reduction in pain, especially with everyday activities like bending down and picking things up from the floor. Now that Dr. Joey and Dr. Josh have opened their new facility in Redwood City, I've been able to continue my strength training while also rehabbing my knee in their gym. What really sets Progressive Motion apart is the integrated approach they offer. Not only do you have access to exceptional physical therapy, but there are also in-house personal trainers available to help guide you through your workouts. The entire staff is incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and supportive. Whether you have questions about exercise form, movement mechanics, or injury prevention, there is always someone available to help. It's reassuring to know you're surrounded by Licensed massage therapists, physical therapists, and personal trainers/strength coaches who share a common philosophy. As well as, individuals who genuinely care about helping you move and feel better. My physical therapist assigned…read moreexercises, but it seemed like I was prone to tearing other tendons if I didn't start building muscle. I chose Palo Alto Fit because of its location and one-on-one training rather than a group class at, let's say, 24H Fitness. Before coming here, I didn't know how to use any of the machines, how to target certain muscle groups, or how to set reasonable goals while keeping track of my progress. However, through each session, I've learned how to use these machines and set goals for the week (especially regarding diet and lifestyle choices) so when I go about my day to day or do workouts on my own, I know how to determine an appropriate goal, workout weight, or set up a machine properly for myself. I knew I needed someone to help me one-on-one to understand my areas of improvement, and when receiving help and support, I strongly value consistency in my mentor/coach/tutor, which it seems PAF also values. I've been able to reschedule sessions (even last minute) while keeping my same coach, which is another point of appreciation! PAF starts you off with a free fitness assessment where they take your in-body scan and you talk about your goals. Every 4 weeks, you do another scan, and it's been great seeing and physically feeling the results!! It's been about 6 months now, and I only go once a week due to finances and scheduling, but it's worth every penny and I genuinely look forward to my workouts with my coach. My coach, Coach Joshua Villagomez, is well-versed in physiology and genuinely listens to me during the workouts and when I say I want to focus on a specific thing for my body. He pushes me to grow stronger and beyond the limits of what I could have ever imagined myself doing, and seeing the progress in the results has been seriously worth it. I've completed physical therapy much quicker than anticipated, and I'm now able to do more than before in terms of shoulder mobility and usage. I'm extremely grateful to him! I know everyone says their coach is the best, but he's seriously THE BEST. One thing that really helped me personally for financing this fitness journey was the flexibility for packages. They asked for the payment for the 12-week package (chose this package based on my goals and schedule) upfront. I genuinely can't afford that, but Nina (the owner) was kind enough to make a custom package that was realistically payable for me. She didn't want to turn me away because at the end of the day, health is wealth, and she helped me make that a priority. I'm not quite a gym rat yet, maybe just gym gerbil, but I'm excited to continue my health journey with my coach and PAF! -- Other things to note: - lockers, showers, small microfiber towels provided - I've even borrowed workout gloves when I felt like my hands were hurting from lifting the bar (an unfamiliar thing for me) - everything is kept extremely clean; it even smells clean all the time - water fountain inside - very well temperature-controlled (it could be 10° or 100° outside, but the inside is a good room temp) and good air flow - high ceilings - natural light - parking is easy (lot behind the building, street parking, and city garage across the street)
