Excellent food. Me and my wife had the classic burger "medium" and it was bit overcooked to my liking g but still good. The fry's were amazing. I will be back for sure to try the pizza.

Today we got the following: Special - Pulled pork on a pretzel bun with fries. Two orders. Wow, it exceeded my expectations. Well, I honestly did not have high expectations. The pork was tender and flavorful; I did not even need the extra BBQ sauce that I asked for but used it to not waste it. And with a generous amount of fries; my buddy did not finish his fries. I also like the nice touch of a fried pickle on top of the slider. Fish and Chips - My other buddy that was craving BBQ switched to this and loved it. Chicken Breast Sandwich - My healthy buddy. He was also not able to finish his fries. All of which was good. And I plan to come back for Happy hour in the future. Especially Wing Wednesdays! Ambiance - Larger than expected. Larger than it looked from the outside. This place is like two units. I hope my pictures did it justice. Full bar, plenty of tables in both rooms. Pool tables, darts, etc. Semi open kitchen. Plenty of street parking. Open 6 days a week; closed Mondays. Service - Colgan (name on receipt) was so professional! Checked up on us very often. Even better, he was proactive and asked us if we wanted this or that with our orders. Price - $57 + generous tip. FYI - 4% credit card charge or 4% cash discount, see picture. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2014. We have actually been hanging out in this area for the last few years and now will be more frequent customers.

I can't believe I'm actually going to give this review a one star review…read more Great Basin Brewing has been a favorite of ours for well over a year almost 2 years now. It's been our go to place. Today being Father's Day, we were out and about in town and decided we would eat there. All the way there I kept bragging to my grandson how great this place is and it's our go to spot. yada yada yada. It wasn't very busy and we were seated very quickly. The service has always been pretty friendly. The service today was adequate and I'll get to that in a second. My grandson ordered the pork belly, Mac and cheese. I kept saying how that is a really good choice and he's really going to like it. My wife ordered the half rack ribs with fries and coleslaw. I had what I think is called the butchers platter with ribs, chicken wings, and pork belly. The food arrived and looked pretty darn good. But that's where it ends. My wife kept saying how salty the food was. And I got to thinking about that as I was eating my wings with the so-called Memphis dust flavoring on them. Those were equally salty so I thought wow OK maybe it's just our taste buds. Then I tried my ribs and they were also salty. I tried my wife's ribs just to see if they were that salty and come to find out they really were and dry. The fries that came with my wife's food tasted like they were old like they've been sitting out for a while. The coleslaw was also bland. After bragging about the pork belly and cheese, my grandson stated that it was pretty bland with very little flavor. So I tried it just to see what was going on and sure enough it was really lacking something what I don't know. I'm thinking garlic because it was pretty darn bland. I honestly hate to give a review like this because I really like this place as I said before it's been our go to spot. Now, as far as the service the server, she was very friendly, but that was pretty much it, after getting our food she didn't even check on us until it was about time for us to leave and she brought us our check. It's just kind of weird because there's a couple of servers here that are exceptional. So I don't know what's going on, but this was a very big letdown for a couple of regular customers. As usual, the place is clean and spacious with plenty of TVs to enjoy sports. In the end, the beverages were about the best part of the meal. It was Father's Day, so my beer was free so thank you for that maybe this was just a rough day. I don't know. I don't know if you have new cooks or what but this was pretty bad considering how much we like this place and how good it has always been.

It's a great setup with a small arcade, a bowling pro shop, a bar with gaming, and a snack bar. We tried a few items from the snack bar: the grilled cheese sandwich, a small personal pepperoni pizza, and cheese sticks. Everything was pretty good and reasonably priced. The bar happened to be closed, but the snack bar also serves alcoholic beverages. I tried a drink I'd never heard of before "Puck" -- it was decent, though a bit on the sweet side for my taste. Service was great all around -- Jenny at the counter and Kyleigh in the kitchen were both friendly and efficient. Even the bowling center clerks, CJ and Mike, were extremely personable as I looked around to see what the alley offered. No picture. Overall, a nice surprise -- clean, friendly, and worth checking out if you're already at the casino and wanna bowl or just hang out ! Be sure to check league times since they get pretty busy !

The food here is mostly burgers and hot dogs and fries and even fried chicken strips. The have soda and beer available. If you like a real drink, go to the bar next door. What got me was the prices! For a single 1/4 lb burger it just $6.99 including a whole mound of fries! Adding cheese is just a buck more and adding another 1/4 lb patty is just another buck ... so like a 1/2 pound Double cheeseburger with fries for just $8.99! Hell, yeah, bring it on! I got 5 orders of double cheese burgers with fries for me and my crew and drinks too. They have Modelo beer for just $3.50 a bottle! The menu is posted online, just scroll past the restaurant menu to the Snack Bar menu. We all enjoyed munching down on the burgers and fries. Those burgers are huge, about the diameter of a BK Whopper, but more filled with real meat! Lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles included. There's a ton of great fries with each order too! Can't beat that price at even fast food places. I wish we had a place like this where I live!

My wife ordered the turkey dinner and it was taco Tuesday so I had the tacos. The food was good but I hadn't expected the tacos to be like a real mexican restaurant. We are from california and have so many mexican food options. I was very surprised on how good the tacos were. My wife's Turkey dinner did not disappoint. My wife had me try it and it was excellent. The turkey dinner is real carved turkey and not some processed turkey. The taco plate was a little small for me but filling the turkey dinner plate however was more than big enough for my wife. We decided to gamble while we were there and had a few drinks. The drink attendants were on point. We could have easily gotten tanked we were looking to do that. They were quick to bring more drinks which for us was not something we were used to. When we would visit some of the bigger casinos in Lake Tahoe or Reno it would take forever to get a drink. We had a great time I played video poker and my wife played buffalo gold. I usually never win and I ended up hitting a royal flush on the progressive video poker game for 1200 which made my day. Their slot machines are a lot looser than other casinos. We play some table games at other casinos but we really didn't mind that they don't have table games at Bodines. The overall experience was 5 stars the waitress was great and the drink attendants were great also. I would definitely recommend this casino especially if you're getting gas or shopping at Costco in Carson city because it's literally right across the street.

Usually my friends cook a Thanksgiving turkey dinner thing, but this year I guess they were tired of cooking and cleaning, so we decided to just go out to dinner. There were buffet choices, like a $40 per person at the Fandango, but that seemed like more than we wanted to deal with. We saw that Bodine's located just a little ways away, had a Thanksgiving Day dinner special for just $16.99, including all the normal trimmings and dessert of pumpkin pie! We got there early, a little before the start time of 11 am for the Turkey dinner. Parking was easy in the underground lot and we got a nice booth seat, no prob. Glad we got there early as the place started to fill up right after 11am! We all got the Turkey dinner special as well as several glasses of wine. Wow, the house Merlot is just $3.00 a glass, I might as well have 3 at that price! The kitchen was a little backed up I think, cause the dinners didn't come out till 20 minutes after 11am. Ours was one of the first to be served, so it wasn't like our order was messed up or anything. The place was full and the food was flowing out of the kitchen. No salad was included, but no biggie. The platter of food had big slices of turkey, seasoned yams, veggies and mashed potatoes as well as cranberry sauce. Everything tasted very good, even the yams and I'm not usually a fan of yams! The only weak part was the veggies, just generic over steamed stuff. The turkey breast meat so sooo tender, just cut it with a fork! The pumpkin pie was served at the end. We all thought this was a great idea to come here for Thanksgiving and the price was sure right and NO cooking or cleaning! I've never been to this Bodine's restaurant, but now I'll come back!

We went to the restaurant inside the Gold Dust Casino in Carson City. There was a little wait to get the host to seat us. They were doing double duty as the cashier as well. The smoke in the restaurant is less than it is in the casino, as far as smaller casinos go, the smoke wasn't super bad. We got seated and drink orders taken. I see they have a prime rib special available 7 days a week for $16.99, not just on Friday's and Sat. like some other casino restaurants, plus, you don't have to wait till 4pm either, available at 11am seven days a week! I went with that, medium rare please. Someone else ordered the breakfast, "Little Star", basically a standard 2 egg with hashbrowns and toast and sausage for $7.99. One of the crew ordered the "Wrangler" burger, a double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings in the burger, served with fries. For appetizers, we got the onion rings and the loaded potato skins. The food all arrives and everything looks scrumptious. My Prime Rib was a decent size cooked as ordered, served with a baked potato. The appetizers were good, I actually like the loaded skins with the melty cheese and bacon. The onion rings were a smallish portion, but I guess it was just $4.99 so there's that. The Wrangler burger was quite a sight! He said the meat was real good and seemed like bigger than the two 1/4 pound patties on the menu. I'd come back here again, this is a new revamped menu from years ago.

I frequent many dining establishments across Fernley, Sparks, Reno, and most recently Carson City, and from our experiences, Gold Dust West stands out. The employees we've encountered consistently provide good to great customer service and genuinely understand the value of repeat customers and long-term business. They almost always have a wait during dinner hours; however, tables turn quickly and the kitchen keeps up with demand. We've never waited long for our food, which says a lot during peak times. I honestly wish this level of understanding and execution could be instilled in some other nearby cities here in Northern Nevada. Grateful shout-outs to Rebecca in Guest Services, Jelly our server, and Jason (J) the bartender at GDW Casino. And at The Grille at GDW Casino--thank you to Manager Bryant, whom I truly appreciate for taking the time to have a conversation, Host Ashley, and our great server Aquiles. Also, kudos to the chef and kitchen staff for consistently delivering good-quality food in a timely manner. Great service, great teamwork, and another enjoyable visit.
