My fiancé waved to her before she even acknowledged us. We sat at the bar for ten minutes waiting to order a drink. Maybe it's because they just opened but regardless sitting for that long while watching the employee be on the phone knowing we're there waiting was so disrespectful. After ten minutes we left and she was still on the phone and didn't even make an attempt to help us. Very disappointed, we had high hopes for this place. There isn't food available but there are several food places around. And the space in the bar is sparse. The tvs should be behind the bar, there could be a pony wall 8 seater table between the columns in the bar area, and where the tvs are they could have a projector and screen to have a giant tv of the (any) game. They'd have much more business if they marketed better and didn't open obviously too early. Or would be a great space for trivia nights too if they utilized it better. If you'd like help with web building and marketing let me know.

Excellent food. Me and my wife had the classic burger "medium" and it was bit overcooked to my liking g but still good. The fry's were amazing. I will be back for sure to try the pizza.

Today we got the following: Special - Pulled pork on a pretzel bun with fries. Two orders. Wow, it exceeded my expectations. Well, I honestly did not have high expectations. The pork was tender and flavorful; I did not even need the extra BBQ sauce that I asked for but used it to not waste it. And with a generous amount of fries; my buddy did not finish his fries. I also like the nice touch of a fried pickle on top of the slider. Fish and Chips - My other buddy that was craving BBQ switched to this and loved it. Chicken Breast Sandwich - My healthy buddy. He was also not able to finish his fries. All of which was good. And I plan to come back for Happy hour in the future. Especially Wing Wednesdays! Ambiance - Larger than expected. Larger than it looked from the outside. This place is like two units. I hope my pictures did it justice. Full bar, plenty of tables in both rooms. Pool tables, darts, etc. Semi open kitchen. Plenty of street parking. Open 6 days a week; closed Mondays. Service - Colgan (name on receipt) was so professional! Checked up on us very often. Even better, he was proactive and asked us if we wanted this or that with our orders. Price - $57 + generous tip. FYI - 4% credit card charge or 4% cash discount, see picture. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2014. We have actually been hanging out in this area for the last few years and now will be more frequent customers.

The restaurant is packed with…read moreold-time Americana and vintage artifacts, giving you something interesting to look at everywhere you turn. They also have an incredible beer selection with well over 100 beers on the menu, so there's something for everyone. A word of advice make reservations if you can. The wait was nearly an hour and it's easy to see why. We started with the fry bread and the jalapeño bombs. The fry bread was delicious, but those jalapeño bombs were an absolute 10/10 and a must-order. We originally came for the prime rib, but unfortunately they had already sold out around 6 p.m., which was definitely disappointing. Thankfully, the food that did make it to our table erased that disappointment pretty quickly. We ordered the two-meat BBQ plate with ribs and brisket, and both were cooked to perfection. The meat was tender, smoky, and paired perfectly with their delicious BBQ sauce. We also tried the spicy pot pie, which was unlike any pot pie I've had before, in a good way. It reminded me of an enchilada baked inside a buttery, flaky crust, and it was fantastic. The service was equally impressive. I feel terrible that I can't remember our server's name because he absolutely deserves the recognition. He was friendly, attentive, and made our entire experience even better. Between the amazing food, outstanding service, and unique atmosphere, this ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. In fact, it's probably the biggest reason I'd make the drive back to Carson City.

We had a 45 minute wait which I don't mind being that it was a Saturday night, but after being sat at our table it took more then 25 minutes for our server guy to come around and take our order for a soda and an Iced tea! As far as the food I think that we enjoyed your sample that was given at Taste of Downtown more than the almost $80 meal that my wife and I had that night! Wife had the Brisket sandwich which looking at the menu you'd think it would be 2-3 slices of brisket accommodating the bread and fixn's, Nope it it came out like pulled pork or canned beef jerky. I had the half chicken meal and I guarantee the the reason our meals were cold, was probably because the waiter was sitting at the table by the left rear wheel of the steam paver in the lobby instead of bringing our food out and we had to ask the server for the table behind us for a few boxes and our check! NEVER RETURNING id rather spend my time and money elsewhere! Mike

It's the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and finally I have so time off from my hectic job and the…read moreweather is good for traveling, so I'm up here in the Tahoe/Minden visiting my friends. Usually my friends cook a Thanksgiving turkey dinner thing, but this year I guess they were tired of cooking and cleaning, so we decided to just go out to dinner. There were buffet choices, like a $40 per person at the Fandango, but that seemed like more than we wanted to deal with. We saw that Bodine's located just a little ways away, had a Thanksgiving Day dinner special for just $16.99, including all the normal trimmings and dessert of pumpkin pie! We got there early, a little before the start time of 11 am for the Turkey dinner. Parking was easy in the underground lot and we got a nice booth seat, no prob. Glad we got there early as the place started to fill up right after 11am! We all got the Turkey dinner special as well as several glasses of wine. Wow, the house Merlot is just $3.00 a glass, I might as well have 3 at that price! The kitchen was a little backed up I think, cause the dinners didn't come out till 20 minutes after 11am. Ours was one of the first to be served, so it wasn't like our order was messed up or anything. The place was full and the food was flowing out of the kitchen. No salad was included, but no biggie. The platter of food had big slices of turkey, seasoned yams, veggies and mashed potatoes as well as cranberry sauce. Everything tasted very good, even the yams and I'm not usually a fan of yams! The only weak part was the veggies, just generic over steamed stuff. The turkey breast meat so sooo tender, just cut it with a fork! The pumpkin pie was served at the end. We all thought this was a great idea to come here for Thanksgiving and the price was sure right and NO cooking or cleaning! I've never been to this Bodine's restaurant, but now I'll come back!
