    Loaded Mac and Cheese
    Phillip J.

I got the food. It looks good. The service is ok nothing to complement or complain about. The ambiance is the same as any chicken spot. I got the loaded max and cheese with no spice sauce. I don't like it. Matter a fact imma toss this before i leave. The mac and cheese part is ok and it is a large portion but the chicken and the sauce isnt to my liking. I'll come back and try something else.

Tried it out with a family member, they did the "I've always driven by and wanted to try it" line. We got there around 9pm, staff was nice and the place was busy. It's an older building off the road, you can tell the AC is working overtime as it's hot during this time of year. I noticed it as I watch the condensation from the vents drip on the tables. We got two orders of the 4 tender meal with a drink for $33+, we didn't want to have bisquick bowels the next day so we went with MILD. Chicken took a bit to come out but I'm sure it's because there was 1-2 cooks and a line of people. The chicken was cooked really well and the spice was tingly and tasty. Even though it was MILD it still packed a punch! It came with a ranch and their angry sauce (ranch with spice), the chicken came with two large pickles slices. Overall it was really tasty and I enjoyed it. My only issue was the AC dripping on the table. Food is worth the price.

I tried Hangry Joe's the first time. (I don't get the name "hangry".) It's a fast food restaurant with ample seating arrangements. Also, it provides self service condiments and beverages.. I ordered a chicken sandwich combo for, after taxes, $13.20. This was not bad for the fore mentioned compliments. The quality of the chicken was great. The meat was real and delicious. I like the substance of the the two strips of chicken on a bun, but I would have rather had one oversized patty with the same quantity, than two strips. Strips make it harder to handle by hand. Besides, I don't see the need to serve chicken strips on a sandwich. With the quality of its chicken and fries, Hangry Joes should consider offering a whole chicken cutlet for its Jr. sandwich combo like its bigger chicken combo.

First time here but won't be my last! OMG! Let me tell you I will definitely be back because babay that medium spice is spicy! lol. Now I'm one that can handle that heat...but... it was like that for real! It was no joke so maybe I should have stated with mild...lol. I got the chicken sando jr because I don't eat much and didn't want to waste too much food. Also tried the brown sugar matcha boboa tea which was alright...but I wouldn't recommend it or try any other teas again. But the sandwich was really good. Next time I will add cheese to it to see how that will hit and order some fries as well. Apparently they are busy so I would make sure you order ahead because there is usually a wait. Medium spice chicken sando for the win!

My very first trip to a Hangry Joes! It did not disappoint! This is a gem hidden in the wild! I think everyone thinks like I did that everything is already hot! It is made to how you want it and it blows Raising Cane out of the water! I got the tender meal with Buffalo and medium spicy! The first bite was bursting with flavor then the second was even better! The heat hit a little and was just enough to spice it up but still enjoy the crispy chicken tender! The waffle fries are really good! I can not wait to go back this week! I stopped in at this one in Woodbridge and it is very clean and the staff are really friendly! The menu is massive! I definitely recommend eating here! If you like it not spicy you can get it that way and if you like it insanely hot you can sign a waiver and get it as well! The buffalo and medium spice is on point! I'm drooling as I wrote this!

Stopped in after being recommended this place and it did not disappoint! I got the #1 sando combo and choose mild for my spice level. This sandwich was deliciously perfect. It wasn't spicy at all to me, but the seasoning/breading was so tasty, it wasn't over breaded, but the breading packed the flavor. The sauce that comes on the sandwich pairs so well, to me it seemed a little sweet, but it was just too delicious when paired with the slaw. The combo came with the sandwich, fries, and drink. The food is cooked fresh to order, the cashier advised us it would take about 15 minutes to get the food since it's cooked on the spot. The cashier/server was super kind and since we told him it was our first time he said he wanted an honest review. 10/10 would recommend this place, I've tried many Nashville style chicken sandwiches but this was by far my favorite, surpasses the places back home!

Service was great. Food quality and size really great for the price. Spicy lovers beware..I LOVE spicy, but even the hot took me to my limits! I'd start with a mild or medium and work your way up! Flavor was still good even tho I was the whole time haha

This place has amazing chicken sandwiches! Probably my favorite in all of Woodbridge thus far. I got the mild Chicken Sando combo and, it was delicious! The chicken was so crispy yet coated in that delicious sauce which had the perfect amount of kick and flavor for me. The fries were so crispy even after driving home (carry out). The chicken patty is massive and sticks out of the bun. I think that's really unique! I cannot complain about the portion sizes because I had delicious leftovers! I recommend ordering ahead for carry out because I believe they make everything fresh which can take a little while. Currently there's lots of construction in the area so it's a bit easy to miss this place. But it's so worth stopping by.

This place is the closest I've had to authentic Nashville Hot Chicken. The spice was hot in the hot chicken, and the chicken was seasoned well. The fact that they have a waiver for the extra hot, I can see why. The service was fantastic, and the owners (husband and wife) made me feel like this could be a routine spot. I wasn't as much of a fan of the fries because they seemed to be breaded, but they were hot even when I came just 30 mins before closing. The place was clean, including the bathroom, so all in all, it was well worth it.

The food is good but the quality control needs to be improved. All pickle ends, one with the stem still attached as the pickles for my sandwich is kinda disappointing. The chicken was on the dry side too but the coleslaw and sauce on the side helped. With so many locations opening up, one in FXBG & one in Stafford soon, there are too many options for this location to let the quality falter. The interior is clean and spacious with plenty of seating. They don't play any music or anything that would hinder conversation. I had no interaction with the staff but my food was ready when the email said it would be.

To begin, this spot was recommended by a couple locals that work near the area. This spot is located next to a couple car dealerships and close to a plaza where most people seem to do their grocery shopping and so forth. At first we figure maybe they were exaggerating on the taste of the actual chicken sandwiches and tenders , but we were in for a surprise ! We ordered the chicken sandwich with the spice level of a medium since everyone recommended it and it came with some fries and a drink. This chicken was amazing and had great seasoning , sauce, and a burst of flavor the moment you crunch down on it. All the slides, ingredients l, sauces and everything just hits you at once. Honestly I find it to be different and one of the top places I have ever had a good chicken sandwich at. To top it off, it was in an area that I would've least expected to be around. Service was amazing and they were so quick with the orders. Helped out since we were starving the moment we walked in. Parking was fairly simple and they have a good amount of spaces for your vehicle , but I would to just be careful since they got some construction going on in the area for a bit, but who knows it may be clearing up sooner than we anticipate. Overall great spot, loved the vibes and music inside as well to keep you entertained while you eat your food. I feel like this is a place that I have to come back to if I ever Am in the Woodbridge area.

Ordered a medium spicy chicken sando with waffle fries. With fresh shredded lettuce and homemade sauce, the chicken sandwich was pretty good. The patty itself is not as meaty as it's competitors but you'll still have a satisfying bite! Waffle Fries are crispier than Chick FilAs if you likem that way. I got there at 6pm and was the only one ordering with no one in front or behind. Despite my simple order, it took an extraordinarily long time to receive it. Could mean everything is made fresh, or possibly inefficient in the back. Just something I noticed, didn't take away from the quality of the food though. Front service is super friendly and genuine, always a plus!

    Mike M.

I am a chili head and love chicken so had to give them a try. I'm glad I did. I ordered 2 sandwiches one hangry heat (the hottest they have) and one with no spice to taste the quality of the food. The chicken was hot and juicy in short the chicken was simply amazing everything I had hoped it would have been. Had to sign a waver for the hangry hot sandwich and again it was fresh hot juicy. Good amount of spice. The heat level was ok somewhere around 1.5 million scovilles which to me is not bad but be warned if your not experienced in extremely spicy food be careful the heat lingers for several minutes. In summary: Food is delicious Place is clean Staff are nice Heat levels are accurate Will definitely be going back and recommend this place to anyone who loves chicken and or spicy food! .

It sits right across the street from one of my top 5 favorite fried chicken shops, Nash & Smashed. They have some decent competition - That's what I thought before I stopped in. I am very thankful to the Crimson Coward chain for offering a $5 discounted meal for first-time visitors! I ordered the 4 piece tenders, in country style (no heat). My body seems to be that of a crybaby when it comes to handling spice. I ordered the food just after they opened, at 11:06, thru their online storefront (website). I arrived to pick up the food at around 11:20. They were just packaging it up to go out the door, and I was the only one in the restaurant. I'm sure if there was a line or quite a few more orders it would have taken longer. The food was packed in a small folding box (just like KFC style), but contained no napkins - so be sure to grab those before you go! The chicken was moist, tender, and juicy! The breading was thin, yet slightly crunchy. It seems that they make this perfectly! My compliments to the crew. It was done very well. The tenders were as big as my hands, and just as thick! They were quite large! I'm not sure I've ever seen tenders quite so big, that weren't 50+% breading alone. But no - these were genuinely large - They must have been the beast of a chicken yard. Tender. Juicy. Perfection. You get 4 slices of pickle with the meal, and for a pickle-lover like me that was great! They're not terrible high-class tasting, like a Claussen-brand pickle, and have a hint of bread-n-butter taste to them, but they're decent! But, the reason for the score being as it is, is because the flavor profile didn't fit to the fireworks sparkle that hit the chicken towards a home run. The seasoning landed a bit short, and flat. I was expecting a myriad of blended herbs and spices to match the exquisite look and tenderness of the chicken - but it never came. I couldn't tell you what herb or spice it was that felt so strongly, but there was one element in the spice package that dominated everything else, and just fills the nose and mouth with that one flavor over all else. It's not a bad taste by any means. It was quite enjoyable as-is, but it's nothing overtly special to write back home about. I wouldn't travel from far just to get this chicken. One other thing that bothered me was that they seemed to offer mac & cheese with other things mixed in but yet not the mac & cheese by itself on the side. Yet, you can get slaw, onions, pickles, and all these other condiments and flavors by themselves - just not mac & cheese alone. Sad! A terribly missed profit-maker for sure... If there's one thing people want with good fried chicken it's mac & cheese! I believe that's written in soul food lore somewhere... Lastly, the sauces that came with the food -- You can pick your own, and by default I went with the Crimson Sauce, and ranch. The ranch fell a bit flat. It's not an expensive or savory ranch; it's just a bottom of the barrel 2D ranch. No eccentric savory flavors, or myriad of tastes. There was clearly no buttermilk in it either, it just felt a bit sad. That's not to say it wasn't good, but it left me longing for a bit more. The Crimson sauce was good. It had a tiny bit of heat -- similar to something like your average green peppers, or mildly spicy fresh-made salsa would give off. Something your old-school no-spice white granny could order and eat with no complaining. The sauce was good and flavorful. Between the 4 tenders, 1 cup of ranch, and 1 cup of crimson sauce, I finished my meal just as the sauce cups were being wiped empty with the last bit of chicken meat. A refreshing and enjoyable experience, but nothing to drive out of your way for. I enjoyed the meal, and would come back - but I wouldn't go craving it once a week for the rest of my life. Good for a passing meal when you're sick of eating the same ol' Taco Bell, KFC, Chipotle, or McDonald's meals, and want to change it up a bit.

Limited Pepsi products and a couple of juices in their fountain machine. They also had some basic flavored milkshakes. Lots of tables for 2 people and only 1 table that sits four. The portions are more than generous in fact my only regret was not ordering a kids meal for myself.

The only reason I subtracted a star was the bathroom cleanliness. I walked in and walked out. It was pretty bad and I don't think the bathrooms are kept up to standard during the day. In the women's bathroom there are only two stalls and they were both disgusting. I would definitely go back to try out a few more items and when I do I will update my review about the bathroom situation. However, there are hand washing stations outside of the bathrooms so at least you don't need to enter to wash your hands.

The jajangmyun and soondubu are both dependable standbys, though you'll pay a couple bucks more here than you would at Hmart for the privilege. Where things get spicy (not the good kind) is when you start comparing prices to actual sit-down Korean restaurants: $19 for kimchi pajeon and $31 for LA galbi is the kind of pricing that makes you double-check you're still in a food court and not an actual BBQ joint with table service and a grill built into your table. That said -- the owners are genuinely friendly, service is fast, and portions come stacked with the right supporting cast: miso soup, pickled veggies, kimchi, all present and accounted for. No corner-cutting on the banchan front. Is it the cheapest Korean food in Northern Virginia? No. Is it convenient if you're already at Global Foods and craving Korean comfort food? Absolutely. There's not much else competing for this niche in the area, so it fills a real gap -- just go in knowing you're paying food-court-plus-tax-and-then-some prices for some items. Pro tip: they're closed Tuesdays, so don't make the pilgrimage only to stare at a locked gate.
