Very casual dining with lots of parking but it does get busy during warm days. Bulgogi fries were fire but the chicken we ordered wasn't the best I've ever had. Chicken either was cooked in too high of temp to get the crispy skin or else it was older chicken as it was very tough. Flavours were nice for the soy garlic which is darker than I'm used to but it wasn't what I was expecting good/bad???. Also had the new original crunch which I think I preferred. Service was fast and friendly. But the place could use some good cleaning as the seats were dirty and table was super sticky... BIG KUDOS TO OUR SERVER, working the whole front floor by herself!!! I have been coming here for years! Came here last night with my sister for dinner. We walked in and noticed how there was only one person working the front. She was serving all the tables in the restaurant, helping the guest that at the counter with ordering and pick ups, answering the phones and taking orders, curbside, running food, etc. She did it ALL! I felt horrible with guest coming in non-stop and phone that just kept ringing. Absolutely so much kudos for doing what she did, doing it with a smile and positive attitude. A guest walked in all angrily, demanding why no one is answering the phone, when clearly seeing her running around by herself. Truly shame on him!!!! She handled it so well apologizing and telling him she was going to take care of him immediately and that she is working by herself in the front. My SO and I were craving wings, and we went in when we were hungry!... let's just say our stomachs did the ordering lol For two people we ordered a half and half large order of wings (24 pcs), seasoned fries, and kimchi bacon fried rice. Everything was really good but we maybe finished a quarter of each thing. Everything came out hot, steaming, and fresh. Beware, if you can't tolerate a lot of heat then you're better off eating just soy garlic. I would definitely recommend getting the bacon kimchi fried rice; it pairs well with the wings. Now, they only give out one side :( My family and I always get the soy garlic chicken and the spicy chicken. Both are extremely flavorful. You need a pretty decent spice tolerance for the spicy flavor, because it gets my nose runny sometimes haha and I love spicy food!!!! Service is pretty good, but my family typically takes out. It's been so long since I've been to this place but I have never seen this much change. Unfortunately, I am not coming back. It was such an odd experience after not being there for so long. It was Sunday after the lunch hour. Sunday football game was on so they had nonstop takeout orders over the phone and walk-in. Few things that I noticed. One of them was their interior design changed. It was brighter and warmer than before. They have REALLY limited seating. I was at one of the 4 tables that were available. One staff at the bar was taking care of serving food and drinks at the hall, and another staff at the register was acting as a host at the same time taking care of placing takeout orders and completing the takeout packaging. I understand that due to their limited space, the manager should also minimize their staffing. However, it was not due to understaffing The server was just not attentive. I had to wait for a long time to get refills on my beverages. I watched The quality of food was not so great as it used to be. I was waiting to get my check but while I was waiting I was able to observe how the server was not paying attention to the tables. The food quality is not as good as it used to be. I don't really know what is it but the meat is dry, and fries..... man... $4.50? I shook my head when I saw them. The overall experience was disappointing :( read more

Loved the spicy garlic above the regular soy garlic, didn't try the sweet crunch but will next time! Double fried and delicious. They also have a cooler full of interesting and different canned alcoholic beverages for purchase if you'd like. For those of you who do not know or have tasted the bonchon, its fantastic crispy wings that are very different from the American variety of fried chicken. The outer skin isn't dripping in some sauce or super breaded but instead it's thin and crispy. You can choose among an assortment of flavors. When they say its a hot wing, they're not kidding so don't take it lightly. The soy garlic is my go-to. Tbh the only way to explain this phenomena is to go here yourself. The drumsticks take longer to cook than the wings so I highly recommend just getting the wings. They cook faster and have a better skin to meat ratio. I love Bonchon, but since it's a franchise, consistency can sometimes be iffy. I was hungry after a skydiving trip in Warrenton (review coming!) and Google Maps showed this location of Bonchon right on my route home. Parking is easy since it's in a strip mall. It looks like one of the older Bonchons, but it was still very clean and inviting. I sat at the bar. When I asked for a drink list, I was informed one didn't exist but they had a full bar and could make whatever. I ordered a cider; all they had was this dark cherry cider; I was apprehensive but it was actually really good. Onto the food. I went with my usual meal: small order of wings, all spicy, with coleslaw and steamed rice. The wings were on point and on par with any good Bonchon I've visited. The rice was kind of mushy and overly wet - this was not a pleasant surprise, I barely ate any of it. The coleslaw was pretty good. Overall, a solid location of an awesome franchise. Compared to American fried chicken..the Korean style has a much thicker and crispier skin and has a sweet salty glaze to it (if you get the soy garlic). When you place your order here for the chicken, you can expect to wait 30-45 minutes as they do cook to order. It comes out fresh and burning hot. A large order is $20 and is enough for 2 people as the pieces of chicken, especially the drumsticks, are huge. When it comes to the chicken my favorite is the soy garlic. You can also do half and half to try out the hot style. Fair warning though...the spice level is high up there even for those who enjoy spicy food. However, you do get side orders of cole slaw and radish which can help dissipate the heat. I ordered (take out) a large box of chicken and asked for extra moo (radish) and apparently, they are now charging $2 for extra. It comes with 1 container and extra (2nd) is free, but the next container (3rd) is $2. First, I really hate when restaurants start charging for things that were once free (free since it opened several years ago, I might add)-- I think it says a lot about a restaurant when they start nickel and dime-ing things (LIKE MOO) AFTER they are successful and open a 2nd and 3rd location. Secondly, I think that a large order of chicken wings should come with 3 free moo because that is the spicy chicken to moo ratio that makes sense. Ok, anyway, This place is my 3rd favorite KFC (korean fried chicken) restaurant. I actually think that both the spicy and soy-garlic seasoning is slightly jja (salty), just for my liking (which may explain the need for extra radish). Restaurant service is most decent (but not great) compared to other korean fried chicken restaurants- it might be because the staff or management is more Americanized. I am now a fan! I first tried Bon Chon in NY and left a bit dissatisfied. The portions were on the smaller side and the prices were steep. The Annandale location, which is now closed had horrible service. This location has been great so far. I have come to the conclusion that I should place my order To Go and get their Large Combination Wings. The employees taking my order are great. They are friendly and quick. I call 30 mins ahead and by the time I arrive, our order is ready. It's great to surprise friends and family with Bon Chon Chicken. Their chicken is very addicting. So lightly crisp on the outside and juicy within. Their Spicy has a kick but for some reason you keep wanting more. If you're not into a lot of spice, the Soy Garlic is where it's at. It is my favorite sauce and madd good. Each chicken order comes with one complimentary side: Coleslaw, Kimchi Coleslaw, White Rice, or Brown Rice. Came here around 12:30 on a Sunday. The place is clean and trendy not too bright and it has nice size TVs. We were greeted and assisted immediately. Wasn't really busy or crowded in here. Our server was very nice and friendly. The food came and didn't take long. From the outside, this place doesn't look like much and neither does the inside, but they sure know what they are doing when it comes to their food. This Bon Chon has super friendly staff and is almost as good as the Fairfax location. It is located in a strip mall in Centreville right off of 29 with ample parking and is pretty easy to find. The restaurant is on the small side, there is a 5 seat bar and a few chairs in front of the cash register where you can wait for a table or your to-go order. Since we had to wait for a 6 top to open up, we placed our order prior to sitting down. When our server came to greet us she went over our order with us and got drinks and aps. Since we ordered in advance, it cut our wait time about in half--which was nice. I did notice that a couple of our drumsticks were a little more dried out that I would expect and slightly less sauced, but the flavor was still good and most of our order was perfectly juicy and tender! I'm not a huge fan of their fries, even the seasoned ones are pretty boring without the special spicy mayo; like they aren't salted at all. But, the dumplings and kimchee coleslaw are fantastic!
