Hiring Peach Home Service was supposed to be one small step in maintaining her new home. I don't think she ever imagined that a routine service appointment would turn into months of stress and frustration. What happened afterward was incredibly upsetting. There were concerns surrounding the service, damage to brand-new furniture, and then a long process of trying to get the situation addressed. I watched my daughter spend hours going through emails, photographs, receipts, paperwork, and everything else she could gather because she wanted to be able to clearly explain what had happened. As a mother, it is difficult to watch your child feel like they have to fight so hard just to be heard. She was not looking for some unreasonable outcome. She wanted her concerns acknowledged and wanted the damage that occurred in her new home to be taken seriously. What made this especially upsetting was that this happened during such an exciting time in her life. Instead of being able to fully enjoy being a new homeowner, she had this hanging over her. I watched something that should have been minor become a source of genuine anxiety and frustration. I am thankful that the situation has finally been resolved, but I hope the company reflects on how this was handled. Customers remember how a business treats them when everything goes well, but they especially remember how they are treated when something goes wrong. I would have hoped for much more understanding and compassion throughout this experience.
