It is a bit more expensive but we all know it cost a little more to put wholesome foods into our bodies. In the end it is better for us. I love the different types of flour one can get. Next time I wanted to get wholesome/ organic flour to make artisan bread I will definitely get enough to bake rather than buying a 5 lbs bag in the supermarket that goes to waste because of expiration dates. His name is William and he is obnoxiously loud. He will comment LoUDLY on many items he scans or bags. This past morning shopping on September 5 he was bagging. He loudly commented about some baked beans. This kid NEVER stopped loudly critiquing on our groceries. At one point he LOUDLY commented on our purchase of four single serve ice cream cups. "That's a lot of ice cream! Did you leave any?!" Really?! Four 6 ounce cups does not warrant such an over the top reaction for all customers in our line and the next register to hear. We had him as a cashier twice and decided to shop elsewhere for several weeks. Then we came back and he has only become worse. Saturday morning shopping was always a peaceful and pleasant experience at Shaw's until William arrived.

Now they keep track. I tracked down a manager named Nick whom I relayed my complaint to . Told him how rude the cashier was to my wife and that it was poor customer service to be treated that way after spending almost 500.00 He did not give a rats ass. Never apologized. We told him that we will never be back to that store. We primarily do our shopping at Sam's Club where the associates treat you with respect and dignity and say thank you for shopping there.

It has the same odd lack of variety (no decaf Starbucks coffee, hardly any sugar-free foods like jam, etc.). I get it; they have to stock what sells more. But we do save money on the limited number of teams we buy there, and the reduced fuel price alone can nearly pay for the annual membership. We did have to wait to fill up; the pumps seemed busier than the store registers were.
