    Roast beef and harvest soup

I like a good soup-and-sandwich, and Hannah's didn't disappoint on that front. The sandwich was definitely on the small side for the price, but the soup was a decent-sized portion, and the meat (sliced to order) and other ingredients were of good quality. I went with the whole-grain bun (which has an odd name I can't recall) instead of the pretzel bun, but will probably do differently next time.

    Cauliflower soup and angry tofu

I did enjoy the food, just note that the portions are very small for the price. I tried the You pick 2: Cauliflower soup and the special "angry tofu" sandwich on a pretzel bun. They were both tasty with the tofu roll being something I would order again. It was topped with pickled onions, tomato and avocado - very interesting pairings that worked well together. I like the soup options but wish there were more salad choices. The ingredients seem to be very fresh and the pretzels are super yummy. However for small portions at $10+, it won't be a weekly lunch spot.

All the organic, free range goodness you can ask for. I have the wecken Chicken and Avocado sandwich typically. It's amazing and actually very filling despite being the smaller of the two sandwich bread options -- a most delicious pretzel roll either in the form of a wecken (small round roll) or a baguette. They have tons of sandwich options as far as ingredients go. All look tasty. Chocolate bars from all over the world line the assembly line of very courteous and efficient sandwich makers. Love this location as it is larger than the one on Washington, lots of room for seating.

This is the sandwich I paid 11.80 for. From a value standpoint, it's a bit short. Didn't taste great either.

Slightly cheeky review as I didn't actually order and eat any hot food / sandwiches BUT I did buy their snacks (biscuits) and have a good nose around. Clean, bright, colourful and welcoming is how I'd describe it, with an exceptional range of chocolate and biscuits. I'll come back and eat 'properly' before I live Chicago based on my snack purchase today (when I say snack, I mean biscuits of the gods - choco liebniz)

    Salmon sandwich with chips! Delicious!

Oh boy is this place great. I have tried three different sandwiches, the salmon, prosciutto, and the bresaola. All served an a delicious, freshly baked pretzel bun. All the meat is freshly sliced and all the ingredients are carefully placed on the sandwich. It's not your ordinary sandwich place that just slaps on your deli meat. They have thoughtfully planned out all the portions and it really shines through their food. An added bonus is almost all their ingredients are organic. A filling sandwich and a bag of chips will cost you around 11 or 12 dollars. For me, this price is worth it for the quality of ingredients. I've also tried their apple bread and so moist and delicious. It's not overly sweet nor does it have an overpowering apple flavor. Just perfect. Try this place out, you won't be disappointed.

I am sorry but a cup of soup and a tiny sandwich with no drink should not cost 17$. This is way to much money for these tiny portions.

Al's Classic Hand-Cut Fries: They were piping hot when I received them, so touching! Super friendly lady at the cashier (all smiles, patient, and offered menu help)! Also fast service (got my order within a few minutes). I visited on a Saturday late afternoon and it was very chill here (also shoutout to the early 2000's era music playing :p it was a vibe). Overall I'd say it's not a bad food spot at all if you want a quick bite and want to be a little away from the Magnificent Mile crowds.

We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon, and were seated immediately and a two-top. The wait staff was attentive and checked on us the entire meal. The interior was subdued and basic. We ordered a pizza some pasta, and calamari. Everything tasted great. Not at any point was the food greasy or heavy. The calimari was crispy on the outside. The pizza was crispy all throughout. The pasta was perfectly al dente. Overall, a great experience and a good representation of what Chicago has to offer.

It definitely feeds at least a party of 4, but there were only two of us so we took the rest to go. It's seasoned well and had a nice, satisfying crunch in every bite. For the star of the meal we had the tavern style carbonara pizza. Absolute cinema. We added hot honey on top (though it was $3 for about a 2oz bottle) and the flavors all came together perfectly!! I didn't think we'd be finishing it but I was dead wrong. Since they are tavern cut they went down fast like chips, but needless to say I ate 3/4 of it and enjoyed every bite. Service: The host was amazing, we arrived about 15 minutes early but they were glad to seat us and we appreciated that. Ambiance: It was a little cold in there where we were sitting, so it made our food (as well as ourselves) get cold a little quickly, but like I said it was still good regardless. The AC was blowing directly at our table so maybe bring a jacket. Overall great restaurant, I would come back again to try the other pizzas and items!

Great lunch/breakfast spot with fast service and simple/fresh sandwiches…read more The oven roasted turkey sandwich was great, tasted like something my grandma would make me (in a good way). Will be back.

I really want to like them so much more than I do. If there were a continuum from hipster deli…read more(think Mile End) to traditional deli (Manny's, 2nd Avenue, etc) Schneider would on the hipster side of center. Two of us shared a half pound pastrami on rye with a side of hash browns. The rye was pretty decent but the pastrami was sliced far too thick and the meat was lean. That is not a good thing when it comes to pastrami and I attribute the lean meat to the deli catering to its hipster-ish audience. Although the flavor was decent, the sandwich was dry and difficult to eat. We disagreed on the generously sized pickle. One of us thought the flavor was just right, the other not so much. We both agreed on the hash browns. It's a no-go. They were well fried but entirely unseasoned. I understand the lack of schmaltz but there was no onion or salt or anything else. Waffle House has nothing to worry about. (IYKYK) Service was fast and polite. The space is tiny, but it works. Prices are okay for this area but if you want traditional deli in Chicago, go to Manny's.
