However I found that the portion sizes for the chicken and the rice was on the lighter side. I got the make my own bowl with falafel and since this was my first time ordering here I wanted to try as many of the toppings as possible. I got the fresh beets, curried carrot salad, dill cucumber and black lentils as well as crispy chickpeas, pita crunchies, and roasted golden tomatoes. I would definitely get extra crispy chickpeas next time and maybe skip the roasted tomatoes. I also add pickled onions and feta and olives for extra tanginess. The bowl was overall very flavorful and didn't even need the extra sauces but it lets you pick 3 sauces on Uber eats so I picked the Amba (yummy savory mango sauce), roasted read pepper (also delicious!!) and dill yogurt as I thought I could dip the falafel in the sauces. But unfortunately when my order arrived from Uber eats there was no falafel in my falafel bowl! Lol. Still delicious just disappointing that I didn't get to taste the falafels! It did come with a pita on the side so I was able to dip the pita in the various sauces to try those. Overall would give 3 stars since no falafel but I'm sure just was forgotten and 5 stars for taste and freshness so averaged to 4! Your food is made right in front of you and there are plenty of protein options to chose from, vegan included. The food here is always fresh and the options are plenty. I came to this location on a day when my friends and I were treated to some new menu items as part of their Exploration Kitchen event. The staff were all really friendly and we even got a chance to meet the CEO! I've always been a fan of Roti but going through this experience really cemented my appreciation for a company that goes above and beyond to bring diners a quality experience. We were treated to their spicy steak laffa as well as their new hummus bowl with chicken, corn, and kale. The laffa was filled with a variety of healthy grains, feta cheese, tomato and cucumbers along with their grass fed beef. While the title says spicy, I didn't feel too much heat which worked for me! The hummus bowl was a bit lighter but just as filling. With a generous portion of their creamy hummus, it was perfectly complimented by their delicious chicken, kale, and sweet corn kernels. The dish was elevated and brightened with the addition of the green s'hug sauce which I want to put on everything! I must say both were very hearty meals, yet were made with such wholesome and healthy ingredients that I felt ZERO guilt. I would come back again and again for a healthy lunch along with their delicious blackberry and ginger iced tea. First time trying Roti and it was decent. I opted for the falafel pita sandwich. The sandwich seems small at first but it was really filling. Besides falafel, Roti offers a variety of protein options including chicken kabob, steak, and salmon kabob. As for toppings, I chose hummus, red cabbage slaw (really good!), feta cheese, and tomato & cucumber. You can also ask for any toppings to be on the side in case you don't want them directly in your sandwich. I finished off my sandwich with the garlic sauce. Roti has sooooo many sauce options I wasn't sure which to choose. The garlic sauce was good. I recommend asking for a couple of different sauces on the side so you can try multiple. read more

I'm torn giving 3 stars to this place because Roti's food was the highlight of my Chicago trip, not exaggerating! The quality and quantity of food at the price was amazing! However, even though the food was 5 stars, the service was not even worth 1 star so 3 star seems fair, I guess. I placed the order here online after the lunch rush on a weekday, around 2 pm and was given the wait time of 12 min. (pro tip: download the app and for first time customers, you get $5 off!) I decided to walk to the location from my hotel which took around 15 min and on reaching the restaurant I checked the pre-made food section for my bowl. It wasnt there so I went to the counter and they said they would make my order now, in person, while I was there. It felt weird that what was the whole point of placing the order online and paying then but I was hungry so I repeated my selection again, when at last we reached the protein section and they said that they were out of lamb meatballs and I would have to wait for 15 min to get them. The server said that they can substitute chicken instead and I said no. Now, firstly lamb option as a protein is pricier than the chicken so it wasnt a fair substitution and secondly, since I had already placed and paid for the order online more than 15 min earlier, why couldnt they have had the meatballs ready. I told them I would wait and they told me that they would inform me once the meatballs were ready. I spent the next 20 min browsing my phone and street watching and getting increasingly hungry. After another few min I decided to check if the meatballs were ready or not so I went to the counter. There were different servers who told me that the meatballs were ready 10 min ago! I was pissed that the previous server didnt inform me or bring my food despite me being one of the two customers at the store. Since the current server was a different one, I had to show proof of my payments and order again to them, repeat my whole order again to get a new bowl of food made for me (not sure what happened to the first bowl of food which was made and kept aside waiting for meatballs). I wasnt offered any apology or comp for not having the food available 45+ min after placing the initial order. Since I was starving I decided to not argue and eat the food first. Coming to the food, it was really amazing! Maybe it was because I was really hungry but this was one of the best Mediterranean fusion food I had had. There were so many fresh and incredible tasting ingredients and the bowl looked colorful and was a feast for the eyes as well. This is a chain food store so I'm assuming the quality of food is similar at other locations as well. I would recommend to try out other locations but skip this due to spotty service. read more

I wanted a salad and Roti was conveniently right up the street so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the rice bowl with all the trimmings. While I was pleased at all of the colorful trimmings and ready to be wowed by the flavor I was a little disappointed. I could hardly taste the food due to the fact everything was so charred and over cooked. The chicken was burnt to a crisp and had no flavor whatsoever and the broccoli was so burnt that it took for me to add all 3 sauces at once just to try and drown at the flavor. I wound up ordering something else because the restaurant had already closed and it was too late for me to go back. They also forgot to add my pita bread. I'm a fan of Roti's food - I've eaten just about everything on their menu at this point. Every other location I've been to has been a fast, reliable, and tasty lunch spot. My review is not an indictment of the brand or chain. But this west loop location has now run out of rice two weeks in a row, on August 22nd and August 30th, at the peak of the lunch rush. Now I get it, stuff happens. But respect your customers and give them a heads up. When there was a line out the door that my colleague and I waited in for ~15 minutes before we learned about the rice situation, I suggested to the employee I tried to order from that they put up a sign warning customers about the situation before they got in line. They said it was a good suggestion and they'd talk to the manager about it. Clearly they didn't as I just had the same experience! Same 15 minute wait to be told they were out of rice. No sign but just as much enthusiasm from the employee about it being a good idea. But why would I go back? Why waste my time? Avoid this location of Roti and find a more reliable fast casual spot in the west loop. They're popping up left and right. read more

Came in 12/10/18 at 7:50 pm.. There were only 2 customers, 1 being a cop..so i was getting food for me and my wife, i was on the phone getting order wasn't greeted by anyone. Burned the broccoli and so i waited for her to collect her self, finally she came and had the worst interaction with me, i pointed at the fresh veggies, so she went for something else and i said no the one infront of it.. So she said you know the names are right there, in the nastiest attitude, so i reacted like any human would, we ended up yelling at each other.. She obviously didnt care but at the end i asked a manager " her name is latisha, funny part is that another customer came in.. He was greeted with royalty.. Wow! I visited this restaurant at the same time the new CEO happened to be in-line picking up his dinner. Justin Seamonds was one of kindest and most helpful guys I've ever met. I must have had a puzzled look on my face as I was trying to figure out what to order, he went through the menu with me and even offered samples! I ordered "flip the bird" with riced cauliflower and a side of hummus. IT WAS DELICIOUS!! Tasted so fresh with beautifully seasoned quality ingredients. Today I had a great experience with a young man (don't know his name) who provided exceptional customer service. He took the extra time to get a fresh bag of Kale/spinach for my salad (at my request). Usually, they'll give me the old wilted salad at the bottom of the bin.
