After 25 years, multiple national water treatment companies and literally thousands of dollars…read moreaddressing our well water problems, we called Claverack pump. They were professional and very knowledgeable during the initial visit to evaluate our problems and existing various tanks, pumps, softeners, etc. I also called a competitor as good practice for comparison quote. Claverack followed up with a quote that was not only less expensive but also much more complete with product data, water analysis and pricing with the scope of work to be provided. I immediately signed up and took the day off to be at the house when they arrived. Bob and Adam were great to work with as they removed all old equipment (5 tanks, chlorinator and softener) and replaced with 1 air injection unit to remove the sulphur. We learned from their water analysis that the other units were not required for our water although being sold those products previously - requiring chlorine and salt on a regular basis. Removing all the old equipment regaining valuable space in our boiler room and eliminated the need to lug bags of salt and chlorine buckets - not to mention saving this ongoing cost. After putting the units into service, the guys walked us through the program and explained with the air system we have little or no maintenance. I noted that I would call them for a yearly inspection although we were shown the unit will notify us of that when due, Our water is finally what is should have been all along - no sulphur, spurting faucets, and constant need for chemicals and salt. We could not be happier with the transformation - our only regret is that we didn't "shop locally" sooner. I got a confirmation email that stated they would be in touch. Of course, my credit card was charged immediately. After hearing nothing for over a week, I emailed them asking about the status of my order. They said they would check on it. By June 2nd I had still not heard back, so I emailed again demanding a tracking number. They responded by asking me to call them. Kelly indicated that he may not be able to get the filters, and that he thought the web page I ordered from had been removed. I received an email on June 10th, stating I was getting a refund in 3-5 days. I finally had to call back on June 19, as I had not received a refund. Kelly then cussed as me, and blamed me for ordering from a web page that wasn't supposed to me there, then hung up on me. There's a reason this is a mom and pop shop, and based on my experience they won't be in business long.

Was very pleasant, oral estimate was 3 - 5000 for floor,replace toilet and sink. Waited a week for the written estimate and left phone message. Waited another week and left another phone message. Called the next day again and reached the estimator who said he was all backed up and wouldn't be able to do it. Does not sound as if this is the reason they cannot do it,since I recently received more advertising from them. If the job is too small,they should state so up front instead of wasting everyone's time.

Monday Gas Hot…read moreWater Heater broke. Tank was leaking from bottom. It was 10 years old which is typical expectancy I learned. Front of tank had label from All Star, the company that installed it. 9:00 am I called and was told the company was now part of Reimer. A technician would come to assess tank. He would call first to arrange a time. 11:30 am Tech arrived and introduced himself. Nicholas said tank needed to be replaced. He presented options. We decided to replace it with same model. Nicholas said he would be back to install it this afternoon. 2:30-4:15 pm Nicholas returns and installs new unit. Wow! So pleased to have new rank installed on same day! The company prides itself on meeting customer needs and service. And they deliver! Excellent communications from Reimer staff throughout the day. Invoices which itemized work to be completed etc. were emailed before installation. Nicholas who did installation was excellent at explaining the initial problem, the options for replacement available, and progress during installation. He was courteous, experienced, knowledgeable, and an asset to the company. Based on our experience today, we highly recommend Reimer. Plus: There was no surcharge for using a credit card.
