I requested my noodles with a mild spice, and even that had quite a kick. The noodles were excellent. They had that great bouncy, chewy texture and were certainly the highlight of my meal. I just wish the dishes were less wet. The burger was DRIPPING with oil and was very messy to eat. I also requested the noodles to be "dry," but even the dry version was very, very oily. Still, the food was tasty. The restaurant has a very casual vibe. You order via a kiosk at the counter, and they bring the food out to you on paper plates. First time at Xi'an gourmet house. The decor is very basic so not ambient but super casual. All of the items are served in to go plates so all you'll need is the plastic lids. Cucumber salad had a nice balanced heat and was a heaping amount. Slightly too much oil in the marinade weighed it down. Pork dumplings were boiled so there was not a fried option. A huge portion and even taste. The dipping sauce was too spicy for our party so we switched to soy sauce instead. Would recommend the edamame because they give you a large portion making this worth it. Beef noodle soup with extra beef (accidentally ordered by our party). Large chunks of beef that wasn't dried out and well seasoned. The star was the flat noodles which had a wholesome taste and good amount of chewiness that hits the palate well. The sour and hot lamb dumpling soup was just okay. Again, big portion but seasoning was a little lacking. Had a good portion of glass noodles and bean sprouts. The sauce again was a little too much on the oily side so I don't think I'd order this again. The customer service was also not very personable. I didn't like the ordering on their screen. It made it a little confusing adding items and turned into us ordering more than we wanted, each time with a surcharge. Tipping is optional. The only reason I give it a 4 star instead of 5 isn't due to the food or quality. It's due mostly to the fact that, because they are so busy, I've had an order cancelled on me via Uber Eats before, and they forgot napkins and chopsticks/utensils in my to go. they no longer let you order dine in unless there is a table available. This makes perfect sense but it suck's because it's quite a small place. So if you plan to go with a large group make sure you're prepared to wait! I continue to come here though because, how can you not? I've tried the hot and sour soup, the beef noodle, and mount qi in soup and all have been superb. I like how the mild spiciness is consistent every time - just enough to make my mouth tingle, but not sting. This place is my go to for when I'm feeling gloomy or sick. As a huge fan of the Duluth Jusgo food court location, I loved that a second location opened up in Atlanta, perfect for whenever I'm craving something actually authentic in the city. And now they're Michelin recommended?? Finally a restaurant on the list that actually has Tiff H.-approved good food! Parking is free at the deck in the same building. "Pay" after scanning the QR code at the deck and use the provided validated code for 1 free hour, which should be about enough time - and don't bother trying to memorize the code for future use, I believe they change it often. When it gets super busy at peak time, it can be a full one hour meal. Order at the kiosk but be sure to mention to someone at the counter that you are planning on dining in before doing so if it's busy. They could definitely use a more efficient format of seating with such limited tables but they try their best to be fair on a first come first serve basis and are transparent with their wait times. My favorites are the spicy cumin lamb noodles and the spicy cumin lamb burger (see a pattern here?) I've tried the cucumbers and scallion pancake, which are a-ok, but not as stand out as their spicy cumin lamb! Their hand pulled noodles are perfectly chewy - if you know the term "qq", that's exactly what they are but #iykyk! The noodle soup is also a-ok, but even better in cold/rainy weather. I also recently tried the shredded pork & pickled mustard noodles and they remind me of a home cooked Asian meal, but not as flavorful as the cumin lamb noodles. Amazing noodles and very polite staff! Came to this great little restaurant at the recommendation of a local Atlanta resident, and was not disappointed! The noodles are very tasty and seem homemade, the soup base is rich and delicious and the menu offers vegetarian options, which is always a plus for me! The disposable plate was a little flimsy and didn't feel like the best way to serve the noodles. I've had the lamb noodles at their other locations, and unfortunately, these seemed a little different from what I remember. The lamb used to be cut thinner, which made each bite more enjoyable. Ordered at the counter but they cleaned up our table after. Scallion Pancakes are really good, although Pancake sounds misleading, it's more like Borek. The dumplings and the hand pulled noodles were really good. But both the beef and the lamb noodles were spicy! Would not recommend it for anyone with medium-low spice tolerance. The noodles themselves were perfect--thick enough to hold the sauce but so tender that they practically melted when you chewed. I usually don't like thick noodles, but these completely changed my mind; clearly, they know how to make them right. The beef was also excellent, with beef that fell apart in your mouth, but we both agreed the lamb dish really stood out as something special. We ordered both without soup this time, but next time we'll definitely consider trying it with soup. Service was wonderful, the cashier actually recommended these dishes to us and we are glad they did. Everyone was super nice, and the food came out in about 10 minutes, though the place wasn't too busy. I wish I took more photos of the food from this restaurant. I have been here so many times (I lost count) in the span of a few months after first having it introduced to me by another friend. My go to is the beef noodle soup version of the beef dry noodle (I know.. kinda confusing, I was confused when I first ordered too). It's absolutely delicious, there is sooo much flavor and there's a scaling spice level, I recommend getting medium spicy just so you know where it's at, you can ask for more spicy oil on the side if needed. You can also get additional toppings to your bowl and additional meat (extra charge of course!). It's really worth it, I sometimes would eat all the noodles and meat and save the broth to make ramen at home! I ordered their vegetable soup noodles, shrimp dumplings, and cucumber salad, and I was super impressed by every single item, including the portion sizes -- that was plenty of food for two people / meals and cost under $30 (including the delivery fees but not tip)! The noodles were phenomenal -- they were super wide, thick, and chewy, and they were the perfect vessel for the flavor-packed soup. I was honestly surprised by how flavorful the soup was, as I've found many Chinese restaurants struggle with vegetarian options (or maybe that's just my parents...), but the broth had a great balance of umami and spicy, and the soup was loaded up with chunks of soft tofu and a variety of veggies. I also loved their shrimp dumplings! The skin was a touch thicker than I expected, but the filling was juicy and tender, and had a bit of the shrimp's natural sweetness. The dumplings were especially tasty when dipped into the veggie broth or spicy dressing for the cucumber salad. The cucumbers were super crispy and fresh, and the dressing was a great balance of salty, savory, acidic, sweet, and spicy (both the traditional hot spicy and a sprinkling of numbing spicy).
