I have been to the Fullerton location many times, and this new location was no different in terms of taste, quality, and service. My boyfriend and I came in on a Saturday around 5:30pm, right before closing at 6pm. The workers were very friendly and quick to help us out. They did not rush us in anyway even though they were closing in 30 minutes. They explained that this location had less variety compared to the Fullerton one, but there were still plenty to choose from! We decided to split a Strawberry Cheesecake cupcake. The frosting was a bit sweeter compared to the other flavors I've had in the past. It was still fine to pair with the cake itself. The cake part was deliciously moist and soft, as greatly expected of Hapa. Not too sweet, pairing well with the frosting. This location was a great addition to those not wanting to drive to Downtown Fullerton. I would come back again if I was in the area! Also they have great Vegan options! read more

My first time trying the cupcakes and I ordered 4 a strawberry cheesecake, strawberries and champagne, baileys and mocha, and a chocolate peanut butter they are by far the best cupcakes I have ever had. If you're looking for gluten free or vegan sweets this is the place to go! We got cupcakes and they were amazing, especially the cinnamon doughnut one! There are other fancy options and they are attractively decorated. Everyone was wowed! They also have cookies which we'll try next, and if you want a cake (they're gorgeous!) you'll have to order a couple weeks in advance. I'm extremely disappointed in Hapa because of my recent experience. New year's eve I drove by to pick up some cupcakes for my annual party. As I was parking I saw someone coming out of the bakery with large white boxes and putting them into a SUV as she was putting the boxes into the car there was a male upfront SMOKING with the windows rolled up. That's extremely concerning to me because I have kids that love Hapa cupcakes. I called a couple days later to let someone know about this disturbing behavior and she explained to me that they deliver the cupcakes to the other location and that should would let the owners know. I drove by recently to see if that same person was delivering and it appeared she was. I won't be back. After being with Hapa since 2016 I'll have to find myself another bakery. read more

I placed an order for a 6" Rosette Cake. Had a particular deadline for pickup and made the mistake of not checking when I paid. Called the next day and was able to have the cake ready a few days early. Awesome. Picked up the order and realized that they had forgotten the firework candle. Returned back to the store and the worker claimed that I had not paid for it and I had to show proof with my receipt. The cake itself was great in flavor but a bit dry. The chocolate frosting was also a little too thick for my liking. Would return to check out other product and maybe some things are better than others. read more

I have given them 2 weeks to respond and I still have not heard from them. Talk about poor customer service. I went in and purchased 2 dozens of cupcakes and a few cookies ($83.00) at 9:30am with my 2 year old son on July 18th. Customer service lacks on so many levels. My son and I were walking out holding hands as any good parent would do being that Imperial Hwy is a busy street. Their steps leading to the parking lot are uneven/unfinished and narrow and there is a water hose and faucet coming out from the wall infront of the unfinished step entrance. Needless to say I fell to the ground along with my toddler with the bag of cupcakes. I am 6 months pregnant and was very shaken up and was in tears and pain. I went inside and told the young male who said he was the manager about what had happened and he could care less that I was in tears. I left my name and number to have someone call me and have yet to receive a call. Someone is going to get seriously injured and they could care less about the safety of their establishment and paying customers. Needless to say I will take my business elsewhere and spread the word throughout my community. Absolutely love Hapa! I recently discovered this place on Yelp for their Fullerton location a few months ago. Attentive customer service at the Brea location. This satisfies any sweet tooth. I highly recommend their cookies and cupcakes especially the Sprinkle cookies. It has a chewy texture and buttery soft, almost cake batter like middle. It's amazing and unique! I keep returning for their gourmet cupcakes. There's a variety from the alcohol infused cupcake to the seasonal. I have yet to try them all because they are constantly experimenting with new recipes. read more

They are absolutely horrible, Terrible customer service, No way near predecessor establishment (Frost my cake) at this location. Cakes and cupcakes are so dry,(Probably few days old i guess). This review is for the Brea location. I've been there a couple of times now and I've had an excellent experience. I think it's because both times April was at the counter. She is very helpful and personable and took a moment to make suggestions and find out what kinds of things I like. I can be very indecisive. Earlier this year I went in for cupcakes and since I love chocolate I ended up getting chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting (yum!) and chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I LOVE their chocolate frosting. They also had lemon cupcakes with lavender frosting - I think it was the flavor of the month. Amazing! Last week I went in and April told me about their cookies. They have apple caramel filled snickerdoodles. She suggested taking them home warming them up and serving them a la mode. I'm so glad I took her suggestion. My husband and I were blown away! I ordered a two tiered naked cake for my wedding and unfortunately was disappointed with the chocolate cake. It was way too dry and did not taste good. I normally love their chocolate cupcakes which is why i chose Hapa for my cake. However, I ended up throwing away the chocolate cake. I have been to both the Fullerton and Brea locations for cupcakes & cookies and went away happy. But, not sure what happened here. So bummed. read more

They made ordering our cake easy and perfect. Our birthday theme was Charlie brown and the Peanuts gang. I showed them what i wanted and they definitely delivered!!! i honestly couldn't be more happier with the outcome. my husband went to go pick up the cake and he came home with the perfect cake and a bag full of free cupcakes as well!! Everything was a total hit! the cake stood out on the treat table and the cupcakes were demolished by my family haha. i highly recommend you order your cakes here, also be sure to pick up some cupcakes. you won't regret it! the cakes are soft and moist, full of flavor, and the icing isn't heavy or to sweet. my son enjoyed his first cake and we enjoyed seeing his reaction in smashing and eating it.
