I have visited Happiest Hour a few times to enjoy some cocktails and relax with friends. Located in the Harwood area of Uptown - there is a huge, expansive area downstairs in the dining / bar area, an outdoor patio with another bar, and a yard area with picnic style tables. Inside the bar area there are a couple private booths separated by a glass fireplace (sexy). Upstairs they have a big patio with an amazing view, comfy couches etc., in addition to an indoor seating area. I typically just have drinks, so I'm always in the bar area on either floor. I'm not crazy about the fact that you only have the option to order drinks on the second floor - no food - even though the second floor is HUGE with an indoor and outdoor seating area (prob why I typically just get drinks there). I have ordered appetizers before - the wings are delicious, and so is the Brisket Queso. My last visit was on a Sunday evening. They were relatively quiet so my friend and I sat at the bar downstairs. Bartenders were all pretty attentive and our drinks came quickly. We asked for recommendations on the food - there are 5 entrees and about nine sandwiches to choose from. I have to say, although the one bartender raved about two of the sandwiches, my friend and I were both very disappointed with our selections. I got the Texas Toast Bacon Grilled Cheese with Smoked Gouda Sriracha Aioli, my friend got the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Honey Mustard, Chipotle Mayo, Bacon, and Lettuce. We both agreed the sandwiches were bland. Smoked Gouda and Sriracha gave me the impression there would be bold, spicy flavors but alas it was not so. My friend wished her grilled chicken had more herbs/seasonings etc. - Flavor! I think for the patio view, the vibe, and drinks (in that order) it is a cool spot, but I don't know that I need to try the food again. read more

So I have heard a lot about this place so I thought why not try this place out. Me and my girls meet here for Saturday brunch. I loved the amount of open space and people were not super close together. They have the outside patio and rooftop seating. We say in these cool barrels which I thought was absolutely cool. Me and my friend split food cause we knew we wouldn't eat it all alone. Lol .So we ordered the pecan pancakes and the brisket hash. Listen the pancakes were so good. It was the perfect balance of sweet. The pancakes were a bit thick almost like a cake but I loved them. The brisket hash was a definite must try and had a good flavor. I also ordered the sangria which was really good as well. I definitely could taste the alcohol reborn when I got it. This is a great spot for large groups and their menu accommodates large parties. Awesome atmosphere and a great place to take friends/family visiting the area. Docked a star because service can be slow at times, their actual "happy hour" isn't that great (4-6pm on weekdays and only on some drinks), and they don't serve food on the rooftop. Their lemon pepper wings and strawberry salad are my go-to food items. The rooftop is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon drinking with friends. However, on weekend nights, it's a different story with the rooftop so packed sometimes you can't find a seat or a spot at the bar to grab a drink. It's best to come early around dinner time if you want just a laidback vibe. read more

Came to this restaurant with some friends on a Friday evening. Was looking forward to good food and drinks. This evening was going great until it was time to pay for the tab. I double checked the items and total before giving the waitress my credit card. She returned the receipts for me to sign but did not return my credit card. She tried to convince me she returned it inside the receipt jacket. We looked and looked before talking to the hosts and manager. At one point I was told that the waiters and bartenders are good with returning cc back to the customers, as if it was my fault. So, I left the restaurant without my cc. I later got a call that my cc was found and that I can come back and pick it up. I was also told that it was found on the floor by another customer. I understand that stuff happens. BUT, I am the customer that was totally inconvenienced and paid $80 food and drinks which resulted to a bad experience and no redemption. read more

Came here before the Celine Dion concert. We had a great time. We shared some appetizers, we tried the calamari and loaded fries. So good and filling. For drinks, I had the berries from the west. Light and refreshing. Service was good. When the evening got busier, it was harder to track down our waitress but she was nice and attentive. It's a beautiful layout/setup. The designers did a great job. As far as food, well it's overpriced--not that great. Service overall subpar. And drink menu was lacking (Significantly limited so go with the basics if you want to drink here). LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! I've had this spot bookmarked since it opened and finally tried it out for the first time for brunch on Saturday. When you arrive, they have mandatory valet (no set price, tips only). The decor is very cute and the rooftop patio has an amazing view (I'll definitely have to come back at night and check it out). The mimosa's are pretty good, but a little pricey ($7.50 each). I didn't have anything to eat during my visit, but the rest of my party did & had great things to say about the chips and queso as well as the chicken and waffles. I'm not some 80 year old man but is it a sports bar for watching college football at 1pm on a Saturday or a Miami night club? If you prefer to play music over game audio, okay I can live with it. But you can't even hear the person sitting across from you because they are using their patrons as test subjects to see how quickly they can blow peoples ear drums. I celebrated New Year's Eve here. I was honestly very disappointed with whoever planned this. The line was a mess and took about 45 minutes for us to get in and it was freezing outside. I'm not sure why, but they only had one heater outside and the rest of them turned off near the dance floor inside. All of those should have been outside so people could enjoy the fireworks. I felt like the entire thing just wasn't worth the hype or money. Yes, you can see the fireworks from the Reunion Tower from outside, however it is in the far distance. Music wasn't that great, there was even a point where the music cut off for about 5-10 minutes. Entire experience was underwhelming. I would probably never go back for a New Years event. read more

Happiest Hour is definitely a place to visit if you're in Dallas for drinks with friends, no matter what night it is. They just updated their happy hour menu and they have plenty of drinks for around $5. Drinks outside of happy hour are like $14, which isn't worth it. Food is pretty good! The menu is a pretty basic "bar" menu, with delicious cheese fries and a very yummy grilled cheese, amongst other things. I wish the grilled cheese cake with a dipping sauce. Friends had the burger, flat bread and teriyaki cauliflower. No complaints. The bar is HUGE so there is plenty of room for everyone. Very upscale and "Dallas-y." Waitress was very slow this visit, I will update next time I find myself here. Taking away a star for being overpriced, which was expected. read more

Drinks were promptly served and we ordered a loaded fries as an appetizer-excellent choice! We had the Kuby's sausage which was great as usual, but would have been nice to have some type of accompaniment such as roll or bread. I had the cheesesteak which was very tasty but 90% of the meat was on one roll and the salad was served without dressing. Our server was very helpful but was stretched thin. The main appeal of this bar is the great setup-- with a large patio, nice rooftop, and perfect downtown location, it's hard to live in Dallas and not stop by here a few times! The drinks are good but a little on the pricier side for a "sports bar" (you could easily spend $100 just while watching a game), although they fittingly have a happy hour that includes $5 glasses of house wine and even cheaper beers. I do wish the happy hour would be a bit more creative and include some cocktails or bar bites though. Food-wise I haven't been too impressed. Last time we ordered the calamari appetizer, which was decent but way too small for two people. The highlight there was definitely the sweet soy sauce for dipping, which sounded a bit odd on paper but turned out to go soo well with the calamari. I also had a shrimp po-boy, which had good bread, sauce, and the yummiest (homemade?) pickles, but unfortunately the shrimps were too heavily breaded. The servers are friendly and attentive, and with so many TVs, it's a great place to watch sports games in addition to post-work happy hours. Happy Hour on a Thursday? Why not!?!? But the way Dallas traffic is set up, we didn't quite make the actual "Happy Hour," but our experience here was still great nonetheless. My intentions were to go for a couple hours, and then go home; NOT to shut the place down, but that's what happened. There was an hour wait for a table, but with the upstairs patio overlooking the city and views of the pregame Mavs crowd, who knew it look that long. This spot has been a favorite for a few years now. Food is good quality and service is normally spot on. I have two complaints. I wish you would carry Diet Coke. Any other brand does not taste the same. I rarely drink alcohol so I always just have to drink water. (Although it is healthier to drink the water.). The next complaint is huge for me. I'm on Keto so I can't eat most things in any menu from any restaurant, but you had a Cobb salad that I eat basically every time I visit. It's delicious and one of the best I've ever had. After reading so many good reviews about the Happiest Hour, I FINALLY made it there last night an I look forward to returning. I was there on a date an I highly recommend it as a "date spot". We retreated to the rooftop an sat on some of the comfiest outdoor "couches" I've ever lounged on! I felt like I was literally in someone's living room, just outside! We enjoyed cocktails while watching the NBA finals game. We had a clear view of the TV however it did dominate over the dallas skyline view as we had our backs turned to that. He sipped on "The Boy's are Back" while I drank "Stars Green Envy". They both were really good an I'd say if you like watermelon, go with his drink an if you like cucumber, go with Stars Green Envy. We missed HH so they were highly priced at $12.99 each. Parking was easy an FREE right across the street. I will say because it was a Tuesday night, the lot wasn't too full. read more

At the end of a lovely sunny day; it was only right to go to a roof top to get a cocktail and catch the night breeze! My cousin brought us here at about 11PM. We literally got parking on the corner of the street in front of the place. I believe there's paid valet parking. It's semi classy in here. As soon as you walk in ID gets checked and mask is mandatory to enter during this time. There are two floors to this bar and the first floor is well lit with great music vibes. Also big open space to allow social distancing. You can order food on the first floor but not the second or even bring it up; it's understandable though. Going up to the second floor you'll enjoy the bar and the outdoor seating with a semi great view of the city. Since it was a little chilly out they had the plastic covering and a few fire pits to warm up the area. It was also spaced out enough for social distancing but I feel like it was over capacity up there, especially by the bar. The cocktail drink menu was a bit pricey & had a short list. I ordered "The boys are back", wasn't too strong or watered down, so definitely worth it. Also the staff were nice and quick to make our drinks, but should keep mask up at all times. We only one drink and left, will definitely come back at a better time when back in Dallas. P. S. Masks should be mandated at all times even after entrance, unless patrons are at their seated area eating or drinking. I've come here for drinks on both weekday and weekend nights and love the different areas to spread out around their two floors, whether the covered patio, giant field with cornhole, small cabanas for groups, or the rooftop bar which has comfy couches and several fire pits. Their team happytizers are incredible, including the 5 lb burger and giant nacho tower topped with queso, pico de gallo, chicken, and red onions. Their cocktails are a bit pricey but are pretty strong and usually have chunks of fresh fruit. The bar gets very crowded on the weekend but it's usually not difficult to find spots to sit. read more

Happiest Hour is located downtown Dallas but has a awesome atmosphere of all demographics and nationalities. Upstairs is for drinking only and downstairs stairs gives you more of a very casual inside outside dining experience. It can get pretty toasty upstairs due to the lack of shaded areas during the day but after the sunset it's a great place to be. Of course my experience was on a Friday evening after work. I am not sure what the vibe is like on other days but it's pretty cool Friday nights. It's a great hook up spot , or girl night out, or friends hang out. The only con of this place is parking for women. The walk from the parking area is a bit long especially after a long night of wearing heels. Luckily they have valet as an option. read more
