So when I came here the first time it was honestly pretty good. I got the volcano fancy pedicure and with gel it cost about $86 which is expensive I would say but it was great the first time besides the actual quality of the polish application which had a pocket of uncured polish which I saw when I got home. I went again today and I got the same pedicure and when I got to my car I was honestly shocked at the quality. There was pieces of orange pulp and globs of lotion left over on my legs which was sticky and unpleasant and looking at my toes they were all different shapes, cut too short so they were rounded weird, and there was almost no callus removal at all. There was dead skin and dirt still under my nails. "It looks like you did it yourself" my partner told me after he looked at it. I told the manger and he brought out a hot towel to wipe my legs off and told me the technicians try their best to remove the skin and whatever else and I let him know for $86 it should look much better than it did. He gave me a gift card for the $18 gel polish up charge after telling me he would refund it. I don't know I'm just disappointed. read more

I used to go to this location before I moved and like to support the community businesses, but I don't think I'll return. As many reviewers claim, they rush through the service now AND they really nickel and dime. Simple Ombré is 15 extra. Acrylic sets or spa pedi no longer come with cuticle trim?! That's an extra charge. I didn't say anything during because I assumed maybe she was saving it for last. Nope! When I asked, she said it wasn't included even though I paid for the deluxe. read more

I found this salon a few months ago, and Moon truly gives the best pedicures. Since coming here, I haven't had any issues with ingrown nails, which I really appreciate. However, during my last visit, my pedicure lasted only about 20 minutes--much shorter than the usual 30 minutes I'm accustomed to. I felt rushed and disappointed, especially since it seemed she had another nail appointment to get to. I called today to schedule another appointment for this Saturday and mentioned my disappointment. I was told that she "works really fast." I explained that I expect the full experience when I book a pedicure. The person then simply asked if I still wanted to schedule for Saturday. I told them I would find another place. There was no apology and no effort to retain me as a customer, which was disappointing. I value good service and communication, and unfortunately, this experience did not reflect that. read more

I am sooooo embarrassed i brought my sister here. This was my 3rd time. The first time was fine, second time I was less happy but its location was convenient. Today I came with my sister who's in town and has an event tonight. Her nails look ATROCIOUS. I'm not thrilled with mine or the attitude when I asked for my nail to be filed differently BUT it was done so that's fine. My sister asked repeatedly to have the lines cleaned up for her French (but in yellow) bc it was super messy and uneven. She had a picture of the flower she wanted and the first try was huge and awful and she asked for it to be smaller. She made her a smaller flower that's not clean and absolutely not worth $5. This was a gel manicure and it was left bumpy with the paint and not smooth as it should be. In addition they did not remove all of the previous gel nail polish leaving some nails uneven for that reason. My sister does NOT like confrontation or criticizing someone's work. We left and she was so upset and decided to call when we got home. She offered to come back and show them but wanted a partial refund as she's going on a trip tomorrow and will be going to get them done elsewhere. She was told no refunds or gift cards to come back another time. She could come back in now and they could try and fix it. When she told them she couldn't because she has to be somewhere in an hour (why we made an appointment when we did) they said she could text her pictures and when she comes back to visit in a month they would giver her 5-10% off. I feel sooooooooo bad I suggested this place instead of where she suggested. She spent over $70 for her to now go get it done again on vacation. I'm so disappointed. I'm absolutely shocked. I've been here three times for dip powder manicures and two of those times got pedicures as well. Both previous dip powder manicures lasted several months! The first time, they did not chip or lift for 72 days!!! (Typically they only last a few weeks before they start getting battered). The second time, they started to lift a little sooner but my nails were much longer by then so it's more likely to lift. My nails this time look great and feel like they will last a long time. The basic Spa Pedicure is great with a massage and scrub. Located in a shopping center that has easy parking and not too crowded. Prices are reasonable and up front, and both times I've come (mid-day on a week day), they were not too busy which is great for someone like me that doesn't make appointments in advance usually. The space is large, open, and very peaceful and relaxing. I will definitely keep coming back again! I wish I remembered the name of the first tech that did my manicure because I would love to go to her again. She did such a fantastic job! read more

My nails look amazing! They are exactly what I asked for and Hana did an amazing Job. It was such a cute and cozy place and I thought everybody was pretty nice. They don't speak that much English so you do have to be specific. Be prepared for toe nails to cost a good amount though, they are a bit on the pricier side and that is definitely a negative. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE as soon as i sat i got an attitude from the nail tech, i wanted to just to do builder get and keep my nails a nice length and after that she kept cutting my nails down, I didn't like the shape since she didn't check in with me as she kept cutting so then we proceeded to just cut them all the way short after I grew my nails out for years which i was very disappointed about and then she cut the skin under my nail bed, and I started gushing blood after i screamed of the pain. Very traumatic experience would not go again this tech was not experienced. My sister also went with me and she had a great nail tech. I also did not get a discount or anything, and after this happened, the nail tech (vanessa) dropped her attitude that she started with and tried to talk to me as I was holding back my tears. read more

This place is good at nails. Thats about all I can say, they are good at what they do but they don't have that customer service aspect I look for. Some of them are nice but not all of them and both myself and my friend had a problem with them being too rough on the nails and nail bed and causing bleeding with them quickly saying "stop moving" to cover up even though we had not been moving... good nails but I don't see myself coming back here. read more

This is a hit or miss nail salon. The environment gets as A. But the nail techs are not great over all. Nina is a great nail technician. She takes her time and gives great massages. Van rushes through a "Deluxe Manicure," over applies nail polish and has no technique w/her massage. It's a quick experience that's not very enjoyable. Alyssa is ok but also doesn't have much training in massage. Call ahead and request Nina or prepare to be disappointed. read more

I've been coming here regularly for a couple months now, I have acrylic nails with gel, and I get a gel pedicure (every 4 weeks) I LOVE Sharon & Shannon for nails they do an incredible job! My nail retention is amazing, I'm a hairstylist so I'm always washing hair, using my nail as a tool for sectioning, honestly putting my nails through the wringer! I never have nails that pop off, lift, or rip off. Which is super important to me since I'm always using my hands! I love the atmosphere, here, I always feel so well taken care of. I sometimes do simple nails, or I'll do really fun crazy designs, and it's amazing that they have nail techs that can do anything! I love that this location is close and convenient to my house, I always walk in, never have to wait long for an appointment, and am always happy with the work done! Me and my friend visited this nail salon and within 10 minutes i was seen and my friend was seen within 5. I got a full set and my friend got a pedicure so that's why she got seen quicker. All the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. They also offer drinks and they were realllly good. Overall I'm super happy with the experience and with my nails. This is all based on my own opinion, and know one else! The salon is large, very nice, and extremely Clean, and their color palette goes on and on. My favorite lady is Lee, but you know to each his own, and I think you should try the other ladies too! Lee, I have found does everything the way I like it! Prices are very reasonable, and they are prepared to do whatever service you need or what you like! For me, I go for the regular manicure & pedicure! I've been a regular customer at Happiness Nail Salon, but my recent experience was incredibly disappointing and honestly, unacceptable. During my mani-pedi appointment, after my feet had been soaking for some time, the technician who came to do my manicure scooped water from my foot bath and tried to use it for my hand soak. Yes, the same water my feet had just been in. Completely unhygienic and honestly disgusting. I had to ask multiple times for her to please use fresh water for my hands, and instead of acknowledging the issue, she seemed annoyed and started speaking with the other staff in another language--clearly about the situation. I felt uncomfortable and disrespected, both as a paying customer and a human being. Cleanliness should never be up for debate, especially at a salon. Sadly, this experience has made me question whether it's safe for me to return. read more

New owners took over and the business has gone down hill. They have more guys doing the pedicures and manicures. When I went I had a guy named Danny he gave me the worse pedicure and manicure I have ever had. I don't think he even bothered to trim my nails they are all slanted and polish after a week is chipping off. He obviously does not know what he is doing. I do not recommend this business for you do not get what you pay for. It's a shame because the old business owners cared about there customers. read more

My favorite nail salon in San Diego!!! I literally cannot recommend this place enough. I have been so, so, SO happy with every single set I've gotten from this place. I usually get acrylic with gel polish. I do walk-ins sometimes, but since I do ask for some complicated designs I try to call ahead when I can since full acrylic sets can be time-consuming and I want to be respectful of their time. Pictured are most of the sets I've gotten done here :D In most cases, I show the nail tech a picture and they help color match or provide ideas for design recommendations. Super helpful and I trust them 100% to make my nails super cute every single time. Usually I get Holly when it comes to acrylics, but every nail tech here is so talented and accommodating that you can't go wrong. The acrylic and gel hold up super well, and I get so many compliments on my sets. I've been going here for almost two years and never have had a bad experience. I recommend paying in cash as they don't accept tips on card! Can't recommend this place enough, definitely deserves 5 stars. Love the location of this nail salon so if you find yourself in a time crunch and need a simple pedicure I would recommend this place. I came in around 5:45PM a little over an hour before they closed and wanted a dip powder set with a French tip. There were about 3 techs available. I was happy they took me in. However, 10 minutes into my appointment they started closing up the store and my appointment felt SUPER rushed. The rush definitely shows in my nails. My tech was nice, and she has a few glowing reviews on Yelp so overall I was excited to be paired with her. I think perhaps if there wasn't the time/closing pressure my nails may have come out better? The last 10 minutes I was there the other techs were leaning in looking at how much work was left. I rarely get my nails done because it's just so hard to find a great nail tech. I would happily be a loyal customer to the right tech! I did make sure to give 25% tip because we as customers never know what sort of days nail techs have had. However, personally, I won't be returning if this is the work from one of their most experienced techs. Pictures are less than a week after my service. Nails have never looked this weird. Two of my nails came off after 4 days. Not sure if I'm mad about that considering I want them off asap. Indent in my thumb I noticed right after my service in the car. read more
