This burger spot is amazing and I am not sure why there aren't many reviews! Burgers are so fresh, never frozen, and hella good!! The Happy Melt with truffle fries are delicious as well as the happy sauce which is used for dipping! Excellent and friendly customer service. Nice covered seating in peaceful area to enjoy while you eat. I will definitely be back to try more as they have nice menu options! Happy Buns is a 10 out of 10 for me! It's a must try !! read more

Called in our order and the food was ready for pick up within 20 mins! Got the mushroom and Swiss burger and it was delicious. The Swiss was nice and melted, burger was cooked well and the grilled onions were delicious. The truffle fries were okay, a bit dry but decent. read more

After a stressful situation pretty much reached it's conclusion a weekend or two ago ( I will get more detail into that in a future Yelp review for another business) Steve and I decided to make a brief escape to Auburn to spoil ourselves at a few places we like up that way. While doing this we saw a bunch of food trucks and decided to wander around them as we were getting hungry. We settled to give Happy Buns a try as a hamburger did sound good even though initially it wasn't what we had in mind. We enjoyed our meal very much! We got a hamburger a piece and split an order of fries... there was more than enough to split with one order. They were nice and crisp and definitely a good side to go along with the rest of our meal. I got the Happy Burger which was a burger with their Happy Sauce, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, bacon and cheddar cheese. It was a very good burger! I liked it very much! I wasn't sure if I wanted bacon also but I went ahead and had the "everything on it" option and it was good and not too much. Steve got the Bacon Cheeseburger with mayo, bacon and cheddar cheese. His was good too! Happy Buns was a good stop! It is a food truck so if you plan to eat there then pick a nice day to go and sit otherwise it probably should be a "to go" order if it's not pleasant weather! read more

I just ordered the classic, we also ordered the carne asada fries. The meat on the Fries were a bit salty. My classic burger was well cooked and not bad. My husband liked what he ordered as well. My boyfriend and I wanted to get some malasadas early from the truck next door and decided to grab some lunch while we wait for them to open. We were greeted by the owner/chef/cashier who also delivers food to nearby businesses which is pretty amazing! We got the loaded spicy dog combo and Seattle dog combo which is just a side of fries with their homemade sauce for an extra dollar. There were three picnic tables nearby the truck so we sat on those with our fur babies while enjoying the food. The hot dogs are huge and packed with goodies. I have been to different hot dog stands and trucks that boast that they load their hot dogs but I truly think Happy Buns knows the real definition of loaded. The hot dogs were cooked to perfect not being extremely burnt but grilled nicely. The bacon wrapped hot dog was just added an extra layer of texture and flavor. The buns were toasted too and kept everything together. I wouldn't say the hot dog was spicy though but that's alright as they do have Tapatío, as well as other popular condiments available. One issue that my boyfriend and I had though was that the hot dog was extremely hard to eat with your hands. They do offer utensils however, so definitely pick some up. I just hope that won't be the case for the burgers as I really don't like messy and soggy buns. My other issue is that the combo is just for fries but not a drink and I feel like combos should include a drink, but that's my personal preference. You can easily just get a drink from the nearby smoke shop as they have drinks for cheaper. Other than that, this is a great burger spot for decent prices and taste. read more

Wow! What a treat and a great find. We just finished up at the ball fields for father's day and we wanted burgers. You know the drill, hop on Yelp to find what has some good reviews and your put on the spot. Happy Buns to the rescue! We ordered two Happy Burgers, a bacon burger, and one order of garlic fries for the three of us. The man at the counter was friendly, the food was very good, just the right crispy level on the garlic fries, perfect temp on this 70 degree day where nothing sogged out and the food was all we talked about. You sit on outdoor picnic tables shared between other food trucks and the area was clean and well kept. I would say this is a great food spot to visit. read more

I saw this new food truck pop up recently and was actually so happy with the food! No wonder they're called happy buns lol. This is definitely my new spot!! I got a few things w my friends since everything looked soooo good. The burgers are SO flavorful and loaded! I'm so glad they weren't stingy with the ingredients. My daughter-in-law works across the street at the Vet clinic. She suggested it. WOW! DELICIOUS! I love a mushroom burger and their's is sooooo good. The fries are exceptionally good. It's not cheap, average is about $15 for burger and fries, but it is well worth every penny. My husband loves the cheeseburger and you have to try the bacon wrapped hot dog. The hot dogs are huge. Happy Buns First time trying this place. I am impressed. The truffle fries were fantastic. The fajita dog: Very tasty. My critiques would be, a little less peppers and onions maybe. They almost take over the hotdog. Also, sweet onions may be a little left of center for a bell pepper/onion combo. Regular onions might blend with the peppers better. Lastly, I dont know how much it serves the dog to be cut down the middle, I kinda feel like it made it more unwieldy... but no less enjoyable. And I got a bacon cheeseburger. Plus gorganzola, and I added sourkraut. (Purchased on the side as I hadnt figured out what I wanted it for, yet). Honestly, one of the best burgers I have ever had. Like, way at the very top of my list. The combo of ingredients fit together like sashimi and rice. Will order again. Not so sloppy that it was hard to eat, but still very juicy. The cheese was flavorful and was not lost in the mix, and the saurkraut gave it a little extra something that I will be replicating again. This food truck lot has some great choices.
