I received a quote from Bradford's on 2/23/21 for my son's rehearsal dinner this November. The…read moretotal quote was $3129.28, which included an up-charge of $9 per person for "two 4 Oz beef tenderloin medallions". On September 24th I received an email stating that due to recent increases in beef the up-charge would now be $66 PER PERSON-a 633% increase and a total increase of 52% in the cost of the dinner. This was 6 weeks before the wedding and left me no options for finding another caterer. After emailing back and forth they came down to an additional $52.09 per person up-charge for a total cost of $4279.74. They have a little blurb and prices are subject to change and they will try to offer suggestions for meal options in the contract, but I would have never thought they would increase by that much! The option they offered was sirloin, but that was not what we signed up for or wanted. They showed up on time and the servers did a great job. The food tasted good, but the 2-4 Oz medallions looked like the picture I am attaching (the quality is not good because my husband didn't want the flash on to draw attention to the fact I was taking a picture of his tiny serving). That is my husband's actual serving of his ONE medallion that cost us $84. It was cooked to perfection and tasted good, but it was literally 2 bites of beef! Thank goodness we only had 39 people that night...I can't imagine if they had done what they did to me to an actual wedding with over 100 people. I understand COVID has caused increases and would have better understood being charged maybe 10-15% more on the overall cost to make up for that, but this was absurd. I truly could not recommend this company due to this, which is sad because the taste and service was good.

They even had luxury golf carts at the ready if you didn't want to walk up the hill to the restaurant. What a nice touch. This place is obviously upscale, but it was nice to see a variety of dress. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. I am always a bit anxious meeting the server for the evening. I have been to many nicer restaurants where the server hung on me like an over-sized suit. That can really take away from an otherwise lovely meal. Not today. Meet my new friend, Nik. He was extremely well versed in the offerings on the entire menu. He made thoughtful suggestions presented in a kind and sincere delivery. He was extremely attentive the entire meal. My unsweetened iced tea never reached the halfway point before Nik had a fresh one at the ready. This was some of the best table service I have EVER experienced. One last thing about the freshness of the fish. A couple of years ago, my wife and I had the opportunity to go on a bucket list trip to the St. Regis in the Maldives. We caught grouper on a fishing excursion and it was prepared by the master chefs at St. Regis. The grouper we had tonight was just as good if not better than that delightful meal in the Maldives.
