Stopped in here for lunch around 1pm on a Thursday. The inside seating area is a little small but we were able to find a place to sit easily and there is also outdoor seating. Your food is made fresh to order so don't expect it to come right out. It's gonna be a minute. I got the BLT and onion rings and a cherry Dr Pepper. Their "cherry" sodas are the old fashioned style in which they add cherry syrup to your soda which is not something you see often. BLT was very good, the bacon was nice and salty. It came in Texas toast which held up to the sandwich fillings well. The onion rings were good in that you could bite through it without the entire string of onion pulling out. The batter wasn't super flavorful and could have used more spice but I'll manage. Next time I'll probably get the seasoned fries. They have so many flavors of ice cream it was hard to choose. I had black walnut and my husband had black cherry. Both were delicious. We also had a fish plate. Friends with us had a variety of meals and everyone seemed to enjoy. The employees were working hard to get us served in a timely manner. The weather was perfect, so we ate outside. We love to come here for burgers and fries, but the milkshakes are so inconsistent, we couldn't even drink them the last time we ordered. One was so melted it was almost watery, and the other tasted like they ran out of chocolate and added powder to it. It was awful. A good ole fashioned dairy bar, plenty of good ice cream, and all the usual suspects when it comes to a old school dairy bar, corn dogs, onion rings, burgers and even some dinner entrees such as catfish plates. Prices are reasonable and by comparison to other comparable spots very competitive. Overall this little food joint feels very southern and home townish. Cute little ice cream bar/restaurant. Menu has lots of options depending on how you feel. The people in the back and serving you at the windows were kind and made sure everyone was taken care of. Food quality was okay, but really didn't come with high expectation. Ice cream was really good and they have way too many options to count. Only advice I'd give for this place is they can work on being more efficient. Looks like everyone in the back was trying to move as quick as possible but between the drive-thru, dining in, and walk up windows, it seemed like they didn't have enough hands to serve everyone in a timely manner. read more

Super personalized service with delicious food. We had the chicken philly salad (not on the menu, but we were told it will be added soon), the patty melt, and an order of onion rings. The chicken philly salad had grilled chicken, onions, tomatoes, peppers, and melted cheese over a salad, and I got honey mustard for little bit of sweetness. Everything was hot and fresh, and the onion rings were so crispy! We tried both the Killer milkshake (chocolate, caramel, and peanuts) and the Casino milkshake (hot fudge and whipped cream) at the cashier's recommendation. I couldn't decide which I liked more, but I ended up deciding that the Killer milkshake would have been better on its own because the peanut taste was a little weird with the salad. I tried this for the first time over a week ago now, and I have had it almost every day since. Their burgers are the best burgers I have ever had. They're greasy but the perfect amount of grease and they just fall apart in your hands. It's perfect. The ice cream is awesome and you get a good serving size for the price. The fried pickles are super flavorful and juicy. The fried ocra could use a little salt but they're good otherwise. This is my new favorite place to get lunch (which is perfect because it's right down the road from my work.) If you haven't had it, go. You will not be disappointed. read more

So he was passing this place in Nesbit MS and so I looked up the Menu online. He got us the Double Cheeseburgers and fries. The price was good, and the food was still hot when he got home in OB, because they cooked it hot, only when you place your order. I used to come here every Monday night. I had my regular order of burger with everything and chili cheese fries. I've been a couple of times since the new owners took over and everything was the same and delicious until tonight when I got my order, I drove off and realized I got just cheese fries instead of chili cheese fries, no big deal. They corrected it by just dumping a ton of chili on top of it and gave it back. The fries are no longer skinny and crunchy like it used to be, they are now fat and soggy. More consistent with store bought fries you throw in the oven at home. When I opened my burger, a quarter of it was missing and the rest of the patty just crumbled. (Picture is to show what it looked like before I even ate it) It also didn't have pickles when I ordered everything. I'm very disappointed and hoped these new owners would stay consistent. This was such a cute stop on our roadtrip! The polar bears were the original reason we stopped, but it quickly changed to their awesome and delicious selection of soft serve ice cream (27 flavors!!!). I happen to come across this little place right down the road from me and was more than pleased with what i found. its not big by any means but the food and the price was right for a quick lunch. On the inside there is a multitude of elvis memorabilia and a small sitting area. On the outside there is an ice cream bar also with a sitting area. On our way back from the Hernando Square, we decided to check out this establishment for dessert, as it had a weird dive-esque feel to it. We walked in and saw a bunch of photos of classic pop-culture icons sprawled across the wall. This place is definitely low on glamour, but has it's own charm about it. I then ordered the caramel soft-serve. I found out the small was $2.40 and the extra large was $3, so I decided to go big on this one and got the XL. I got the ice cream and it was FAR more than I needed or could finish; two people could split it and probably still have leftovers. I'll admit, I wasn't a tremendous fan of the taste, but I'm not much of a soft-serve fan to begin with so I won't dock them that substantially for my not liking the flavor as much as other ice creams. At the end of the day, the prices are simply amazing here and I will likely come back here at some point and try some actual food next time we come to this part of town. read more

Army term: BLUF. Bottom line up front. Avoid this place at all cost. Our interest was piqued when we saw an incredible amount of different ice cream flavor available. Alas, our adventure turned sour. First, it's dirty. And this may sound a little strange but it's a little creepy of a place. Walking in there were a few people sitting at a darkened eating area who seemed to have been there quite awhile! A woman was grinding something for quite a few minutes from what appeared to be a soft serve machine - and who didn't bother looking up at us while she ground away. Another lady was doing something at a cash register and she too did not look up at us. We assumed we ordered at a window opening so stood there awhile looking at their menu of ice cream deciding from the many favors. The grinder girl then stopped grinding and proceeded to call to one of the customers sitting in the creepy eating area. The waffle cone was quite small and the man came up, grabbed the cone while the grinder lady passed it between us, never looking at or acknowledging us whatsoever. Decision time! Stay or chance it. I really wanted to like Happy Daze and give it five stars, but that is not to be the case. While the service staff were mostly friendly and polite, the food was a huge, and I mean HUGE, disappointment. Since Happy Daze is a mom-n-pop joint that locals seem to enjoy, I expected the food to be more unique. What they have is preprocessed and prepackage food that anybody can buy from Sysco and slap a price on it. The hamburger meat was a pre-made soy patty, the fries were shoestring type from a bag, and the nachos and cheese were nothing more than bagged chips and "cheese" in a can from the grocery store. In addition, it is far too expensive. The only bright spot was the attempt to decorate the place with old albums and such from Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis, and the music was pleasing (80's and 90's country). I am sorry to say that I will never be back and I caution everyone who reads this to not expect much. read more
