The dental hygienist and front desk worker reassured her that what was being done would be covered. Then they tried to bill her over $300 for services. The front desk worker called regarding the payment to which my wife said she didn't feel comfortable paying for services that were declined and agreed upon. The worker said she'd speak with the dentist. Days later she received a voicemail from the front desk lady admitting to it being her fault for not checking what was covered. Days later the office sent a break up letter saying how it's best for both the office and my wife to not continue their patient practice relationship. Not our fault your worker relayed incorrect information and were trying to charge more then was agreed. Otherwise the cleaning was through.

Thought I just got something stuck in my cap. Nope I had a fracture in the root. So har to have my tooth pulled. This was part of a bridge so she had to cut the bridge and pull the molar. I put some headphones on and she was very gentle ( yeah I know still getting a tooth pulled) with it but before I knew it we were done. I got a few more things I need to go back and get done but I feel like I'm not getting taken advantage of.

The staff are professional, helpful and follow all protocols to protect their patients health and safety. He had to remove all my remaining teeth due to a medication I was on for 6 months that caused my teeth to become brittle and break at the gum line. When I actually couldn't make that rescheduled appt, I called the day before to reschedule. I was told by the front desk girl that it was too late & I'd be charged a $50 fee. I said, it's the day before & courtesy should be extended to me because this was an appt they rescheduled on me 30 min before. She said matter of fact, sorry we're charging you. I knew the front desk would be unpleasant from then on. I got me a new dentist. I still get a weekly text saying I owe them $50.

My old practice was a single dentist, a few dental assistants and a receptionist. You spend your entire visit with the dentist and he provides you an honest summary of your visit. The total visit is under a half hour. Biltmore Commons has 6 Dentists and at least that many dental hygienist and more dental assistants and receptionists. You spend the majority of your visit with your hygienist and about 2 minutes with the dentist. Because there is so much overhead you get a Spirit Airlines experience where you are constantly getting upsold nonsense. The hygienists are more like used car salesmen than people who clean your teeth. I have been to this place twice and they have tried selling me laser treatment ($100) night guards ($800), Invisilign, a Waterpick ($120), an additional cleaning, and they were going to try to sell me an electric toothbrush if I didn't already have one. The hygienists don't give up the entire visit until you say yes to something. The dentist never says you need any of these things. I never went through with any of these scams. And I will not be going to Biltmore Commons ever again. My first visit was 2 hours (with x-rays) and my second was almost an hour (without x-rays). I have a life and my time is not valued. My recommendation is to find a dentist with less overhead where they can pay for their practice with just regular dental work and not ancillary products.
