I've had problems with the grooming several times in a row. This last one was pathetic. They had to take her back three times and she just got more and more botched every time. A couple of weeks ago, I took her for her monthly bath, and while she was wet when I picked her up, her tummy was still dry so that part never even got washed! I mean, a 15 minute bath for a 60 pound dog? It is not reasonable that it would be a good one. Hope they can fix it, but I decided to cancel my membership for now.

I decided to try them one more time this past week. I went to drop my pup off at 8am for a scheduled appointment, no one was there when I arrived. I got in contact with someone at 8:21am and was informed "someone should be there" (even though no one was). The person I spoke with said they were still 26 minutes away. I wasn't able to wait any longer, so we agreed that I could come back at 10:30am, which I did. I checked in at 2:20pm (4 hours later), and the groomer stated she was running behind and needed 3 more hours. I wasn't comfortable with my dog being crated for another 3 hours (total of 7) so I went to pick her up. When I arrived, the groomer was sitting in the back room playing on her phone with earbuds in. There were ~5 small dogs in tiny crates waiting for services. My dog had been bathed but nothing else, and the fur around her face, belly, and feet were still dirty. The overall experience, including lack of communication, was unacceptable. I won't be back, and I don't recommend you try them either.

I was ecstatic when I found out Alyson would be grooming, the same groomer we had last time. She is so pleasant and kind, she is knowledgeable, and after a 10 minute meet and greet inside the house, my 90 lb dog loves her. I was able to book the grooming in advance via text, they confirmed the day before, and then Alyson text me when she was on her way. Regarding cost and time, I don't have a basis for comparison, however this does feel like a premium price but for a premium service. My 90 lb rescue is a St Bernard mix that gets easily matted, the grooming cost $140 (I tipped an additional $30, total $170), and it took about 2.5 hours. As I don't have know how much grooming would be at a brick-and-mortar or another mobile groomer for the service he received, I am unsure if this is above or on par. This is a premium 1:1 service, convenient, and the time savings and care given is so well worth it! If you can dedicate hours to another task around the house or if you work from home, it feels like I was given the gift of time back to my day too. She does come inside to get to know your animal to become comfortable with them. So you need to be okay with that. This allows your animal to become familiar and comfortable with her too in their home first which I appreciate, it shows how passionate she is about animals. If you want to be updated during the grooming or if you'd prefer to get quoted if anything additional is needed, she is responsive to questions via text during the session. I am so happy I found them, and I am already thinking about when I can get her booked again.

One of my fur baby is usually timid and scared, but she loves coming here to see Miss Ruby. She listens to what you want and she makes great recommendations. She is also very gentle and patient with our dogs. The Rover Oaks staff members are all very friendly and they have a very organized online system to enter any immunization records and you can also view your pup's pawgress report. They also offer daycare and boarding services. It also looks like they may offer training as well. Every time we come here, all dogs are eager to go in and are all happy when they are there, so it seems that they are doing things right here!

I have walked in many times and observed the employees gathered in conversations opposed to greeting customers. On my most recent visit, a 32-pack of Friskies was displayed with a $19.99 price tag underneath it. When I checked out, it rang up at $26. I pointed out the discrepancy, and instead of addressing it right away, I was left waiting while other customers were checked out. There were two employees present, and it seemed that one could have assisted me while the other continued working the register. Instead, I stood there waiting, unsure what was going to happen. Eventually, the employee who rand me up brought up a 24-pack that apparently matched the advertised price. The whole situation seemed to be an inconvenience for the employees, so I ultimately said, "Never mind." Then, I mentioned that the Pet Supermarket on Richmond, which recently closed, would have simply honored the displayed price. Jennifer responded, "We're not that store." My reply was, "No, you definitely are not." I shop here to buy food for animals that depend on me, and good customer service still matters. Unfortunately, this store consistently feels indifferent toward its customers. Pet Supermarket, you closed the wrong store. Time to hire people who actually look like they enjoy their jobs at a pet store.
