So SAD to experience what's happened with HAPPY Donuts. This place used to offer the best coffee in the area (loved their hazelnut), as well as very fresh donuts and other edibles. The new staff we encountered--we confirmed a change in ownership/management--were quite decent (one star for that) but the coffee was the most tasteless, watered down brew I've ever had, anywhere. The donut and croissant we ordered turned out to be rubbery, not fresh in the least. At least it was consistent with the coffee. We got there before 11 am, so the disaster can't be blamed on a graveyard shift timeframe. Attention, owner/manager, if you're reading this: There may still be time to save this establishment but you'd need to act quickly. Figure out how to get the quality back to the way it was and do that without delay. The business you save will be your own. read more

It appears to be some kind of hard fragment that bends slightly, possibly a piece of bone or another foreign object. Needless to say, I was shocked and disgusted. How does something like this end up inside an apple fritter? Finding a foreign object in food raises serious concerns about quality control and sanitation. After trying to find a donut shop after work for National Donut Day, I was ecstatic to see Happy Donut is open 24 hours. The woman working the counter was attentive and friendly, she was working on a few orders when I came in and communicated with me that she would help me soon. They had a large variety and I was super happy to get a blueberry donut because it's my favorite, but not all shops sell it. At check out, the woman threw in a couple donut holes for free of charge. My family and I have been going here for years, but it's been a while since I last visited and I was happy to find that the donuts are still delicious (and super fresh) as they always have been. Located in a small plaza off of Seven Trees where trash fills the parking lot. It's in a questionable neighborhood. Gavin was sick, so I went to get his favorites to cheer him up. He wasn't able to sleep the night before because he had a fever. First time I heard him cry at night. Cash only. Very friendly service. I ordered half a dozen. I came here with one friend and 2 kids. We came around 11am so there was still donuts left. There was a wide range of gazed to apple fritters that you can get. I liked how it is open 24 hours of the day. They did 7 different kinds of cofffee that you ca choose from. The different kinds of coffee they had were French roast dark Italian, Columbian supreme , decaf Colombian French, hazelnut, Hawaiian Kona blend, French vanilla and cinnamon tea. It was nice that it's only $1.50 for a cup. There isn't any refills but that's ok. One tip to note that it is cash only and they have fruit smoothies as well as ice cream that you can buy. Maybe I would recommend coming when it is in the morning and it's fresh. I definitely will be coming back as it is a convenient location right by 7-Eleven and an Asian restaurant. read more
