After 8:30ish any day of the week and you're going to find warm thick maple/chocolate icing not even completely dry yet, on a semi crunchy (in the best way) donut. Maybe I just went on the completely wrong day because they didn't taste all that fresh either, the Blueberry Doughnut and Danish anyway. Awesome that they're open 24/7. Lady behind the counter was nice enough to tell us which donuts were the freshest. We're constantly doing late night donut runs, no matter what city we're in, so we have comparisons. We had the glazed raised ones, and though they were fluffy and light, the fiance and I agreed that they weren't sweet enough. I don't know, something was just off about them. This is hands down the best donut shop in San Jose. I love their Boston crème donut. The only thing is that if you order 12 coffees like I did, they won't give you sugar or cream in a cup and make you fill and season your coffee there which takes a lot of time. They offer classic donuts, done really well. Staff here is wonderful. I asked one of them which donut they would prefer, and he said to try the chocolate buttermilk. Since then, the chocolate covered buttermilk has been one of my favorites.
