At the Gardena location, I tried the banchan crafted directly by Kim Young‑sook, a certified Korean culinary master, along with the chadol + samgyeopsal + nakji stir‑fry combo, kimchi stew, steamed egg, and cheese pancake. Her banchan are known for being: Never excessive Focused on the natural flavor of each ingredient Clean, balanced, and beautifully composed Served with a banchan cover that keeps everything protected and perfectly neat. Each dish feels like a quiet supporter that enhances the meat without ever overpowering it. Chadolbagi : The richness is unbeatable -- pure, clean beefy flavor. Samgyeopsal : A perfect match with aged kimchi. Truly a dream pairing. Nakji-bokkeum : Sweet, salty, and spicy all at once -- the kind of flavor that makes you reach for a spoonful of rice immediately. Cheese Pancake : Crispy outside, soft inside, with melted cheese wrapping around the green onions. Great texture between bites of meat. Kimchi Stew : The depth of aged kimchi comes through clearly -- not harsh, just clean and comforting. Steamed Egg : Soft, fluffy, and cloud‑like. Simple but perfect.

Fish Ma Soup - a complete miss! Very bland and lacking umami! Cold cut Appetizer - this was very flavorful. Each of the cold cut meat combination worked and had super umami flavor. I would order this again! Bok choy w/ Abalone and Mushroom - Decent flavor but not my favorite vegetable. Wish there was a bit more abalone. Fried Chicken - it wasn't fried chicken but it was Chinese style where the skin was super crispy. Skin was crispy but the chicken was super dry. A very hard eat. Peking Duck - overall the duck was small but it had a good combination of fat and meat. The chef did good job cutting around the bones. Only issue is the buns were kind of hard to open, most of time it broke trying to stuff the duck in lol. Steamed Fish Filet - this was decent. Fish wasn't fishy and had good flavor. Just a lot of bones.

I don't know why I took so long to try Noon since it's walking distance from me!…read more I know we have a lot of options when it comes to treats in the South Bay Area but Korean bingsoo is in a class of its own. For me, regular shaved ice usually lacks enough syrup or the ice is too hard. I'm such a wuss, I know, but I hate feeling like I overpaid for a cup of ice. It has been brutally hot and today seemed like a great day to have some shaved ice. The cafe is located in a Korean plaza on Western and 154th. Smoking Tiger coffee is also in the same plaza. The cafe is on the smaller side but there's lots of seating and you can take your orders to go if you want. It's cashless and you take your tray and trash to the counter once you're done. The menu has everything from fruity flavors to Asian flavors like hojicha and injeolmi to Cinnamon Toast crunch. You can get an individual size or larger size to share. The interior is minimalist with vintage-looking posters of the business. They have WiFi and complimentary water. We ordered matcha and mango flavored bingsoo. Both had a tall pile of ice with ample toppings and more syrup layered inside the ice which I think is an important very often overlooked step. I can't wait to return to try out more flavors!

I really appreciate that they offer both single-serve and sharing sizes--such a great option for groups! - Strawberry Bingsoo - Mango Bingsoo - Black Sesame Bingsoo - Matcha Bingsoo The fruit flavors were my favorites, especially the strawberry and mango. The black sesame and matcha were also tasty, with good flavor, but I personally preferred the refreshing fruit options. The shaved ice itself was good--light, layered flavor, and fluffy, The single-serve size was also a good portion for trying different flavors. The interior is simple and casual. You come in, place your order, and wait for your bingsoo to be prepared. Water and utensils are available for self-service, making everything easy and convenient. Overall, a nice spot for Korean bingsoo, especially if you want to try multiple flavors in one visit.

I also grew up eating them as they are very common at 7-11 or Family Mart convenience stores in Asia. I walked in Tokyo Central one Wednesday during lunch looking for some light bite before my acupuncture session. As I tried almost all vendors in the food court, this place is the only one left. It's located inside the market to the right , not at the small food court. You ordered and pay at the cashier with groceries. I ordered salmon (was thinking grilled salmon belly but I think I got regular salmon instead) and edamame. Both are really good. It's not the same as those pre-made ones in the fridge session, It's served as room temperature and the rice has huge difference. You have to try it for yourself! Price is very reasonable around $1.99-2.49 and the portion size is good. I also grabbed 2 pcs scallops sushi $3 and a UCC oolong tea that made my lunch at Tokyo central still under $10!

The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently good. One thing I really appreciate is the customer service. My kids all have complicated orders with lots of little changes, but Natalie was amazing. She made sure everything was entered correctly, and our order came out exactly the way we requested. From the moment we walked in, my family and I were greeted with big smiles by the entire staff. Even though the restaurant was busy, they still took the time to acknowledge us and make us feel welcome. That kind of service goes a long way. One of the reasons I've remained a loyal customer is the owner. Every now and then you'll see him jump behind the grill and work alongside his team. We all know how much owners have on their plates, but he steps in and helps with such a positive attitude. As a Latina, seeing him interact with his employees and even make an effort to speak Spanish reminds me of my parents. They always spoke highly of bosses who weren't afraid to roll up their sleeves, support their employees, and treat everyone with respect. Main Grill has earned my business over the years because they consistently serve great food and create a welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for delicious food and genuine customer service, I highly recommend giving them a try! - PS the Carne Asada tacos are Delicious and humongous
