We came here for dinner while visiting the area, and it ended up being one of the best meals of our trip. The restaurant was busy, which is usually a good sign, but we were seated much sooner than expected. Everyone greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome from the start. Every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. The ingredients tasted fresh, the flavors were well balanced, and everything arrived at the perfect temperature. You could really tell that attention was given to both presentation and quality. We also appreciated the generous portions. What impressed me even more was how attentive the staff was throughout our visit. They were polite, efficient, and made sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it. We were driving all day and found this place for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices when we got there, very affordable. When the food came, however, only disappointment followed. It started with them being out of the only thing I wanted, but I found other things. Those other things were all ruined in some way or another. The pretzel was the only thing that was decent was the pretzel and beer cheese, but I wonder if it was frozen and just had to be heated up anyway. The tomato soup was also a hit with my son. Very small serving, so small my 6 year old needed a second bowl, and complained that he was hungry when he was done. My other son got the poke bowl which was also such a small serving that he was still hungry. He said it was alright, but he wouldn't choose to have it again. This kid LOVES poke so that really says something. I got a side salad and the ranch tasted rancid, so I got another dressing they had, which was also disappointing and ruined my salad I left behind. There were more mishaps, but ultimately, the meal ended up costing more than it was worth, and everybody was hungry when we left. The only thing that was actually tasty was the crème brûlée. This might be a good place to come for drinks, but I would not recommend this place for food. This was a $90 meal that was worth about $5. I wish I had my time back. We will not be going back. Loaded crispy potato waffle had sour cream, bacon, green onions, and cheddar cheese on top. It was good. This menu was right up our alley. We were looking for something not fried, not burgers and not pizza and this was it! The shrimp bowl left a little to be desired because it was just the sweet Thai chili sauce poured over the shrimp that drenched the rice , but after I added the greens from my salad, it was delicious. My sister loved her blueberry salad with fennel. The harvest bowl with chicken was also very good. The kids enjoyed the Korean beef bulgogi bowl. Wow, pleasantly surprised at the great options for healthy items and beer at this restaurant inside a climbing establishment. Or, maybe I shouldn't be surprised because this place looks and feel amazing as soon as you walk in. There are so many options for climbing for kids and adults that you can have hours of fun here and top it off with a great meal. The UTE restaurant opened at 5pm and has a good happy hour (I did not partake). They have big selection of craft and non-alcoholic beers, so anyone in the party will be happy. There is a monthly food special and so many vegan, vegetarian, and meat -eating options on the menu that, again, you can bring anyone here and they will find something they will like. They had healthy kids menu too! I had the cranberry pistachio salad and it was so good that I ate it very quickly. My brother had ramen and my SIL had a mac and cheese. Our server was over often to refill our water and make sure we had enough silverware (or replace anything the kids dropped on the floor). I would highly recommend The UTE! read more

I can't believe I never checked out this spot while I was living downtown. I always ran by it thinking it was just a climbing gym, and had no idea that there was a restaurant and bar in it! The prices are fair for food and drinks. They have a variety of craft brews, kombucha, and wine! I got a Thai Peanut Buddha Bowl with tofu which exceeded my expectations. Everything about it was awesome! I asked for extra spinach, and it was the perfect amount. I love that they shredded it instead of just giving me the typical big leaves. The combination of ingredients and flavors were fantastic. I also got a dry cider, made in Colorado Springs! Love the vibe, love the staff, love the food and drinks! What a very interesting place! The café/bar is attached to a climbing wall facility. The host/server greeted me and, as per the standing sign, I seated myself. They serve her/host came over with water, and asked if I needed a menu to which I replied, yes. He handed me a barcode card after asking if I could use it. Since I am fairly tech savvy, I took it and looked at the menu, I asked for some ice tea, but all they had was canned. They also had a variety of beers, but I am not a beer drinker. I asked the young man what kind of sweet siders or wine drinks he had. He told me he had a very good sweet cider on tap, so I ordered that. Plus, it was happy hour, so I got a dollar off. I decided that the Roman sounded good, and after chatting with the server/host, decided to have it with the pulled pork added. Everything came very quickly, and the food was wonderful! The Seiter was delicious. The pulled pork Ramin was very very good, I look forward to taking my husband and son to the Ute! read more

I had a hard time finding this place initially until I realized that it was part of a rock climbing place. I wasn't expecting that but the place had a cool vibe. In fact some of the tables had a view of the rock climbing walls. The staff seemed very friendly. My food came out quickly. Also when I was finished eating the check was promptly received. No complaints. I ordered the meaty flatbread. It was okay. Definitely nothing to write home about. To me it tasted like a store bought flatbread with ingredients thrown on top. THIS IS A MUST GO! Being completely honest, when my husband and I first saw it on Yelp we thought it was a nicer restaurant and we showed up to what seemed like a rock climbing cafe. We looked and each other and almost left but due to peak dinner time decided to stay as we were starving....boy did we judge a book by its cover! After a great evening hike I was really hungry and this place came up in my yelp search with except reviews. We walked in and they were closing the kitchen. We were going to find someplace else but the bar tender said to hold on. He went and check with the kitchen and they said we could order food. Yippee! I got the meat flat bread pizza and it was amazing. Just the right amount of food. I also ordered a spiked kombucha with ginger a lemon that was very tasty. My husband and I boulder in Denver, so when we realized that the Ute & Yeti was actually part of a climbing gym, that was a huge plus! Basically if we ever move to Colorado Springs, we would probably eat at the Ute & Yeti everyday we go climbing. What an awesome convenience! We were really hungry this day, we ordered the lettuce cups with garlic-ginger chicken and the vegetable chili for appetizers, both of which were delicious. My husband ordered the Alex Honnold bowl and I ordered the slow cooked pork tacos. The Honnold bowl was so delicious! Although my tacos were good, I was really jealous of my husband's bowl. Perfect mix of quinoa, chips, beans, spinach, and of course green chili! I wish I had ordered the green chili tacos, because the green chili was so yummy! With my husband having celiac sprue, we were definitely very pleased with all of the Ute & Yeti's gluten-free options. For dessert, we got the P-nut Butta Pie which was so creamy, rich, and delicious. Love how they angled the slice like a crag slab as well. Split a flatbread - it had chicken and quac on it - loved it - thin and crispy! Then I got the ramen bowl with chicken, which was delish. They put extra chili paste on the side so you can make it spicier. Nice beer selection and loads of menu items that sounded great including lots of options for vegan or vegetarians.
