I've been wanting to try Happy House again since moving back to the area, so I decided to give it a shot this week. When I walked in, the guy working was sitting at the front counter and looked genuinely disappointed that he had to get up. I figured maybe that was just a rough moment and it would pass once I greeted him and asked if their lasagna was made in house. Instead, I got a smirk, a fake smile, and a quick "yes." Encouraged by that glowing endorsement, I ordered the in-house made lasagna and a medium cheese pizza. Once I got home, I took two bites of the lasagna and couldn't tell if it was actually made in house with absolutely no seasoning whatsoever, or if it was pulled straight from a freezer and reheated. Either way, it was impressively bland. The pizza wasn't much better. It was light on sauce, light on flavor, and required me to add my own spices just to make it taste like something. For $29 for lasagna and a medium cheese pizza, I expected at least one of the two items to have some flavor. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

Today, 9/8/2024, I placed an order with UBEREATS for a 2 Sub/Pizza Special includes 2 can sodas, 2 fries ($29.99), a separate Cheese sub, with hot peppers, lettuce & tomatoes 9" with fries listed in instructions. Well, one sub was omitted, my parmigian sub was hard & not tasty at all cheese was dried up, plus no extra fries given. When I called to complain about missing items, the man said we are very busy, WHAT! They can make a sub & I can pick it up. No I am not, I paid for delivery service. I don't care about them being busy I paid out $60.51, for an incomplete delivery order. Bad way of doing business. I did receive a refund on missing sub. Was this due to a football game that the order was rushed & messy??? read more

Prices incorrect. How can we trust your food if you can't even honor and keep your prices what they are advertised. Oh this such and such pizza is only 11.99 ! except when you get there they want 15.50. Guess what, i won't be back for that experience lol. So i tried the place by ordering a basic xlarge cheese pizza to test out the future order waters. Crust was bland and basic, sauce practically non existent, and the cheese was average. This would have been a basic ok pizza for the advertised price of 11.99, but for 15? no sorry. I'll stick to dominos across the street. read more

My cousin and I got cheeseburger sub combos for carryout. The subs were a nice size and really good; the rolls were particularly fresh and tasty. Fries were a step above standard, because they were well cooked and stayed crisp until we got them home. My cousin liked her jalapeño poppers a lot. We thought we got a lot of good food for a very reasonable price. My cousin said the pizzas looked good, too. This was my first visit but won't be my last. read more

Got pizza delivered. Toppings were good. Wife thought the crust was a bit chewy for her preference, so not sure if we'll get the pizza again. Subs and pasta look good though. The owner told me they don't believe in wearing masks and don't have to and that's why they have boxes lined up so you can't see over the counter. When I said I don't want my pizza because none of them have masks they refused to give me my card back and threatened to call the cops. After the owner cussing me out I just paid for the pizza and left. Horrible experience! Also saw many bugs around the counter where the pizzas are being cut. read more

Subs are HUGE, a large is a 14 inch. As the owner told me, he makes subs the way he likes subs, huge, with lots of toppings. The pizza is pretty good as well, but try to stick with light sauce, they tend to use a little much. read more

Terrible service. Ordered 14" Cheesesteak with extra meat and extra cheese. Paid for extras. The sub had NO cheese at all on it and it was smothered in chopped onion. A ridiculous amount. Called and spoke to manager. He refused to refund my order and refused to even remake it. Not even refund the money i paid for extra cheese. Order was $26 with a soft drink and delivery charge. He only offered me $5 off my next order but wouldnt email or send me coupon to confirm. Totally unacceptable. Waste of money. Couldnt eat but a few bites of sub. It was disgusting. read more

I ordered Happy House every Friday with my friends when I lived in Davidsonville. We found this place because it was one of the few spots that delivered to my house that wasn't some commercialized pizza joint. Over the course of a year or two we must've ordered at least 80 times! The pizza is awesome! I'm coming to visit Maryland in a week and I can't wait to come back to my FAVORITE pizza restaurant. My favorite is their lasagna. It's a big fat bowl of cheese and also the one thing that remains consistent when I order. I usually order a green pepper and onion pizza. Sometimes it's a white pizza and sometimes it's regular cheese pizza with those toppings. Either way it's good, just weird that its made differently each time. read more

Don't go here. At my job we ordered wings for lunch and other items and they were horrrible, inedible. The wings were greasy and old tasting. So when a coworker went back to tell them that the food was not good, before she even spoke they said to her "oh wow, here we go you are one of those angry Blacks right?". She is a sweet little 5 foot angel and is very kind and polite. So when she told them the chicken was hard and greasy, they called her the B word and said some people like their wings hard and greasy. She was very upset and everyone at my work place was pretty pissed that someone would treat her that way. I just would not trust the food of someone who would talk to their customers that way, it just makes me wonder what they are doing behind the scenes. Best steak and cheese subs around--but, place looks so dirty inside. Windows need cleaning and faded signage removed or replaced. It is so disorganized inside with stuff laying around all over the place. It is quite a turnoff. You can do better. Customers deserve better. .Please consider my recommendations to clean up. This place rocks. Best take out pizza around in my book. Super friendly as well. I went there for the first time recently on the advice of a friend and the food was perfectly prepared. Love the crust and dough they use. Good sauce too. While I was waiting the guys took my info and agreed to deliver to my neighborhood in Annapolis. Wow!!! First time there and they made me feel like a regular of 20 years. Do yourself a favor and head to Edgewater for pizza. Nothing in Annapolis can compare. read more

ooooh. maybe i got the luck of the draw (or unluck) but my food was worse than my worst. i ordered spaghetti and meatballs. i will give them an A+ for effort because the container was chock full of noodles, sauce, meatballs and a generous portion of garlic bread. however, the meatballs were commercial, the sauce was a weak willed marinara with too little salt or flavoring, the noodles soggy, and the bread covered with a fake garlic butter. i made the mistake of ordering two entrees so that i could save it for another night but i could barely get through the first 1/3 of my first one so into the trash they both went. too bad.
