Crispy grilled rockfish over linguine with baby scallops in a light tomato sauce. The special included a salad and garlic bread. Five diners seated next to me had the linguine de mare - mussels, clams, calamari and shrimp. Looked equally appealing. Always enjoy great seafood dishes here at a great price. read more

Though they have slices available, please do yourself a favor and order a small pie. Sauce to cheese ratio is balanced savory deliciousness and requests such as the style or browning of the crust is honored. Garlic knots are butter herbed to perfection (and soft). Their service is prompt and polite. Finding a safe parking spot that doesn't result in squeezing between everyone double parked might be an issue Friday evenings or the weekend. Started with the fried Calamari, which where great! The calamari size was much larger than what you'd get at chain restaurants and they weren't overly fried. I got the penne primavera, it tasted delicious, vegetables were also well made. Truly tasted like a homemade meal. My partner got a slice of the cheese, pepperoni & veggie pizza which were also very good and much better compared to chain pizza parlors. I ordered the chicken Original Cheesesteak. It was very good and flavorful 9.5/10. It comes with fries. The fries were very soft (which I like) but they fidnt have any seasoning. After I added some Oldbay and they were perfect! I also ordered Chicken Wings (yes I know I'm fat) but they were just okay, 7/10. The wings come with celery. Also, don't mind the pictures, I started eating before I took the pictures. We've already established I'm fat. Little Italy is the type of gem you hope you find when you're taking a chance on Yelp. I had never heard anything about if prior to coming, and was completely sold off of how good the food looked on the app. When we pulled up, it didn't take long to figure out we were onto something. The puile of garlic knots behind the counter let me know that I was right were I needed to be. My daughter got a slice, and I got fettuccine bolognese. We also tried the wings, and knots. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to come back and try some more of the menu. They weren't packed, but had a constant stream of people picking up while we dined in. You can tell that the people who know about this spot love it, and It's easy to see why. read more

Little Italy of Annapolis is a diamond amid a whole bunch of frogs. Tucked off a major artery going to Baltimore, this gem is truly one to visit. The place is really clean and the tables are really beautiful-- hell, even the men's room was immaculately, cleaned. When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by someone--in my case it was a nice guy. His smile was like super. Then you're brought to your table and the waitress she took no time at all to give us all of our drinks asking us if there's any extra thing that we wanted. When our food came, the servers were so respectful and knowledgeable about how to serve people where to stand how not to be intrusive it seems as though they were are all trained at a five star restaurant, and I was really impressed by this. Mom got the veal parmigiana and dad and I shared the chicken Florentine that was so over the top wonderful tasty begging for each bite that I smiled until my jaw hurt. It's so nice to see my parents relax, when they smile and they're relaxed I know we had a home run. Little Italy of Annapolis made that possible. Ive only been a few times so far for take-out pizza slices which are excellent. Service is mixed. The first time the guy reheating left them in for a long time while doing other things. Another time I could've even get anyone to take my order. A half dozen people were idle who saw me waiting but I guess the one guy who is in charge of "take out" ordering was busy and nobody pitched in to help. I also tried the ham, cheese and ricotta calzone which is just how I remember it, but a third the size it is supposed to be. So small. Maybe this comes in two sizes and they only had the little one out. There is a nice dine-in option, some refrigerated Italian grocery items, and a lot of wine. Looking forward to coming back again to dine in house, enjoy some red wine, and check out their casual restaurant experience. read more

When I'm in the mood for pizza, there are three places I choose from. Fox's, Vin, and Little Italy. If I want a traditional New York style pizza, this is the one I choose. They were cheery and flavorful and lovingly dunked in butter. I got the penne arabbiata and it was so yummy! Al dente pasta with a slightly spicy tomato sauce and two pieces of garlic bread. So happy that my friend who is local recommended this place because everything from the cheesesteak and Stromboli were on point! Upon entry, I was greeted by the cashier. He was really helpful & provided great customer service. He answered my questions & gave me recommendations. I ended up ordering two slices of pizza and an order of garlic knots. The smallest order is three knots. Let's start with these garlic knots. As soon as I opened the container the smells just hit me. All that garlicky, yummy goodness was overwhelming in the best way. OMG! I ordered an extra marinara sauce because I'm a saucy kind a girl. The garlic knots remind me of a cinnamon roll because of the way they are shaped and layered. Not typical of most garlic knots that I've had but still very good. The cashier told me that the veggie pizza was his favorite and it might just be my favorite now too. It's one of the best veggie pizzas I've had in a while in terms of the flavor. I don't know if they season the vegetables or if it's just from the sauce and the cheese but it just has a really nice flavor to it. It doesn't just taste like raw veggies on pizza. There was spinach, mushrooms, broccoli, red onions, roasted red peppers, and it just tasted really good together. I wish I could've gotten two slices but there was only one left. My other slice of pizza was the supreme pizza. It had pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions. This was good too, no complaints. Overall a pretty good meal. I think I'll be back to Little Italy to grab some slices and some garlic knots in the near future. read more

BLUF: Best pizza and calzones I've found on Forest Ave. It's now my go-to for pie. Salads are good too and large enough to split. Crust is perfect, the sauce just right not too sweet or tart, and the right among of good quality cheese. You can't go wrong with the Monday pizza discount special and a salad to go. Edit: Upon seeing this review in a local neighborhood group, one of their employees proceeded to lie about what happened and claim that I was yelling at the employee. After someone else vouched that I didn't do that, he then changed his story and claimed something else. This is the worst treatment I've ever had at a restaurant. Having an employee lie about a customer on social media is revolting. Be warned, check your food at Little Italy. My wife ordered mussels and linguine. I got there, had them verbally confirm the order as "mussels and linguine." I drive all the way back home to find that they gave me a container of mussels, no pasta. I drive the 15min back to the store to get it replaced. When I showed the person at the counter, she said she made a mistake and was replacing it. I asked for my money back and she said, dead serious, "I can't refund you, I'm already replacing it for free" as if replacing the wrong order was something they normally would have charged money for. I ask to speak to the manager, but no one on the site had the authority to make decisions and the manager was out. So, now I'm out 40min of my time + the cost of gas and I still need to spend more time to call the manager to try and get some money back for a careless mistake that should have been dealt with on the spot. This was incredibly unprofessional and a huge waste of my time. Given Spizzico closed, I was really disappointed to have such an awful experience with Little Italy. I'll be driving the extra distance for Pasticcio from now on. read more

we had food from this place for the first time today, so tried a few dishes ... the eggplant parm was terrible -- it was not purged before cooking so it was bitter and slimy (so much for the person who rated as 5 star) ... the meatballs were not 'house made', they were rubbery and tasted like every other factory meatball -- meatballs are easy to make so there is no excuse ... the pasta al forno had an odd taste (maybe they used marsala in the sauce) ... the square pizza needed more sauce and maybe more time for the crust to rise -- the crust was stiff and the pizza was bland ... the regular crust pizza was just okay -- they claim ny style bu the crust is way too thick and floppy ... the stromboli (pepperoni and sausage0 was the best thing we ordered -- good crust and cooked well with the right amount of filling ... the gnocchi carbonara is a disgrace -- the gnocchi were dense and overcooked, the sauce was made with bacon instead of panceta and the bacon overwhelmed the flavor ... the garlic bread was bitter (overcooked garlic) --- who srews up garlic bread? ... i do not know who the people who gave all the 4 and 5 star ratings are, but if the food they ate was like the food we had, then those people should have their tastebuds checked ... read more

Well I went back a second time to give them another try since reviews were so good. I was not disappointed in the least. This time I ordered the eggplant parm lunch special which came with spaghetti tossed with tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese. It was excellent. i would have loved it even more if there was more eggplant and less pasta. also ordered the cheesesteak supreme sub and it was loaded with chopped ribeye and cheese and was such a huge sub with french fries, it ended up being two meals for me. prices are very reasonable and staff is friendly and helpful. read more

Our daughter, who lives in Annapolis, recently discovered Little Italy. We recently went to visit her to celebrate her birthday early and got carry-out from there. The restaurant is small and clean and the counter person was friendly and helpful. At our daughter's recommendation we ordered a plain cheese pizza, a white pizza, garlic knots, and 2 salads. The cheese pizza was delicious, the crust thin and tasty, the sauce was perfect, not sweet and not to acidic, and there was just the right amount of cheese. Rich and Jen loved the white pizza so I had to try it. For me there was way too much garlic, part of why the others loved it! I passed the white pizza to Rich and took half a piece of the plain instead. After tasting the white pizza I was reluctant to try the garlic knots but they looked good and the other two ate them with a lot of enthusiasm. The salads were good and fresh with rather standard Italian restaurant toppings. I'm pretty sure when we visit Jen next time we will be ordering the two pizzas and garlic knots again, though they have have an extensive menu, including appetizers, sides, salads, soups, pastas, casseroles, and entrees. They cater and have some week day specials; Monday pizza for $8.99; Tuesday add second entree for $5.00; and every weekday lunch of pizza or soup with side salad and soda for $7.99; or 2 pizza slices with soda for $8.49. This is the second pizza place we've tried near Jen and both have been delicious. I feel like we should try more seafood in Annapolis, but the pizza near Jen is pretty irresistible. I just wish we had more little Italian bistro-style restaurants near us. read more

I get there and they look at me like I have three heads. Nobody to communicate English with. Eventually Said someone already came and picked up the order. "Just wait we'll start your order." It has a creamy marinara, almost like a vodka sauce. It made it super unique and all of our guests raved about it. I also ordered pizzas and the Greek salad. The pizzas were melt-in-your-mouth good. The salad was so fresh... and the dressing was to die for. I had a third helping of the salad. We fed 15 people and had MANY leftovers. Enough to enjoy again for days. Just a typical Italian restaurant. My grandmother and I ordered the veggie pizza and added sausage to it and got a side of the meatballs. We ordered via phone and it took about 25 minutes to make. The meatballs were excellent and very rich. However, the pizza was not very flavorful, and the marinara sauce was not fresh (probably came from a can). I was happy to see though that this business had clearly marked footprints for people to wait in line and be 6-ft apart. The inside was pretty clean too. read more

Another great pizza spot! This little place tucked in next to Brusters on Forest Dr was delicious. We had the square (pan) large supreme pizza. The toppings were fresh, the mozzarella was gooey and perfectly baked and the sauce had a subtle flavor but one of fresh tomatoes. The box was so heavy me at 6', 190 lbs almost dropped it twice leaving the restaurant. They also serve NY-style which I'm eager to try too. I imagine their pastas are great but can't speak on that yet. Will keep you updated! read more
