We discovered Milano pizza when we moved into the Arden community. We opted for carry out, but they do deliver within our community. As one of the first impressions of our new neighborhood, I was very pleased. The owner was incredibly friendly and even carried my pizzas to my car for me. The pizza is comparable to the average delivery pizza, however, I would say it is best when eaten fresh after pick up. It was OK the following day, but definitely not one of my favorite leftover pizzas. That being said, we have also gotten their subs and my husband has had their fried chicken and he loved it. Their portions for other items on their menu were large and provided leftovers. Next time you are next-door picking up a six pack, considered getting a pizza from Milano to go with it! read more

Update: after 6 calls and lots of fighting we finally got our order delivered and it was delicious and hot. I'm just upset with the driver for obviously lying about the original delivery. They make about the best pepperoni pizza in the area and I've tried them all. Even when it gets cold, just pop it in the oven for a couple minutes on broil and it's like it was just made. They're very friendly and positive there. There is definitely a language barrier but in a couple years, they've only made one mistake on an order I placed for pickup. My only complaint is that the billed price (including tax) is commonly higher than expected by several dollars. I've noticed the cashier will ask if you want a receipt but will not give you the itemized copy (which would show there the extra money went". They only give you the total. We tend to get subs and pizza, and we're not disappointed. We also get desserts, my kids love splitting a slice of chocolate cake. They're also super friendly. Based on the fact if you really rate something from absolute worst, to the best you have ever had, well then the worst to me would be if you ordered a pizza and it comes out covered in Ebola and served by hairy greasy convicted sex offenders wearing assless chaps. Let me tell you something, when you get your pizza and open up the box and see butter garlic sauce(which I do like, when I'm wasted) it is not a good sign. We went to this place after a recommendation from a friend. She was right- fantastic pizzas. Even the plain cheese pizza was tasty! It has a unique flavor that makes this pizza stand out from the rest. We ordered a pizza for delivery and it came in the timframe they said- 20 minutes. A few evenings later, we stopped to pick up dinner- veal parmigiana, lamb gyro platter, chicken tenders for the kids-- all of which were also very tasty! The fries were kind of dry, but we normally don't eat a lot of those anyway. We were happy to be discouraged from eating them. :) To too it off, the person who took our order gave us each a free drink to enjoy while we waited on our order!! Milano is a good pizza place tucked away next to Waterbury Liquor. The service is always fast, food is always ready in less than 20 minutes. It is family own which is nice. Fries are always crispy. Salads are large. White pizza is great. Cheese ravioli is delicious. All portions are generous sized. Highly recommend checking them out. read more

Outside is a little run down, and the parking can be a nightmare due to it being right next to a liquor store. There is also a table outside if you want to eat there, truly it is a take out or delivery only shop. But if you can get past the outside shell of the location it is quite the pizza place. This is a private owned pizza place, reminds me of a true Italian pizza shop. The staff, which i believe actually may be family, are friendly and welcoming. We order from this place on a regular . We live across the steeet. I normally get delivered because I have a disabled child who needs to remain home if possible right now. The main reason I love this place is because the owner is so nice and really puts his hearts to tbis establishment. He is there arojnd the clock and always offers us cake if we do visit . He treats my daughter like he knows her and she just adores him. But the food!!! The pizza is amazing and this is what we get mostly. I have had subs and they are the best also. My husband gets a meatball sub a lot and loves them a lot. I got a crabcake once and wasn't impressed . It's an Italian place so I wasn't surprised. We will always be a customer here even tho we are moving away in a month we will venture out here . It's well worth it and you won't be disappointed. I placed my first ever order through slice for this pizza place. We made our order which included a large vegetarian pizza which listed it's ingredients as follows mushrooms, tomato's, green pepper, onion and olives. I add Italian sausage and I place our order thinking I knew exactly what kind of pizza I'm getting. The pizza gets here and it's loaded with banana peppers. There is absolutely no mention of it in the app menu or online menu. I absolutely detest banana peppers so I contact the store. I speak to the manager who is not listening to anything I am saying. I ask for her to listen as she isn't hearing what I'm saying and she proceeds to hang up on me. I call back asking for the owners number as I wasn't being rude and wanted to know how they could fix the pizza. She proceeds to yell at me and say she doesn't need customers like me who just make trouble. If me saying they did not deliver on their own menu items is trouble then they should not be in business. She refused to give me the owners number and hung up on me again. To say I am livid to be treated with absolute disrespect is an understatement. To be treated so abhorrently is unacceptable. spending our money at a place to turn around treat me like that is disgusting. I've never ordered from them before and I will never again. I have ordered from this place about 4 times and every time the food is amazing! The fried chicken is one of the best I've ever had and the onions rings are delicious. Not only is the food good, but the service is great. The first time I ordered someone called to let me know that they didn't have cheese and wanted to know if that was okay. Another time, they called my mom and asked if she wanted dark or white meat for her wings. My mom and I are planning on trying the pizza tonight, and are extremely excited. Ive gotten decent takeout from here before but the last few times have been really disappointing! Twice they got our delivery order completely wrong. I live nearby so thought I'd grab something for lunch. I ordered hot wings, a cheesesteak and fries. First off I picked up the order only 10 mins after I ordered ( I literally live 5mins away) and it was already cold. The fries looked old and they looked like the leftover fries that had been sitting for a while. All the little crunchy ends left in the pan. The cheesesteak was cold and the cheese was just laid on the bun instead of actually melted on the meat. I had to microwave it ! Plus I had to add my own lettuce because there was hardly any on it. Both that and the fries tasted like old grease. So disappointing! The wings were also cold and the skin was slimy instead of crunchy. Im pretty sure they were old too! They did give me a free soda which was nice because it was the best thing in the whole lunch. I ended up throwing most of it away plus the $20 it cost me. Then they hunted around, found the receipt that had my order and it was clear they had not even begun to cook it (I ordered 45 minutes earlier). 15 minutes later I got my food. Got home and opened the pizza box. Frozen pizza looks more appetizing. Tasted like cardboard with cheese. Tasted cheap. I had pepperoni and sausage on it. Super thin pepperoni and tiny bits of sausage. Tasteless meats. The wings were OK, but they did not send blue cheese, carrots, celery. Really? This is the only place in the Gaithersburg/Germantown area that I've found that comes anywhere close to a good New York slice of pizza.

I wanted to surprise my boyfriend by having pizza and French fries delivered to him at work. We don't live in that area, so I went off of a recommendation from someone who lives there. I ordered online at 12:29 and set it up to be delivered at 1:15. I paid online and tipped 20%. There was a section for delivery instructions. I asked that the driver ask for my boyfriend specifically to make sure he got it. I sent him a text around 1:30 to see how his pizza was and he had no idea what I was talking about. I then called the restaurant and was told the driver had just left and the order should be there any minute. My boyfriend text me back a few minutes later and said his coworkers were eating the pizza and fries because they had no idea who ordered the pizza because the driver didn't ask for anyone when the pizza was dropped off. Luckily there was still some left for him. I called the restaurant and asked to speak with a manager or owner. The response I received was, "Huh?" I repeated myself and the person said that no one was there. I asked when someone would be and the person said they had no idea and that they aren't usually there on the weekends. The person never asked if there was anything he could do about why I was calling. I said thank you and that I'd try to call back on Monday and then I was hung up on. All of the reviews for this restaurant are great. Apparently the food that was delivered was good. I understand that sometimes restaurants just have off days. Charged the wrong amount to my credit card and only returned part of the wronged amount. The delivery driver came into my garage and then asked me 4 times about a cash tip.
