Literally my fave boba spot, so good that we had it catered at our wedding. So glad this location finally opened up. It's in a strip mall that's easily accessible and parking is never an issue. We came for the grand opening and it was packed but I've returned quite a few times randomly in the afternoon and it's been somewhat empty but always fast and efficient. My faves are always milk tea with salted cheese , it's got the perfect blend of milk to tea and that salted cheese on top is sooo good! I also love their fruit teas at 50 percent sweet, it's perfect and it's usually a perfect blend of fruit to tea. Oh yeah mango yakult smoothie is a fave but it's too sweet at 100, so get it at 30 to 50% and it's perfect!!! I have visited this location several times and have refrained from writing a review on my frequent negative experiences here but am now writing one because of today's incident. The drinks here taste good but expect most days to wait 15-30 minutes for your drink if you order inside. Several times I have been one of less than 5 customers in store but have waited 25+ minutes because the baristas will always make the onlines first on bar even if theres only a few people in the store. Today specifically (5/20) I was waiting at the counter to ask for my mobile order, a male worker with messy hair and glasses told me he would be right with me next and went to change his gloves. When he comes back he goes ahead and asks two new people who JUST came in if they came for pick up and then proceeded to help them first? Not sure how he forgot about me when it was literally just 30 seconds but whatever I guess. Im not sure what they prioritize over here in this store but too often it is inconvenient of an experience just to order. Seems chaotic and disorganized with the baristas frequently scrambling to put people's orders togethether. They seem understaffed everytime I visit by having only two workers working both register and drinks (sometimes 3 on the weekend), leaving the 2 baristas struggling to keep up with the pace of orders incoming. TLDR: Food and Drink: 4/5 Service and Wait Times: 2/5 I have waited over 30 minutes 3 separate times in the last few visits at this location. read more

As a regular customer here at this location, I am disappointed by the service I received yesterday (7/1/24 approximately around 7:30PM). I've been coming here for the past couple months, at least almost once a week, always ordering the same thing: oreo milk tea with salted cheese and boba. The picture on the left is the drink I got yesterday (after mixing) and the picture on the right (left drink) is usually how my drink is made and how I like it. Despite specifying my preferences, the girl with glasses who took our order said that we didn't include the "puff cream" upon ordering. I explained to her that my drink usually always comes with it even without ordering the puff cream. I've been to several Happy Lemon locations and not once was my drink made to look like this. It wasn't as busy and she did not bother to offer to fix my drink. Very frustrating to pay for a drink that doesn't match my usual expectations. Welcome to Vacaville, Happy Lemon! My fiancé and I were beyond excited to hear that a Happy Lemon was opening on this side of the bay area. Happy lemon is one of our primary Boba spots when visiting the cities that has happy lemon like Berkeley, San Francisco, or San Jose. My fiancé and I came on the grand opening (September 17th, 2022) with a huge line that extended down to Roland's which is a Filipino spot also located in Vacaville. The line surprisingly went by super quick. This location has by far the biggest indoor seating compared to any other happy lemon we have been to. It honestly looks like a super cool spot to chill at although it would be nice if they had a TV or two that had some movies or indoor sports playing for people who want to just hang out. During their grand opening, they were offering Bogo deals for up to four drinks per person. My primary go to drink is the Mango Matcha smoothie with light Boba or the classic milk tea with salted cheese. The mango matcha is described just how it sounds! It's a frozen blended matcha drink with mango bits in every sip. I like to add light Boba to get more of the smoothie. The milk tea with salted cheese is a classic which I believe happy lemon is primarily popular for. There are other Boba places that offer salted cheese, but happy lemon has by far the best tasting and consistency. I would 10 out of 10 recommend a mango matcha on any given day because it's super refreshing and taste amazing. We also tried the Oreo bubble waffle which tasted delicious. It's a sweet unique snack that very few places offer. Overall this location seems like a super chill place and I couldn't be any more happier of a happy lemon in Vacaville! Service at Happy Lemon is a hit or miss. I had a few issues when ordering via telephone. There seems to be a miscommunication with the workers. I had my drink remade at least 2-3 times since going there. Staff could work on their customer service skills and communication. They alway seem to have different staff working and maybe not enough training. The place is overall clean and nice. There are usually customers hanging around in the seating area which is nice. First off the staff here is great and the drinks are great, but man the problem with the AC is absolutely insane. The AC has been broken or according to the staff "it's actually on, but it doesn't work well." The working conditions here are so bad. I feel bad for the workers as they sweat away all day as it's literally 100 degrees inside the store. I've seen people walk in and immediately out not wanting to deal with the heat inside (it's literally hard to breath). Management has put fans inside but it's just pushing hot air around. This can't be healthy and should be fixed ASAP. You'd get more comfortable workers and customers do the right thing. read more

I've always really liked Happy Lemon and their salted cheese drinks, but man...I have never visited a Happy Lemon store that is so hot inside that it feels like you can't even breathe. The employees are always working hard, but I feel so bad for them as they're doing so in an establishment with no AC in the city of Vacaville, which gets upwards of 95 degrees during the summer time :(. Do you know how hot it gets inside due to this?! Crazy! I'd love to enjoy my drink but it's hard to when I see the employees absolutely sweating and struggling of, what it looks to be, terrible heat exhaustion. The indoor temperature of the store is definitely violating some workplace health codes in many aspects for workers and customers. This Happy Lemon is number 2609 globally. There is a nice ambiance and vibe in this drink shop. There are some decent amount of seating, but it seems that most people are doing take-out. They can be pretty busy as there was a steady flow of customers on a Sunday evening around 8pm. I think this is a pretty popular place for drinks as there always seems to be 4-5 people waiting to order and also a 4-5 people waiting to get their order. I notice they stop taking orders briefly periodically to catch up with getting the orders out faster. Staff can be a little more friendly, but were not rude (probably just tired and overworked by this time of they say on Sunday). What sets this place apart from the other drink/tea shops that sell the popular boba drinks is that they have specialty drinks that has fresh lemon and other fresh fruits, plus they also sell Bubble Waffles. It was pretty comparable to other Happy Lemons in the Bay Area. The staff was nice, however, they were very slow and uncoordinated. We ordered online and the expected pickup time was 5:05pm. Have only tried the milk teas here, and so far have good things to say. I ask for reduced sugar, and even the 1/4 sweet option at some places are too sweet but I found that 1/2 sweet option here is a sweet spot for me. The staff are pretty friendly, though service can get a little delayed for costumers in the building since they get consistent mobile orders.
