A lot of folks come in all at once so staff are really working as fast as they can. I got a mango matcha and interestingly it's topped with a scoop of matcha ice cream. I personally prefer it on the side maybe? Cuz it's kinda hard to eat the ice cream on top of a drink. The matcha is on the milky and creamy side (it's not good or bad just depends on what you like). I normally like their food and drinks. Today was the first time I hated my drink (crème brûlée Oreo milk tea) and also hated my son's drink (watermelon lychee green tea with added lychee chunks and added popping boba). Also this time they were very busy and it was cold, so I waited in my car. That was a big mistake because apparently the notice that your order is done doesn't come immediately when your order is actually ready. My chicken was ice cold and my drinks had been sitting there. So now I know, gotta pay attention to the drink status and now I also know there's only a few of their drinks I actually like. I don't like any of their drinks with slimy/gloopy additions. These are my drinks that I really love: - pomelo mango - tenghulu yogurt - matcha strawberry and matcha mango - sticky rice milk tea (no boba) - runner up is the coco mango cloud drink (ordered without mochi) - the pistachio chocolate drink is ok if you love everything Dubai chocolate - I hated the taro milk tea and anything with slimey additions Their food is only ok. I really liked their popcorn chicken the first time I had it and it was piping hot and they had the basil leaves. Since then I have never seen it come with the basil again and it has never been as good (too salty, moist/greasy and doesn't taste as good if they don't get it to you hot). I got the takoyaki and it's not good at all. The fish balls are ok and the fries ok and the sausages were my favorite (even though it's too expensive for two mini sausages). So this is a too long post just to say they basically this shop is just mediocre and I'll still come back but it's very expensive and there's hits and misses. I was in the area and decided to stop by here. It's in a huge shopping center so there's plenty of parking. You walk in the menu is really big on the wall and there's kiosk. I don't really order milk teas as much but the peach oolong milk tea is always a fave for me and it's definitely not too sweet even at 50 percent sweet. Their popcorn chicken is actually pretty crispy and flavorful as well, it's one of the better popcorn chickens I've had at a boba spot! I tried the Taro Latte w/Coconut Pudding. I haven't had a taro drink with coconut before; I've usually only seen it as a milk tea at most places, so this was a welcome difference. I really enjoyed the drink, especially because it had little taro chucks in the drink too. If you try their Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea, it includes ice cream as well! It's served in a cute bear cup. However, the worker said the sign was old and they actually had cups in stock :) (we were charged $3.50 for the bunny cup) I came with 2 other people and we ordered the passion fruit with watermelon, strawberry matcha milk tea with matcha ice cream, and passion fruit tea. The first drink I'd rate a 2/5. There's whole passion fruit seeds and watermelon pieces but the flavors seemed a bit bland. I also wasn't a fan of chewing on those seeds. The matcha was a 5/5. My friend finished his drink before we even finished half. He said he'd get it again. The other passion fruit drink was a 3/5. Also had seeds but was a solid flavor. For drinks alone, 3/5. For service and the cups though, 5/5 which I'd give a total rating of 4/5. I was stoked to see a hello kitty in my bunny cup! Total price of the bunny cup plus drink and no extra toppings was $9.19. The drink is worth the price due to it being about 16oz but I'd try a different flavor next time. I'd definitely come back though. read more

I discovered Ume Tea on Instagram, and intrigued by the novelty of the "Bunny Surprise" plushie cups, I decided to give it a try to see how it compares to other local boba shops. Since you can only order certain beverages in the "Bunny Surprise" cups - House Milk Tea, White Peach Oolong Milk Tea, Oreo Milk Tea, and Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea - I ordered the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea because I was craving something fruity. Placing and customizing my order (sweetness, ice level, toppings) on the kiosk was simple and efficient, and my beverage was ready for pick-up within five minutes. When I picked up my drink, I was surprised to see that it was topped with whipped cream and a Biscoff cookie. I would not have expected this to pair well with peach-flavored tea; however, the whipped cream added a pleasant richness to the beverage. The peach flavor of the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea (30% sweetness, light ice) was very subtle, but overall, I found the beverage to be light and refreshing. The boba seemed slightly melted, but the flavor was fine. The plushie is stuffed inside a hidden compartment at the bottom of the cup. After much anticipation, I opened the secret compartment and discovered a pink dinosaur plushie wearing a fedora. The Bunny Surprise cup was fun to try, but next time, I'd probably forego the extra cost of the plushie and order a normal-sized beverage. I enjoyed the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea, and next time, I'd want to try one of their shaken fruit teas. read more
