Enjoying a drink with the regulars.

I love dive bars because they show something unique and honest. Dive bars keep it real especially in this age where bars seem to sprout like weeds as the next hip place to go only to disappear before you know it. Happy Lounge is everything a hip bar isn't but so wants to be. It's the place that you'll keep returning and then you'll bring all your friends and then they'll bring theirs. It's where great memories are made. And that's because of Patty! She's the secret sauce. Sorry to all the regulars, the secret is out! Happy Lounge is an Awesome dive bar and thanks for sharing her with us! .... plus there's relatively easy parking in the area! Cheers Patty!!

Lots of pool tournaments, breakpots, and happy people who meet regularly. I look forward this "Barbox Mecca" in The Richmond District of San Francisco. Lots of diehard Giants, 49ers, and Warriors fans can also be found here in one of the busiest dive bars centrally located by mass transit. Checkout www.nomadpool.com for more info. $2 PBR on Thurs. APA 4 nights a week, dart league on Weds if that's yr cup of tea. Friday and Sunday $10 pool tournaments w/ a free red drink chip- good for beer or well drinks. Open pool table 24/7 with Simonis cloth, red dot Aramith cue ball, and a great group of shooters!!! Hot gals and good guys have been known to frequent this JOINT...etc. IMO

Grimm time at the Happy Lounge.

Patty took care of a couple rounds and was so thoughtful with a bottle of champagne from her back fridge.

The Horseshoe Tavern has been our neighborhood watering hole for over 16 years, and at this point,…read moreit feels a lot more like family than just a bar. So many memories have been made here -- birthdays, celebrations, nights out with friends and family, and plenty of random evenings that turned into some of the best ones. We've also made friendships here that have lasted for years. It's one of those rare neighborhood bars where you can walk in, see familiar faces, bring your dog, grab a drink, and immediately feel at home. I was especially honored to be asked to guest bartend for The Equal Pour, an event celebrating 55 years of women being able to bartend in California. It was such a fun and meaningful day, and San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie even stopped by to celebrate with everyone. And because the Horseshoe always seems to have a good story attached to it, we were also there when the Budweiser Clydesdales came by to deliver beer -- definitely one of those only-in-San-Francisco neighborhood moments. The staff here has always treated us like family, and that's what keeps us coming back year after year. No pretension, no fuss -- just good people, a great neighborhood atmosphere, dogs welcome, and a place that has been part of our lives for well over a decade. The Horseshoe is a true Marina neighborhood gem, and I hope it stays exactly that for many more years.

Fortunately, we were lucky to stumble across Horseshoe Tavern, as it immediately gave across a welcoming and comfortable vibe. Although there was only one bartender working the bar which was packed with a lot of people watching the Kentucky Derby, the service was incredible and the bartender immediately acknowledged us and took our order. We ended up getting two rounds, and again the bartender was super prompt and attentive with service when we went back inside for round two. Overall, this place is a gem, especially being in the Marina. Down to earth and comforting vibe. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice watering hole or a place to play pool.
