I like to base my decision on their quality of service. My first time here and was thoroughly happy with my nails. I guess that's why it's called "Happy Nails". I came when it wasn't busy, but I've been here with my sister and she had to wait 20 Min for her appointment. I'm a patient person, especially on a Sunday. So waiting is no issue for me. I got a deluxe pedicure and full set acrylic (stiletto shape/regular polish)- paid $75 including tip. Usually when I get the stiletto shape I need to instruct the nail tech on how sharp I want them. I showed him the pic & he did it great the first time, plus went in to perfect the shape. I love this! My pedicure was so relaxing & the lady who did the massage did a great job. I'll be coming here from now on. The cost is pretty damn good & if you need to wait there's a Panera bread, pieology, chipotle and Starbucks near by. Came back to get a fill and new design & im in love. He kills it every time! (Shellac pink set with glitter & rhinestones) I believe I paid 48? Somewhere around there. That's a dang good price if you ask me. I'll continue coming here for my acrylics.

I've been visiting this salon for at least 4 years on a regular basis and Dustin and his team are amazing. I have tried at least 3 other salons in the area and have had tearful experiences. I even tried a salon in LA with substandard results. Dustin has provided me with a great quality of work (especially since I love French manicures). I don't do reviews unless I see consistent quality and this nail salon has surpassed that. I can schedule appts easily via call or text and I love the professionalism shown to me if I arrive for my appt and the previous customer is taking longer than expected. In my profession, I realize the unexpected can happen and I treat it as if I was the one with the unexpected delay. I wouldn't want my service rushed. One day I had an appt and when I arrived Dustin was busy. He soon walked over to me, looked at my nails, shared he was running late and gave me several options. I waited patiently because he is worth it. This review has been longer than I expected, but being in the corporate world I've learned that customers love you until they don't lol! But I love Happy Nails and Spa. They are professional and clean. What I love most is Dustin being honest with me when I ask for a service that is not conducive to a healthy set of nails, thank you!

DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES. I have had more than 10+ years experience with acrylic nails. I am well aware of how they should look and feel. My experience with this place before and after this ordeal will make me NEVER USE NOR RECOMMEND THEM EVER AGAIN. I came in to get a full set done on Tuesday afternoon. I walked in and asked for a full set, the lady standing at the front began speaking to a lady in the back. They where speaking in their language so I am not sure of their exact conversation. However, the lady toward the back was CLEARLY having an issue with providing a service. That should have been my first clue to leave. Once she was convinced to do my nails she started the service, as she was applying acrylic, I had to mention twice that there was a large dip in two nails that needed to be filled with acrylic before the second file Red flag number 2. She then had me hold my hands up to the light to dry the acrylic. (Acrylic doesn't need to be held up to a light. Period) Red flag number 3. The length of my nails vs the amount of acrylic used was no where near enough. There was absolutely NO APEX. A proper apex is needed to prevent a nail from breaking at the stress point (where the artificial nail is glued to the real nail) and to prevent the entire nail from being ripped off/causing trauma to the actual nail. I say that not only as a customer but as someone actively going to tech school for this exact thing! The lady who did my nails is Either SEVERELY under trained or not licensed. I only saw one license on the wall...so there is that. I came in today to share my experience. Not expecting a refund (the only take cash,imagine that) but to share my experience. The manager at first asked me " well how thick do you want them to be." Once I showed him the photo of how thick they where his tune changed to "well, BC they didnt split down the middle this isn't my fault." "I can soak them off and give you a new set." I won't ever recommend then again. Don't use them if you value ur fingers

DISCLAIMER: I did not receive any services from this establishment. And why would I? I called ahead, asked if they were free for a mani/pedi, and agreed to arrive at 1045. I arrived on time... and waited. I'm good with waiting for a few minutes, but when I hit 20 minutes, I'm done! This place wasn't very busy, which would otherwise be a plus. I definitely was put off by their waiting area. Their seating looked so grimy, I was disgusted. I'd rather stand on my head than take a seat to wait. Pics of the sofa seats included. I'm still on the lookout for decent customer service at a CLEAN nail spa in the area...

I rarely get my nails done but my friend recommended Dustin and he did an amazing job. Exactly like the photo I showed him and it was a good price. He was very nice and understanding of my preference for wanting shorter nails even though it was hard to do with the design I asked for. I highly recommend.

My three-year-old son picked the Barbie color! They were really nice to him. Honestly, this place is more than anyone could ask for. They seemed to have close friendships with their regulars. Like, a regular came to the shop just to say hi. This goes to show you, wonderful people work here. I'm not local...if I was...I'd revisit.

My old dark blue polish is showing from under my new polish. It was acceptable to the manager when I complained to him.

Happy nails & Spa was only convenient for me, location wise since I live right across the street. Every time I try to call and make and appointment, no one answers the phone anyway. Per yelp page, and hours listed on their door, they open at 9:30 am. I called ten minutes after to see if they had a walk in available for pedicure, but no one answered. I figured, they never answer the phone anyway, so I'll just stop by and see if they can take me. The shop was closed! I've gone to this place numerous times for a gel mani. Some occasions would be perfect, but other times, my GEL mani would chip on MULTIPLE fingers in a couple of days! I personally get gel manicure so it doesn't chip! I don't think I'll be going to this location anymore. Save your money and time elsewhere! read more

I came here again with my mom to get our gel nails done, and it wasnt how we wanted it at all. We kept telling her to fix things but there were too many things that needed fixing. Nail polish overflowed on my fingers, there were empty spots on the sides and near my cuticles, gel top coat that was uneven and flipped up on the sides and also bubbles. The polish was all over the place and just overall uneven. I wouldnt come back for gel polish. But id come back to get my acrylics done for sure read more

I needed a new set of nails and was referred by my friend. I came here and the owner Dustin did a great job on my nails. I asked for the ombré look and he did a clean job. My only issue with this place is the amount of wait time. You can wait up to an hour to get your pedi or mani done. Making an appointment won't really do you much justice because it's "first come, first serve". read more

Dustin is amazing. Never disappoints, if you bring him a picture of a design you want he can either duplicate or try to get as close to it. Staff is super friendly. With such a small staff they tend to get backed up even if you have an appointment. I guarantee they are worth the wait. read more

I had a pretty good experience here. I just moved from the DC area and I had a disasterous experience with the dip powder form gel nails. Within five days they had all cracked and were driving me crazy. So this was kind of an emergency. The lady didn't seem too sore of how to get that type of polish off so she had me soak my nails (and fingers) in the remover. I should have remembered how much I hate that as it leaves the lads of my fingers peeling for a week. Ugh! I prefer when they wrap each nail as it means less damage elsewhere. Overall she did a meticulous job and was certainly very precise and careful. It was done in a reasonable amount of time and the cost was way less than I pay in DC. That is generally true of nails in CA though so not unique to this salon. I will be living close by and this is going to be a salon I go too. I usually prefer paraffin and more massage but, for the price, this was very good. read more

Not happy, whats up with all these fake 5 star reviews. This salon is a 1 star establishment. I don't know the older lady's name who did my gel mani/pedi but she sucks period. She must have just graduated. She was trimming my cuticles and cut me. And there is no point in making an appt. They didnt sit me in the pedi spa until 45 mins later. By the way the water was cold, not luke warm! They may have experience as employees but they really lack customer service and management skills. If Dustin is more productive at doing nails then he shouldnt be answering the phone. Everyone didnt understand what your techs are saying, maybe make hand signals vs having to repeat yourselves over and over again. 60 for the service, 10 for the tip. I wont be back. There are plenty of salons within a mile radius that are much better and can paint within the lines. read more

This is my absolute favorite nail place. I'm always able to show a picture & get exactly what I want! I have never been unsatisfied by my nails, and I 100% recommend Happy Nails. The only con is the long wait, but that's because they do such quality work with a smaller staff. It's so worth it. read more

Walked in around 2 pm and wasn't accommodated until 30 minutes later. I showed the nail tech a picture of how I wanted my nails to be but the results weren't good. Felt very rushed. The whole time he was walking in and out of the room and on the phone. My acrylics were too wide and long for my hands.I expected more from such a reviewed place. So upset. My friend and I had been searching for a new nail salon and decided on here for our next sets, based on the good reviews. I was so happy, the quality was amazing and the service was exceptional. The price is cheaper than a lot of other locations, but you pay for what you get. The lady who did my nails left an insane number of bubbles in the gel polish, and filed an indent into my actual nails when attempting to shape them. overall, a subpar experience, and im scared to see what my nails look like underneath. read more

Worst experience ever. Rude, slow, and dirty. I specifically asked for certain things not to be done and was ignored. Ended up with weird point SHARP claws that were uneven and going different ways. Didn't even make it to the color. read more

This review is for the man who works there. I called and set up an appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, he acted weird and said that I have to wait 20 minute. Then why he has to make an appointment for me. Anyways one lady let me in at that time. After my service, I went to pay. But it seems their account got hacked and only accepting cash. I somehow missed to notice it in the front. But yelp mentions that they accept credit cards. Somehow the lady who did service to me managed to accept my credit card. The man was completely rude and disrespectful. Will not be going back for any services. read more

This nail salon turned me off of getting my nails done by others FOREVER. I booked an appointment to get a french fade/baby boomer set of acrylics for my junior prom, excited to get my nails done for the first time in my life. I was extremely unhappy and honestly upset with the process. First, they took over two hours to get to me even though I had an appointment, because they kept taking walk ins over me. It got to the point where someone who'd just walked in realized that I kept getting ignored and made them take me instead of herself (thank you). When I finally got to the nail table, they just handed me the color samples, then pulled out gel polish which was NOT what I'd asked for. I corrected them, saying that I wanted acrylics. The lady got really mad at me, then I had to wait another thirty minutes to get to the one person who did acrylics. In the meantime, they "prepped" my nails, but really, they just pulled out the roughest nail bit they had to drill away my nail bed and cuticles, making my cuticles bleed. My nails felt so weak, but since this was my first time getting my nails done, I decided to go through with it. The acrylics turned out chunky and crooked, but at this point, I was too tired to complain. I'd been there for three hours or something, so I paid and left. The salon in general, by the way, is extremely dirty and unsanitary. There was nail dust everywhere, and they didn't even clean the equipment before using them on new hands. I'm surprised I didn't get an infection from that experience. Anyway, the acrylics lifted after around a week, and when I tried to soak them off, one of my nail beds half came off. This experience was so traumatizing for me that I never went back to another nail salon and just bought nail supplies for myself. I have been doing my own nails for the past 2 years and my nails could not be happier! I would not recommend this nail salon AT ALL unless you want a reason to learn how to be your own nail tech. If I could give 0/5 stars I would. Save your money, save your nails! read more

This is a very good nail salon to go too. Very clean and service is great. Price is reasonable. You get a massage and hot towel on your legs for pedicure and their nail polishes are quality and not cheap kinds that gets chipped right away. A shellac manicure would last me 3 weeks at least. Check this place out right next to Pieology. It's in the mini mall across Safeway in Dublin Blvd. read more

This place is beyond amazing! Not only am I in love with my pedicure and full set, all the staff were amazing with my 2 1/2 year old who was throwing a tantrum. My mother and I got a full set and pedicure and they helped take care of him which I didn't expect them to and I am very appreciative. I just moved to a new place and this nail salon happen to be across the street. I really like this plespecially after they took me after closing. I've been about 4 times now. They don't make you feel like it's a rushed job and do exactly what you ask. Oh and they also play friends my fav show! This is for sure my new go to nail spot. read more

Dustin has been doing my nails for about 16 years now, I follow him everywhere! I just pick a color range and try not to fall asleep I'm so relaxed. I'm always so happy with my nails and get stopped to get compliments and asked where I get my nails done. If you get acrylics you NEED Dustin in your life! I cannot complain about the quality of work the employees at this nail salon do. They leave my nails looking beautiful every time. However, the customer service is quite horrible. The owner is very nice and tries to get everyone in, which leads to constant overbooking. Even with an appointment you will wait AT LEAST 20 minutes to be attended. My friend once waited 2 whole hours before finally sitting down to get her nails done. Again, they do truly amazing work on your nails but I would only go here if you have a very generous amount of time to dedicate to getting a manicure. read more

My first time visiting Happy Nails and it was a bit busy, went on a Wednesday night around 530, I was asked to come back at 630. There's plenty of places around to kill time while waiting so the wait didn't seem long while walking around Target! Dustin did my nails and all I can say is this the happiest I've ever been, I had a full set w/ an ombré pink to white, coffin shaped. I'm amazed at how perfect they are!! read more

Had an appt Monday 10am. Showed up to discover no one could do my nails. The 2 women present ONLY do toes. The woman I was dealing with raised her voice bc I questioned her why no one let me know. I drove there specifically for my appt and was irritated I wasted my time. NEVER going back!!!!!!! Owner should have checked appts the night before to make sure the right ppl would be able to provide the services which were scheduled!!!!! read more

I usually recommend this place but this lady literally ground my nails to the point where they are numb. I got acrylics and when they took off my last set (which I got done there) the acrylic was super gooey when it came off; which was weird to me since I'd never seen that. Looked it up and turns out that's the result of products with MMA in them. Highly DO NOT recommend if you value your nails. read more

The worst! They are so unorganized and under staffed. I made an appointment and had to wait over an hour still. Super unprofessional and inconsiderate of customers time. This used to be my go to place but I will never step foot in here again. I go down the street to Mimi's Nails and they're amazing! read more

I am visiting from Orange County - I wanted to get a set of nails. Luckily I got an appointment with Dustin at Happy Nails in Dublin, Ca. I've had acrylic nails for decades as my hands are important in my line of work. The set that Dustin skillfully and quickly gave me is the most unbelievably beautiful set of nails I've ever gotten done. I am extremely picky. I just can't say enough for this man's work. I have never had a successful gel manicure that didn't lift within a week... until Vee. Whatever her technique is, these nails are staying on unless you literally break one. Vee is super friendly and chatty, and personally I love that. I genuinely enjoy our time every visit and it never feels rushed or awkward. The studio is in her home, but it's completely separate and downstairs -- just the garage and her nail space. It's all pink, pretty, private, and zen, and she always plays great music. It truly does not feel like you're in someone's house at all. One thing to note: this is a one-person business, so timing matters. I have been going to Dustin for over 5 years now and he does an impeccable job. He has an amazing talent and can do just about anything you ask of him. Everyone in my family goes to him and several of our friends as well. He is a perfectionist and takes the time to make your nails perfect by paying attention to detail. He checks in with you throughout the process to ask your preference on various things to ensure customer satisfaction. If you notice any small things you want to change or fix he is more than happy to do so. Dustin takes opportunities like those to learn which is what has made him such an excellent nail tech with his many years of experience. The environment Dustin creates in his business is very welcoming and friendly. You are greeted as soon as you walk in by nearly every employee. They remember customers well and connect on a personal level. Sometimes my boyfriend attends my appointments with me and Dustin assures he doesn't get bored or neglected while being there. came in today for an acrylic set. asked for french tip with a sparkly base. the french tip white part is not even at all. the nails are all different lengths , she didn't bother to do cuticle care. i asked for a lighter pink as a base and she refused to hear and to top it off i asked for a specific color which was a dip not polish and she " forgot " to use the dip and just found a sparkly but way darker color to use. had the audacity charged 85 for it & had no care in the world to fix it. i specifically asked for a thin french tip. let's also mention the rude signs on the wall stating that if ur going to show a photo for inspo dont come to the salon and go to the salon that posted the photo. especially since after i explained my vision to her she wanted to see a photo of how it looks. read more
