First impression when you walk in to this nail shop is very clean shop and friendly staff. I had made an appointment with Kim from a recommendation from a friend. Pedicure and a new set. Done quickly for both. Time spent was about an hour and a half and money spent was $77 not including the tip. Good job and would recommend making an appointment. read more

Quite possibly the worst manicure ever. I wanted it to be wonderful since it's a convenient location for me. The older gentleman literally dug around in a drawer full of miscellaneous stuff to find cuticle clippers. They weren't sanitized. He had no idea how to clip right. He started painting them and the polish would t go on even. His wife had to take over and she put the wrong color of polish on. The right color was right there. I thought she was just putting on a base coat at first. I left with the wrong polish and dirty, cut up cuticles. My gel polish lasted two days! read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. After checking in for a pedicure, I started to look at the color I wanted and saw they had the exact one I was looking to get. First off, they brought me to the chair and a woman doing someone else's nails was staring at me so I smiled and she rolled her eyes at me. First red flag. I of course dismissed it and I told the man doing my nails that I wanted a classic pedicure and the exact color I wanted. Another lady chimes in and says they only have it in gel. So I reply that I had just seen it up front. They argue with me about it for a minute and while remaining completely polite, I just ask how much more gel would be and they say $18. Clearly they think I'm stupid and they can just up charge me. So after telling them again that the color is for sure up front, another man says, "then go grab it yourself" in a super rude tone and ALSO rolls his eyes at me. Mind you, my feet are IN THE WATER! So I just drop it and decide to myself that I'll just pick another polish color. So the man proceeds to give me a "pedicure" if you can even call it that. It reminded me of a child pretending to give a pedicure. He did absolutely nothing! Literally grazed the file across my nails and "scrubbed" my feet by very lightly brushing the scrubber against my feet and to finish it off, just lathered lotion all over my feet and legs. THEN he says, "okay go grab that color you want." I literally grabbed my shit and walked the hell out of there. After lying and saying they only have it in gel and then to tell me TWICE to grab it myself after my feet were soaking wet or soaked in lotion... just take my advice and DO NOT GO HERE! read more

An absolutely HORRIFIC experience. My mother and I came in for her to get her toe nail polish color changed and her big toenail fixed with a small amount of acrylic. Everything was fine until it was time to fix the big toe. The lady that initially took her old color off was fine. A man came in to do the actual fixing. He sat down and grabbed my mothers toe so hard she had to ask him to be more gentle. We had not even noticed yet that he placed his acrylic brush on the FLOOR. We asked him to please replace it because it was now contaminated. With the nastiest attitude he grabbed a new brush and "applied" the acrylic in .2 seconds then jumped up as if the job was complete. He had no intentions on coming back to finish. Keep in mind my mom had gel on her toes which required them to drill her toenail meaning any small cut could easily turn into a major infection. It was mind blowing that we were made to feel at fault because we requested a clean brush. We politely paid for the polish removal and left. We will not be returning. read more

To get color the base price is $46"the number 3." which I have never heard of before. Most all pedicures no polish is a preference type of service not something you have to upgrade for. And my technician spoke zero English, and was VERY rough on my cuticles and feet.... As a professional cosmetologist I'm wondering if she went to school... they didn't ask my friend or I how we wanted the shape either ... I hate to write this, but I feel it is necessary. I went today for the 1st time after a friend recommended the shop. I wanted a pedicure with gel polish. Standard pedicure is ^$30.00 Plus $18.00 for gel. You get a pedicure with hot towel, hot stones, massage and nail polish. I chose to upgrade to the special, that included your choice of sugar scrub or salt scrub you choice of fragrance, hot towel and hot stones, wax to both feet and extra long massage. I was never asked which one I wanted or what fragrance. He came back with something purple, lavender which I am not fond of at all. This cost $50.00 plus the $1800 for gel. I went for the special, but was very disappointed. The young man doing my pedicure was nice, but kept digging into my toes, which hurt at times. Next he brought out this cheese grater to work on my heels and it hurt, he went back and got a smaller one, but it still felt bad. He did a good job on the nail polish, but then I was expecting an nice stone massage and hot towels around my legs. He only used 1 towel for each leg, left it on each for 20 seconds and then took 2 stones and rubbed them on my calves and feet for about 30 seconds each. When I asked him if he was done he said " yes, only 1 minute for hot stones" I spent $ 20.00 for that????? The total was $68.00. I have never been to a spa that only massaged with stones for 1 min, and never been to a spa that only used 1 towel for each leg.........Was not a pleasant experience......I think just getting the regular pedicure for $30.00 you will get your money's worth, but I sure would not upgrade to any of the other pedicures they offer. You can definitely tell this place is new with how clean and classy it is. I went in for a full set and a pedi, took about three hours, ut my requested designs took up most of that time, if I'm honest. Kim did an incredible job, she was so patient and kind and let me walk her through every thing I wanted done with out so much as an eye roll ;) I was very comfortable and very pleased with the service, how I was treated, and the quality of workmanship. It was okay... I called and made an appointment for a fill on acrylic nails. The girl who did my nails was very quick and polite. I have rounded nails, she didn't have to reshape which made the appointment quicker. However, when she was taking payment, she charged an extra fee and said it was for "long nails"... please note, my nails are not long, and she didn't have to do anything extra or out of the ordinary for my fill. She didn't have my trim my nails or anything. So I made a mention that I found this extra charge unnecessary, but paid it and went on my merry way. Needless to say, I will not be back because hidden fees are a sketchy business practice and I will not support a business that maintains and/or encourages that behavior. Wish I had a photo to show the length of my nails... but just imagine long kardashian nails, half of it cut off and then grinded down even more. My nails were short. 3 stars for the clean environment and outcome of the nails was decent. read more

Came in for a manicure, the service started with used clippers with skin and nails in the clipper, the lady tried to clean them off with her fingers that had black under them clearly very unclean. Oil was placed in my nails beds and the oil bottle made contact with my skin which I don't think the bottle has ever been cleaned. I am licensed by the state of Arizona in aesthetics and have more then 600 hours of proper protocol and procedures under my belt and this place covered none. Not to mention I have polish around my cuticles. read more

After getting a mani and pedi at Happy Nails I noticed my bank charge was changed to $60 from the amount of $50 on my receipt. I gave the technician a cash tip, so this extra charge was done at the close of business, without my knowledge. After talking to a few other people who have had extra "fees" added to their bill at the end of their service at Happy Nails. If you choose to go there, be aware of this practice. I did not receive any of the typical things you receive with a pedicure; massage, callus remover, paraffin wax. My new gel polish cost me $45! Went there for the first time. I had gotten their pamphlet before I went. It clearly states a gel fill is $28. After my fill was done they informed me it was $40. I asked about the pricing in their in their pamphlet they still insisted it was $40. I will not be back and the gel fill was good but not great. read more

Very disappointed. I was so excited for this place to open, since it's so close to my house. I'm not even picky about my nails. I made an appointment but still had 2 different techs. They did not listen to what I wanted. I did not like my nails and said something a couple times. I ended up going back the next day to have them start over and they treated me poorly, like it was my fault, and said that I should have said something...even though I did etc. They didn't wear gloves, they didn't have people was their hands before doing their nails. I went there in Dec.; was so excited for this salon to open. I made an appt. & got Joey, who actually pushed back my fingernail cuticles with a grinder! I questioned him about this. He said it wouldn't harm my nails. He was just being lazy! After my nails had grown out a little, I noticed dents in all my nails, which took months to grow out. He also badmouthed a nail tech I had liked at another salon. I decided I would never go back to him again. Then last week I decided to try this salon again & made an appointment with Kim, the owner. I was kept waiting for a half hour. They blamed the delay on Kim's son who made the appointments & had overbooked. Kim proceeded to rush thru the mani-pedi in about 55 min. (This usually takes 90 minutes.) She didn't give a very long leg massage, though she did a nice job on my toenails. However, when she got to my fingernails, she snipped away at my cuticles so quickly & roughly that she cut one. She did not apologize. She polished my nails but did not apply the topcoat. Then she went over to work on another client. Another tech came over to finish polishing my nails. I wish I had read all these bad reviews before I went. PS: I found out that Joey had been fired. And I did not leave a tip. I won't be back to Happy Nails. If this is how a new business operates, they won't be in business very long! read more

Stay away. This was not a dip as I asked for - very curious application that lifted up and was wavy. Three nails completely lost the polish. The people were not very accommodating and were unpleasant when I went back to get a redone. I ended up leaving as they wanted to do a gel and then only on the three, not a redo on the others that were going to com off. Not sure they are qualified and only mildly clean. read more

Very upset..The lady who did my nails cut me with her drill, didnt apologize or stop after I said "ouch". She then got mad at me when I asked to go wash my hands cause my bleeding cut was burning from the chemicals. The price is not worth the product, my nails were way too short after I even showed her a picture of what I wanted, she filed all the length off after she cut them to length as well. I did not tip her because of her attitude and her cutting me to which she gave me a look of disbelief and did not speak to me the rest of the time but "talk-yelled" in a different language the rest of the time. I thought I found my new salon after trying 5 other places and having negative experiences at all of them (what's up with these rude, unprofessional and unappreciative salons around here?). My first 3 appts with Kim were great. She does amazing gel dip and I was very happy. My last time there I had an appt that I made 3 weeks prior and when I arrived Kim was working on someone, no biggie, I figured she was running a little behind so I was totally ok with waiting. She didn't acknowledge me or that she was running behind, that would have gone a long way with me. Then she told her son to put the foil on my nails. He was super broody and with a really bad attitude told me to sit so he could put foil on. His body odor was so bad that I put a dab of lotion under my nose. He continued to be so rude and abrupt that I asked him if he was in a bad mood. I was sitting right next to Kim's station the whole time and she literally never even looked at me. When her son started removing the gel he nicked me repeatedly and never apologized once. 40 mins later I'm still waiting for Kim and she took another lady ahead of me! I said whoa, wait a minute, what's happening, I had a 12:00 noon appointment? She said I do very quick manicure then you. I was so mad at this point that I wanted to leave but my nails were demolished and I was leaving on vacation the next day so I had no choice but to stay. When I was finally seated with Kim she didn't say a word. I waited until she was finished then quietly said to her that had she acknowledged that she was running late, or apologized, or made any attempt to recognize that my time was valuable too it would have gone a long way but she just dismissed my complaint by saying I would have had to sit with foil on my nails even if she got to me right away. I told her I've never sat for 40 mins with foil on not to mention I had an appointment! I paid and left knowing I'd never return. I didn't even tip her because I'm sick of tipping and paying for shoddy service. read more
