**** STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE **** Unless you want a sick dog. I have waited a week to write this review but now is the time to warn everyone considering boarding here. Our baby boy spent 10 nights here and came home with a respiratory issue. He was perfectly healthy when we took him in, has never had any medical issues and was vaccinated for Bordatella in February 2021. He came home with a cough. Took him to the vet the next day. On meds now but cough is no better. He will need additional testing if not resolved upon completing his antibiotics. When I checked out and paid the $560 for boarding him (oh yea, this place isn't cheap), they had a notice posted about respiratory issues being reported. I didn't notice that upon our arrival. It's easy to understand how viruses could be passed around here - they are around each other and share a water bowl and toys during the day. Nice that they can socialize, especially if you're gone as long as we were but the potential aftermath is not worth is. We will use in home care next time. I really don't want anyone else's fur baby to be as miserable as ours is right now. read more

Can't understand any negative reviews on Happy Pets as we've been taking our Pup since she was a puppy (about a year and a half now) She always comes home exhausted after a ton of play, they know her name when we walk in, and recognize us when we come to pick her up. We have used this place a couple times for daycare and boarding with no complaints. The staff is very nice and they treat our senior dog well. We love the ability to watch via the phone app and having the option to have a camera in his room (extra cost). We asked them to limit our dog's daycare due to he's like the energizer bunny and can't stop playing, which they did. They do an excellent job with the interview process, making sure our dog and the others would get along. So far so good, and we will continue to use them. read more

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. I took my dog here for a temperament test that lasted only 10 minutes and for the first time in 8 years, she was rejected b/c she "didn't like being crowded" which "created negative attention." BS. First off, most dogs who are placed in a new environment, aren't super comfortable right off the bat especially if there are 5 dogs sniffing them while they're on leash. There is some bit of anxiety there. Dogs need some time to adjust so of course she doesn't like to be crowded initially! ...in a new place ...with new smells ...with new people! GOOD dogs get over it quick and other dog boarding professionals get that. These people don't. Clearly. My dog has never had an incident-- she has never bit anyone or harmed any animal and is easy going, not to mention, great with other dogs -- she's not toy or food possessive, not yappy, is very well behaved (not my opinion, strangers have told me that) and has been to ***6*** doggy daycares across the US since she was born. She's also been to dog parks/beaches regularly and has a senior Yorkie brother who is 3 lbs!!! I moved to AZ and was looking for a local doggy daycare/boarding location and this broad who conducted the interview tells me to "take her back to Dogtopia." RUDE. Side note: A neighbor with a petite Frenchie recommended this place (and I took her despite their crap reviews) but I'm not sure if it was before or after their dog got sick from this place b/c they haven't seen them since (the front desk person was very forthcoming with that information, btw). If your dog likes to play a little rough even the slightest don't bother bringing them here they'll likely reject your dog. He'll I bet even if your dog passed some gas they'll take offense to that. I would appreciate some transparency on the interviewing process ahead of time so I didn't have to waste my time if I knew they were that strict. We originally found them on Yelp. We are going on vacation in a few days and can't take our dogs so we needed to board them since we don't have anyone to watch them. I've never boarded our dogs before so I was already very paranoid about it. I wanted to try them out because of their good reviews and the fact that they have live web cams would keep me at ease so I can keep an eye on our dogs. We had to do a trial day so that they could see how they do with the other dogs before we could board them. After a full day there they seemed happy and I was satisfied with it. 2 days ago 1 of our dogs developed a cough and the Vet said that she has kennel cough. Both of our dogs are fully vaccinated and the vet said that the cough is contagious and a virus so she most likely got it from when she was at daycare. This is very concerning because this means they boarded a dog that already had kennel cough to begin with which is how our dog would've gotten it. We've never put them in daycare or boarded them and the very first time we did she comes back with kennel cough. To top it off, now her sister might risk getting it as well. I went looking and found Happy Pet Palace and if you are looking for doggie day care or boarding for your fur baby, give this place a shot. Been there twice now and they are nice, professional, friendly and take excellent care of their clients. For 5 days, we boarded our 4-month-old puppy at Happy Pets Palace. During this time, she transformed from a timid newcomer to a confident, social dog! I love that they integrate the boarded dogs in with the daycare dog group for play time throughout the day. They have live cameras, free group enrichment sessions before 9 am, fun activities, and the staff are all truly dog lovers! We upgraded to the VIP deluxe boarding experience to get one-on-one enrichment and cuddle time, daily videos, and other perks. We also upgraded to get a webcam in our dog's boarding villa. I loved being able to check in on her whenever! Watching the webcams, we were able to see her make her first puppy friend which was truly adorable. This first-time boarding experience was incredibly positive for our puppy, letting us enjoy our vacation guilt-free. I took my Frenchie Nipsey here for the first time, for his interview and half day. What a wonderful experience. I had so much anxiety about him going, and engaging with so many other dogs. I wanted him to have an enjoyable experience and didn't want to worry about not being around him. First, what a lovely staff they have! Each person was so friendly to both me and my dog. They explained everything, he was safely introduced to his group, and within minutes was racing around playing. Their facility (which I got a tour of) was nice, clean, organized and well-maintained. I am so grateful to have found a place that will care for my dog the way I would. I'm also very grateful that he has the opportunity to socialize with other dogs and exercise. And, I can watch him from the app so I know how he is doing. I read a few crappy reviews and was unsure, and I am glad I chose to take those with a grain of salt. If you care about your dog, do not leave them here. The staff here neglected my dog for an entire week in July of this year. The staff often times left him in a room with absolutely no company. He was an 8 month old puppy at the time. I watched the live feed for the first few days to check on him. When I called and complained during his stay, they blatantly lied to me about his care, and acted as though they didn't have cameras in every room. The staff was unprofessional and rude. Let me say, if I could give 0 stars I totally would. I have a six month lab puppy who has tons of energy and loves to play. They told me she is no longer allowed back due to "forcing play on willing dogs" and "nipping staff members." Not sure why they would have her with other dogs who apparently didn't want to play. I also just had her there three days ago and the staff told me she did great since the last time they saw her. They do have cameras and I have videos on my phone of her playing with other dogs and the other dogs having her pinned to the ground but i was fine with it because they were playing...... but yet they chose to single my puppy out. I saw comments on here about dogs getting sick.... Yes she had a respiratory infection twice from this place. It's like a human daycare I get it..... we take that risk with our pets and kids getting sick from other pets and kids.... But come on two times?? The front desk lady was also extremely rude. They also did not call me to tell me how bad my puppy was. I saw her playing literally almost all day on the cameras so I am confused. I asked why they didn't call me and have me come get her and her response was "I don't know I got here late." They also said she would get enrichment time if she was there before 10am (maybe 11) and she never did. I watch the cameras all day and never saw her. One star because staff seem nice. But overall, the place smelled really bad like urine once you walked into the door. This place is very strict about what dog is allowed and what dog isn't allow. I feel bad for my dog. My dog is 9 months old. She's still a puppy so your gonna expect her to be very playful and high energy. Long story short, they didn't accept her because she was playing " too rough". They have a live cam for you to watch your dog and the other dogs play. I've seen the other dogs play just as rough as her but somehow they only told us she not able to come there. I think their policy is dumb and people who run a dog day care should accept all types of dogs. And if there was ever an issue. You can separate them to a different area. I don't know what the problem is and why you would have a dog day care but only accept certain types of dogs? Especially when you have more than one area for them to play in. I 100% recommend Happy Pets Palace to any dog owner or new puppy owner. We have used this location in Chandler for long-term boarding and for puppy playcare. The facility is outstanding, the care is outstanding, the pricing is phenomenal and for what you get in amenities it's better than anywhere we've seen. And last but certainly not least the staff is incredible. You can tell they legitimately love animals. I'm pretty sure none of them are getting rich being around 200 yapping dogs all day long, so when you see them loving and playing with your pets then you know they must really enjoy their jobs. Many of them are multiple pet owners themselves and have a real passion. As I stated at the beginning we have done long-term boarding in our dog came back better trained actually. And our puppy playcare is phenomenally priced at $25 for up to 5 hours, it wears out our puppy so where she comes home and sleeps LOL 100% you should use Happy Pets Palace! read more

I watched on the live video feed as my 19-month-old lab ran and played with a couple of other dogs, having a great time. I watched the male attendant watching and playing with the dogs as he went about his work. As expected. But when my dog first arrived I also saw the female attendant obviously didn't like my dog. She grabbed him by the collar the minute he came through the door and held him most of the time until the guy took over that room. Ultimately "the staff" agreed to expel my dog, even though the male attendant said there was no problem. Maybe it's poorly trained staff. Maybe it's their intentional business model to limit themselves to docile dogs that require nothing. But if your dog runs, plays, and acts like a dog steer clear of this strip mall dog warehouse. read more

We brought our Great Dane here for an 11 night stay, when we got her back she had lost 10.5 pounds and was very dehydrated, could barely stand had a fever amongst other symptoms. We gave permission to let her be seen by a vet if need be, and no one ever called to tell us she wasnt eating or drinking... We needed to take her to the EMERGENCY ROOM. How no one noticed she wasnt eating or drinking blows my mind. This place is HORRIBLE! We will be coming down to demand a huge discount or our money back, but not before I blast this place on every sight I can find. Definitely NOT worth the $500. read more

This review is for the Gilbert location that specifically works with small dogs only. I searched forever to find a place that only serviced small dogs, as I have an eight pound adorable and precious Pomeranian, that is terrified of larger dogs after being attacked by one at only 4 months old. I got married in July on Maui and boarded her for 11 days (such a long time, I know!), but Puppy Palace did an incredible job with her and I was so thankful to log on to their webcam app anytime I wanted to check up on her! They also have someone who sleeps overnight with the pets so there's always someone there to watch over the pups. We love the care and attention they provided so much that we continue to drop off her weekly for play dates with other pets while we're at work. So glad I found this place. We needed to move into our new place but needed our clingy fur-babies out of the way for some hours. A girl from PinUpPets nearby recommended this place for us. I love their concept of transparency-you can monitor your dogs to see how they're doing from your phone! The ladies who work there are so good to the dogs. Throughout the hours my dogs were at the doggy daycare, the girls gave their time with love; petting them, holding them, making them move-using up their energy level so they can go to sleep when they come home. Two years ago, when our dog was 1 year old, we boarded him here. We loved it because we could watch him in the camera every day and we did just that. We watched the cameras several times a day because our dog was very timid. We took a baggie of food for every day that he was to be there. When we picked him up, they gave us the "extra bag". They obviously didn't feed him one day. We immediately gave him food and he acted like he hadn't eaten in a week so we know they in fact, didn't feed him. Fast forward 2 years and I called because we were going to bring him for daycare. They had deactivated him because he "didn't do well in a group setting and acted inappropriately". I asked if they had the right dog because our dog is trained and very well behaved and goes to daycare EVERY WEEK. He plays with dogs all the time and he's fine. Before I could even get my question out, the rude manager interrupted me with, "yep, yep. I asked the girl that was here and she remembers him. " We asked if they had any notes or any record of what he did or why he got deactivated and they said no. Also, when we picked him up they talked about how great he was and he has a great smile. First of all, it was 2 years ago and he's been there once. Second of all, let me speak rude woman. Third, if he did act up (which I don't believe for a second) MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T FEED HIM! Does she remember that too? Also, if he was acting up, why were we not told about it? Why did they tell us he did so good? Why didn't we get a phone call? (We weren't traveling and they knew that). Why were we able to watch him playing EVERY SINGLE DAY? (No, he wasn't acting up when we were watching him.....ever). Funny thing is I have read previous reviews saying the same thing about deactivation for no reason. read more

I rescued a mini poodle mix a couple of months ago that has pretty bad separation anxiety. I wanted to socialize him a little more during the day while I'm at work. I brought him into Happy Pets for an interview. He was hesitant at first and tried to make me hold him... but the employees there were AMAZING. They sat on the ground and talked to him until he felt comfortable enough to walk over to them. They were so good with him and spoke so gently, just like I do. He now goes there for daycare and loves it! And I don't worry at all because I trust he is in good hands.. not to mention, they have live cameras you can tune into from your phone all day long. While looking for a puppy social group for my newly adopted princess of a pup, I stumbled across a local meetup group that gathers every Saturday morning called "Puppy Socialization and Activities with Educational Benefits". It is through this free event (pet parents in attendance), hosted by and at Happy Pet Palace and Playground in Chandler (Pecos & McQueen), that I got to know not only the caregivers of Happy Pets Palace (Chandler Location) but was also able to tour the wonderful facility as well. This is their newest facility (three total) and I was particularly interested in their socialization day camps since I had just brought home an 8-week-old GSD and knew that friendly and supervised socialization was going to be paramount to her development into a well-adjusted adult. One of the things, among many, that I was particularly impressed with, was the fact that they have an evaluation system that places similar personality, temperament types and sizes together to determine which day camp group best suits them. The staff have become some of my German Shepherd's favorite people (Amber and Linda in particular) and she loves them. That is all I am after, her wanting to be there and visiting with her new fur friends. As an added measure of comfort for those of you like myself, who need reassurance of your pup's wellbeing, there is Live Stream Web Cam that you can have access whenever you want to check in. I highly recommend calling them and give them a chance to put your mind at ease should you have particular areas of concern. The desk ladies were phenomenal, relaxed and very nice to my "kid". I liked the set up for the dogs and it took my Coco just a few minutes to make friends and he started running like the happy loonie he is. They are conveniently less then 10 minutes from my job.
