This place has some of the best pho I've ever had. The chicken rice noodle pho was incredibly filling, but not heavy that it hurt my stomach. All the ingredients smelled and tasted fresh. The cinnamon milk tea was also insanely delicious. It paired very well with the pho, especially after adding jalapenos in it. The only downside to this establishment is the understaffed workers here. They did bust their busts and got our food out very quickly though, so kudos to them! We will definitely come back to get our pho fix here! read more

Ok I've been here 3 times.. the pho is good. Not amazing but good. I also ordered the lemon grass chicken. I got it home and opened the the food and all I could smell was fish. Yes I know Vietnamese food has fish oil in many dishes. But I don't eat seafood and never have I been to any place that had that much odor. I took a bite and almost vomited. It has a awful fish taste, with a chunky chili paste. So I asked to exchange. No problem in doing so. But they did warn me what comes with the chili garlic fish paste sauce! Appreciated. We also got pork friend egg rolls. Quite small/skinny for the price. I order a non meat pho for my daughter who's very sick and it had meat. Ok no biggie I'll pick out. The Pork Bahn Mi was mediocre at best. Bug chucks of pork instead of thinly sliced. Won't be making it a regular stop but good for when Le Saigon, Phoenix noodle house or Pho 7 are closed. The first time I had pho here the cinnamon sticks and star anise was so strong that it was all you could taste. The broth did have great flavors so figured I should give it another try. Hello There, Certified Pho'ker here Here is my review of this restaurant! Driving on the way to work I see this .... interesting place called iPho and iNails. My FIRST impression just by driving by was, god dammit -- did you guys have to really enforce the stereo type? It probably, is owned by the same owner but REALLY?Anyways, I'm Vietnamese - and Pho is in my blood -- So I decided to get a transfusion. Décor - The Décor is a little..... odd. The restaurant is split into two sections, one for guests and the other is for a larger reservation ( at least from what I can observe) Tables and walls, including fixtures are kind of perplexing by them selves. On one side, you see traditional Asian ornaments, while on the other you have modern-chic art The mood lighting is very subtle, but it doesn't detract from the oddities surrounding you. The music that they played was a little jazzy / instrumental and even the plating had more an updated look to them. In short, It's a Hipster Pho Noodle Shop. The Food- The food is Meh. The broth is a bit too greasy, and I've been here over five times. Its a little disgusting, and its kind of easy to fix too (when you make the broth, just scoop around the oil, or scoop it out). The Tripe, and the meat balls are obviously frozen, and sort of tastes that way too, but the beef and the noodles it self (esp after absorbing the broth) taste average at best. The menu was a little confusing at first, Kudos for not making Pho #1 (its actually #17 I think; being a bit different isn't bad) They also serve Banh Mi, and for the love of god, they make Banh Mi Xa Xiu. (BBQ pork). Its not the best sandwich I've ever tasted, but its certainly a lot better than DK (located off McHenry). They also add some kind of weird Hoisin/Teriyakis Sauce that kind of throws it off a bit, but whatever. I've also tried their Thai Tea, It was a tad bit expensive -- but it was what you would expect. The Service - The Service is great. The servers are polite, and when the servers are not there the cook seems to help out too. Table service, to dinner service was always prompt and Honestly does merit a .5 of a star. ----------- To Summarize this review, Would I go back? Yeah, probably. The location is actually kind of better than the other ones around town. I'm a busy person, and I carry a lot of expensive equipment on me all the time. Its one of the few places in Modesto where I can pull out my tablet to work on some expense reports and have something to snack on without being worried about getting mugged by some homeless guy. Let me break that down for you. Saigon Restaurant is in front of Oakdale Road, next to that save mart. I dare you to park in front of the dollar store for ten minutes with your doors unlocked. Pho Bac on mcHenry? That Walgreens is a cess pool that gets robbed by meth addicts every other week. Pho 7 on Carver? its Carver, enough said. I don't go back because the food is great, or because I'm in love with the service. Saigon Restaurant is my personal favorite, but Its really far from my location. So on those days that I need to get work done and don't want to drive half way across town for noodles? I think I can settle for here. read more

Went there late in the evening with my 3 kids and luckily no one was there because my kids couldnt keep still. The guy gave my kids some coloring books to keep them busy, which was really nice. I don't know why I decided to walk in and give them another chance, huge mistake. I ordered a rare steak pho which took nearly 30 minutes to get. I drive all the way home only to discover that it wasn't what I ordered. I drive back because I wasn't going to let the mistake slide again. Not only did I not get anything more than a "sorry" but the male employee had the audacity to pull the order ticket and show me what was written down. I'm pretty sure I know what I ordered, 21 doesn't sound anything like 18. Instead of taking accountability for their usual incompetence and mistake, he decides it's a better idea to show me I'm wrong. The waiter was nice and the place is clean. I must say they only have like 2 or 3 pho selection. I ordered the mint tea, spring roll with no pork, and beef pho. The tea wasn't hot, it was also spearmint and not peppermint which threw me off but no big deal. The spring rolls, lol... They had a pinch of shrimp, it was hard to see and I didn't taste it. Plus the wrap, sadly was gummy, and it was the smallest roll I've ever seen. The pho, was okay. It wasn't great and there was supposed to be 3 meats, one being a "meatball" and there wasn't and if just felt like it was missing something.
