She was foul as soon as I opened the door and began unloading on me. My dog is a rescue so he gets anxious and shrinks a bit when people are loud and aggressive & she scared him to death. She did not even say hello, she just began berating me from the hall. She did not return my attempt at cordial words or reconciliatory behavior. Not even a hello, no meeting the dog. She didn't even set foot inside. She caused a loud scene. She has cost the company what would have been a $160 plus travel plus tip service every 6 -8 weeks. I am out of the hospital and in need and this was unnecessary escalatory nonsense. Today, N _y- didn't even enter my unit & in under three minutes in my condo hallway, called me "Rude as f_ck!", audibly for the neighbors. A medical professional was on their way to meet me for an evaluation & before greeting me stated "What was her problem?? She almost ran me over stomping off in a huff!" Common courtesy is part of the service industry. This woman imo should not be working with vulnerable animals unsupervised in a van. She couldn't display compassion for the dog in front of their owner so I shudder to think what would happen alone with a defenseless animal in a van. Her Jerry Springer level antics were unwarranted but this nasty woman N_ y _ swore and stomped away for no valid reason. There was a technical issue. I spoke with a gentleman first thing in the morning, hours prior to the appointment to explain the issue and how to navigate to avoid any problems. It was easily navigable with minor effort. Appliance delivery, a hospital worker, grocery delivery and a physical therapist had no problem with me today. I had other appointments, but my dog was my priority. This alleged professional acted like a sitcom over the top nasty DMV worker with an irrationally irritated attitude, like my mere presence was a hassle for her. I no longer trust this company, because they did not even check on me or text to ask what occurred. That shows (imo) their endorsement of her swearing and lack of concern for customer experience or loss of customers. She refused to listen to explanation for the technical issue & raged like a wrestler on steroids. I planned to rely upon this service every 6 -7 weeks for the foreseeable future while I recover. Her unnecessary actions & dropping the F Bomb have cost them a customer, but they clearly aren't concerned, because they didn't check in or follow up, And that makes me worry for the animals in the care of people knowingly employing someone like this woman, I don't trust my dog with aggressive hot headed persons - nor should anyone imo.

Trooper is a long-haired mini dachshund with a beautiful (but very sheddy) curly coat, and I was a little nervous about how he'd respond to grooming since it was his first time. But J'Niyah handled him with such calm, patient care that he settled in quickly. What really stood out to me was how gentle and thorough she was. Trooper came out happy, tail wagging, and smelling like he just stepped out of a puppy spa. Highly recommend J'Niyah to any pet parent-- especially if you've got a pup with a unique coat like Trooper. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and that makes all the difference.

Everything was perfect…read more Here's a brief backstory: I have a Ragdoll cat, Honey, who had a very traumatizing experience at The Velvet Touch (see my review and avoid that place at all cost). The Velvet Touch Salon groomer couldn't even touch Honey as she got aggressive with her because they decided to put Honey in a room full of dogs for grooming (never before did Honey behave like that), so I was a bit nervous about taking Honey shortly after that experience to another groomer. However, the ladies at Happy Cat took such a good care of her and Honey was the sweet girl that she always has been and NOT aggressive at all. Honey has found a permanent groomer for herself. Happy Cat is such a wonderful place and it's truly a SALON for cats. Chrissy has set up tall crates for cats to keep them separated and safe with each crate having a cat tree, bed, and even a litter box. The place is also very clean and beautifully maintained. But most of all, the ladies treat your kitty with care and kindness where you can feel confident that your cat will be in great hands. What a difference a groomer makes- one that couldn't come near your cat and another that has no problem and your cat leaves HAPPY. That speaks volumes!!! When I arrived, the receptionist greeted her as much as me. She was so warm and inviting that my dog (who had just been shivering scared in the car just minutes prior) actually started to walk in the back on her own, almost. Less than two hours later, they called and said she was ready. When I picked her up she didn't seem traumatized. She was happy, fluffy and trimmed where I mostly wanted- her ears and feet. I'm fact, I was surprised how small her feet are without all the extra hair. Also, it was $70! She's about 55- 60lbs. A note on the door stated that if you pick up dog more than an hour after getting the call that your dog is ready, you will be charged $20 per additional hour. I imagine that could be issue with people working or trying to get errands or kids managed. I didn't think to ask the name of her groomer. I did notice that there were 4 grooming stations. They commented that today was a slow day but I imagine it can get pretty loud and busy.

The first puppy cut they do a 1/2 service to get them used to it, which is a great idea. But it was still the same price. Either way now with my 2nd dog going there, I've always had good experiences. They do a small discount if you pay with cash. Small increase in price (that doesn't work out as well for tipping purposes). The fee for my 15lb dog was as much as the 60 lb dog which is unusual (well more with the price increase but that's normal, I think it was a $10 increase from the year prior)

However, after dealing exclusively with the owner the last several visits, we have had serious misgivings about the safety of our dogs after we drop them off. The owner appears annoyed not only when we have dropped the dogs off but we have picked them up too. On our last visit when my bf went to drop the dogs off (scheduled appointment), the owner gruffly demanded "what do you want" when he walked in..." Ummm I am just dropping the dogs off-we had an appointment"...(wth)?? Then she rudely takes them in but without so much as a simple acknowledgment or even an 'I appreciate your business' chit-chat. This was the last rude straw. If she is that foul-tempered and rude with her human customers EVERY TIME without fail (loyal paying customers who tip well), then how does she interact with our dogs when no one is around to see/know what she is doing (especially as both pups are rescues that tend to be very anxious)?? Time to find a different groomer for sure!! Think twice about bringing your sweet pup here.
