I door dashed this food, I also got a Jarritos mandarin soda. The tuna was pretty good quality and the rice was a good texture. I eat sushi fairly often. Although I'm not from here I will be eating at this place again. read more

We stopped in to eat lunch at one of my old favorites "Happy Teriyaki"! They have been here for many years; it had been a while since my last visit. I was a bit surprised; the food was great as always, but... it was the portion size to price that was better than most places! There were three layers of chicken and a nice sized portion of cooked perfectly vegetables (I skip the rice) ! The restaurant was impeccably clean. Everything was laid out nicely and the staff wonderful! We will back again and soon! read more

Very clean, friendly staff , and nice atmosphere. Lunch specials are yummy, and a great price for the amount of food you get. Teriyaki Chicken isn't overly sauced, and has great flavor. Chicken Katsu is crispy and tender. Don't let the sheer look of the sauce on the Orange Chicken fool you...it's amazing. Egg rolls and gyozas were crispy, and very fresh tasting. I am a fan of teriyaki and generally happy with the Happy Teriyaki restaurants in Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater area. I do not like this one. First off, the portions are small, in comparison with other teriyaki places. They are even chintzy on the teriyaki sauce and if you ask for more they charge you. The one thing that makes me the most mad to the point that I wont be returning is that they charge 1.75 for a small cup of pop (filled with ice) from a fountain. THEN THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CHARGE 1.00 for refills. For this reason alone I won't go back. Other thing - it is freezing in the restaurant. Not sure if they are trying to save money on their heating bill or it was just an off day but I dont appreciate shivering while eating my food. I wont be returning unless they change their policy on the pop. read more

Had a combo poke bowl with all toppings and Spicy Poke sauce (half n half). It was really good with the only complaint being the sauce wasn't spicy at all, but I will try adding spicy next time. Also, don't put the sauce on your rice or it will be overly salty. read more

Seriously the BEST teriyaki in Lewis county. I'm picky too because I lived near a big city with a great Asian food district. The to go portions are generous, it comes with salad with that creamy nice Asian dressing & a full packed little to go box of steamed white rice cooked to perfection. The chicken is nice & tender with the perfect amount of grilling to kinda caramelized the teriyaki sauce a bit. They are fast too & it only took about 8-9 minutes for my order to come out (I was a walk in & ordered to go once I arrived). It was about $12 for my order, I got extra sauce for my rice/chicken & it was really good/thick teriyaki sauce. Not the watered down soy sauce type stuff most of the other places here locally have. They cook the food in the back & you can see them cooking it if you're up front, it's not frozen reheated foods like the rest of the places in Lewis county. They also have poke & some really good looking short ribs that I intend to order next. Definitely a hidden gem. Much much much better then all the other teriyaki here! Stopped by for lunch had two of their lunch specials. Chicken katso 2 out of 5. Spicy chicken and pot stickers 3-4 fried rice was 0-1 more like white rice with some peas and carrots tossed in. Spring rolls were fresh but not flavorful 1-2. All told 33.00 for lunch for two oh we bought 2 bottles of water. Think you can do better. read more

I must say good food. Stopped by to grab a bite to eat while waiting for an appointment. Small, clean and seemed great. Cashier was nice and had no issues with that one. Sat down with a friend in hopes for a nice chat and meal. Lady came in to grab her paycheck with her friend. Manager came out and immediately insulted her with some cursing and in front of customers, children and the other employees who stood by quietly. Very unprofessional since the employee wasn't rude or anything and the boss made a comment about her clothing asking her "wtf she was wearing" and told her she "left her sh*t there" and she called him out saying he didn't have to talk to her that way, which I believe is valid. Made the whole aura of the restaurant change. She left quietly and we ate and left immediately. 1/10 would not come back after seeing that. read more

If I could give a split rating, the teriyaki would get a 4.5. The rest would get a 2. The waitress is inatentive, the steamed vegetables was all cabbage with 2 small shavings of broccoli, and the fried rice is just steamed rice with peas and carrots that cost 50 cents extra. I have been going to happy teriyaki for years, but today it was hot and when I asked for a refill on my soda I was told that the soda I just gave the better part of $2 for, consisting of about 10oz of ice and 5 to 6oz of soda would be $1 to refill.... I love the teryaki, but charging a dollar for every 6oz of soda that costs a nickel on a hot day is the straw that broke this thirsty camel's back. I won't be returning to happy teriyaki untill the soda nazis knock off the soda gouging. read more

Happy Teriyaki has a bunch of these in the Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater area. This one is the same. The teriyaki is not bad and the space is quite nice for a teriyaki joint. The prices are a bit high for what you get and there is not a good 'spicy chicken' which is my favorite. read more

I hate even giving one star let alone five. I just ordered two to go meals and asked for a side of Sriracha to go with my meal and was told no, it's for to go orders. I then asked for a refund and was told no. I again asked for the hot sauce and offered to pay. Again she said no the owner doesn't allow it.
