The kind of food that makes you feel like things might still be okay in the world. The sweet and sour chicken had the crispness of fire and oil. Not drowned in sugar or vinegar - just enough of each to speak without shouting. A balance you don't find often, not in food or in life. The teriyaki salmon was dark at the edges, charred just so. It tasted of flame and patience. It was not dry. That mattered. The people there do not smile too much, and that is a mercy. They respect you enough to avoid the saccharine fakeness found in many other eating establishments. They do not ask how everything is when you are chewing. They do not crouch beside the table or call you "friend." They simply bring what you need, when you need it - water before it's empty, more napkins before you ask. This is the best teriyaki place in town! My favorite! It's a little expensive but on par or even a little cheaper than other local places and the food is incredible. Never had any complaints. They pile up the food, it's always hot and delicious even as takeout. The staff are so friendly and always get everything right! Honestly, I read all the reviews prior and can agree with the most of them that the food here is bomb. Not the best sushi ever but everything else was amazing. I don't normally go to sit at places and this place is a perfect example why. The front of house staff is under trained and incredibly loud. I've heard all about their sex life and their TikTok preferences. When u go out to eat you want to talk to the people you came with not over hear the staff. Most of the conversations should've been back of house conversations. It's not like they were actually doing any work anyways. I ordered the cashew chicken (with only 6 or 7 cashews) expecting a traditional stir fry sauce. Instead I got an oily teriyaki sauce. The vegetables were few and chopped small except the ridiculous canned corn cob chunks (with no kernels) that have no place in being in Asian stir fry. The chicken was overcooked, tough and chewy. Knife skills were lacking, many pieces too large for bite size. There were no special spices and this was something mediocre I could have easily hacked out at home (minus the corn cobs, of course) and had a better result. So if you don't like cashews, love chunks of canned corn cobs and mostly salty teriyaki meat, this is the place for you! Next time I'm going back to Tea Leaf 2, they put in the effort, make AUTHENTIC sauces and add lots of big chunk veggies. read more

Do not order the Mongolian beef. The quality of the beef is very low, and not prepared well either. Most restaurants that would attempt to prepare cuts of beef like these would use meat tenderizer and also cut meat thin, but this dish was not prepared that way. The chunks of beef are fatty, chewy, and tough, and the flavor of the sauce seemed watered down and over-sugared.
