If I could give them 0 stars I absolutely would. I guess the only reason they even deserve 1 star is that the store service was adequate. I was looking for a new refrigerator for my garage so I didn't want to spend a ton of money, plus I knew what I relatively looking for. The salesperson was nice enough, somewhat helpful, but that's about it. It was nothing exceptional or anything, but I also didn't need much. The reason for the horrible review is everything that came after the purchase itself. 1) Setting up delivery is crap. You call a number and I'm convinced no one ever answers the phone. You leave your information and get a call back. You tell them what day you're looking at and when they call back they let you know if it's available or not. I called first thing in the AM and didn't get a call back until almost 5pm. I called multiple times throughout the day to see if I'd ever get a live person, but never did. 2) When I was called back, I was given one of the days I was available, but no time frame was available to me right then and there. I was told I would get a 3 hour window via text the night before. I would also get a phone call approximately 20-30 minutes prior to delivery that they were on their way. 3) the night before my delivery date came and went. No text. I had no idea when they would show up to deliver or if they even would deliver. 4) Day of delivery I am home all day, but 30 minutes due to having to run kids around. That apparently was the 30 minutes in which they showed up at my house. No phone to tell me they were on their way. No text to say they were on their way. Nothing. 5) They delivered my fridge in the middle of my driveway and left. They did not call to tell me they were doing that, they did not remove the old fridge that was included in their delivery service, etc. 6) I get home and find said fridge on my driveway. I call the delivery people right away, but as always, no one answers the phone. I'm still waiting for a call back. I called the store and told them what as going on and was transferred to customer service where I sat on hold for several minutes before speaking with someone. Explain what happened, but she's in another state and can't help me right then. She has to speak with the store to get more information and then call me back. It has now been 2+ weeks since I have repeatedly called this store, delivery and supposed customer service. I have received NO call backs, NO resolution, still have come back to the old refrigerator, etc. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I have no idea how in the world they have as high of a rating as they do. NEVER GO HERE! I would never do business with this company again. I read the reviews, spoke with others about this place and was hoping it was going to be worth it, but it's just not. Their service leaves a lot to be desired. He was very professional, introduced himself , asked what he could do to assist us and directed us in the area we needed. He gave us plenty of breathing room to converse, compare and browse. He came at the right time to see if we were ok , answer questions and crack a joke. Store is very spacious, appliances consist of refrigerators , dishwashers, microwaves, and washers and dryers. They sold us a used washer and dryer under the guise of it being new. while they stuck to their story, hard to explain that the Wi-Fi was hooked up to someone else's place and we had to contact Whirlpool directly to get it fixed. Also, we paid to have them deliver and hook-up at our home. The 3rd party contractors gave an excuse, that turned out to not even be true, as to why they couldn't hook it up. They prey on the individuals that don't know any better and pass the buck when they can't deliver on a service. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HAPPYS. They will deliver you a defective appliance and then give you the run around even though they say they give you a 30 day warranty. I even purchased the extended warranty and can't use it until after the 30 days. the refrigerator I purchased didn't work on delivery and they can't get anyone out until Monday so now I will have to replace all of my food. there goes $700.00. Beware if you purchase anything from them make sure their drivers don't have to take anything apart. Also the delivery people are rude if they have any difficulty with tight spaces to get into your house. Candance got to know me, asked me lots of questions through normal conversation and there wasn't any high pressure sales tactics. I let her know that I may bring the hubby back later that day. As the hubby got off work, we actually shopped at 3 other stores to compare what Happy's had in stock and we were not very impressed at these other stores. One Salesman at a different discount store actually downgraded certain brand names all because he didn't carry them in his store. March 20th I bought a midea dishwasher from happys. I've been buying appliances from Barron for years. It's. now April 20th and I have dishwasher I still cannot use. It came without rollers for the door and it has a messed up control panel. It's brand new and already so many issues. EVERYTIME I talk to customer service the owner is either sick or or out of town. I was told they switched the doors on the fridge and didn't have a say in if it was okay or not. Also was given the wrong dishwasher. The dishwasher they brought was used (both were supposed to be new) and after a month they swapped it out with one that was also used and terrible. I purchased an oven from this company two months ago. It still does not work and they've done nothing to address it. The delivery company refused to wear masks properly in my house after I asked them to do so. The oven delivered was badly dented and scraped in places down to the metal. These damages were not there when I purchased it. I have pictures to prove it. After I complained, they promised me $50which was hardly adequate but they failed to send that as well. The computer panel of the oven is damaged so I can't use the oven. The part is not available and so basically I've paid them over $400 to take away a working oven & replace it with a damaged one that does not work. I was told 'no refunds or exchanges'. BUYER BEWARE If I could give zero stars I would. We bought a refrigerator from them a week ago. We were assured that there were no previous repairs and that there was nothing wrong with it except for the few minor dents. We paid $1,200 dollars for this. We get it home hook it up and the Ice maker isn't working. Went up to the store and told them and they said to run water through the water lines for a few days. We did that. and it still isn't working. Come to find out, the line that is BEHIND a protection cover that does not get TOUCHED AT ALL DURING install is broken and leaking. when we took the cover off you can clearly see where they tried to fix it with silicone. Well they didn't even do that right. and mind you... IT IS A $12 part. But since it was a slow leak and we did not realize, the water has seeped under my floors and completely destroyed my kitchen floors causing over 6,000 dollars worth of damage. We have been back and fourth with the company, the analogy they used was "its like when you buy a new car and drive it home and hit your garage with it and expect the dealership to pay for the damages" You have got to be absolutely kidding me... Anyways we have Frigidaire coming out to look at it on Friday which will in fact just back us up even more since this line IS BEHIND A PROTECTION COVER. Once we have that report we will be sending it to the attorney and they will be sued for damages, cost of attorney time off work to deal with their mess, the cost of the fridge ect. I spent $4000 on a washer, dryer, and refrigerator. They were scheduled and delivered by a woman named Christine (and her husband) who delighted in being inflexible on delivery times. When they arrived (the first time), she was dressed in all spandex and snubbed me upon entering. "You must be Christine." I said. "How did you know?" she asked. "Oh, I just figured." I told her. She set up the washer & dryer 6' apart and said the vent tube wouldn't reach the vent. "Put the vent hose in a bowl of water to catch the lint." was her solution. I told the salesman I wanted a counter depth fridge but I was sold a standard that wouldn't fit through my kitchen doorway. They took it back and I had to pick out another fridge. Lucky me, Christine delivered this one too. If you've never seen a 50 y.o. woman dressed in spandex and pigtail braids, let me tell you, you're really missing out. After they hooked up the fridge and left, I realized the compressor was broken bc it never got cold. It's been 3 WEEKS. I've had to call several times to stir up action on their end and they never call me back when they say they will. Now I'm being told to go back and pick out a 3rd fridge. I purchased a new refrigerator with an extended warranty. I was aware that it had some dents and scratches but was told that it was new. Upon delivery(which they broke a solar light outside), I noticed that on top of the refrigerator there was caked on grease and dirt that I had to scrub to get off. It was not just dusty from sitting. I did not notice this when i purchased because i am not over 6 feet tall to see the top. Upon further investigation I found prolonged continued wear and dirt all around the refrigerator seals as well as dirt and wear marks of where the freezer drawers close. You would not see this unless you were on your hands and knees. There also was a missing door shelf (that was there when i saw in store).They also never hooked up my existing water line for the icemaker so it didnt make ice. I had purchased a warranty yet when i called the manufacturer they stated that the refrigerator was not new so they could not even warranty it. Lisa in customer sevice at Happy's just gave me the run around when i stated i bought a "new" refrigerator but it was not new because it clearly showed prolonged use per me and the manufacturer, had a missing shelf, the water line was not hooked up and could not even warranty. I stated that i wanted a refund because this was not a new refrigerator. Lisa stated they do not give any refunds under any circumstances. She said all sales were final yet I never signed anything agreeing to that. Lisa specifically was EXTREMELY rude and uncooperative to me numerous time each time called. I also talked to my original salesman, another man and "RO", Mr Rosenthal who would not tell me what his position was or his last name(found out later elsewhere). I contacted the Attorney Generals office which they then contacted Happy's to obtain a refund. Happy's finally said after talking to Attorney Generals office that they would give me the money back except for the delivery and pickup fee. I told them i should not even have to pay that as i was buying a "new" refrigerator. By mistake they actually gave me the pickup and deivery fees back but called me afterwards and asked that i pay those fees. I never paid them. NONE of the staff were wearing masks or gloves. Buyers beware!!! I financed a refrigerator in the amount of $2,127.26 if paid in full in 90 days or $4,631.28 if paid after the 90 day period. The refrigerator was delivered on October 1, 2019. The first refrigerator never cooled down. After 24 hours I contacted Happys Appliances and explained to them that the refrigerator was not cooling down. An employee said sometimes it can take 48 hours for the refrigerator to regulate its temperature. I waited 48 more hours, and contacted Happys again due to the same issue. Another employee told me that they did not have another refrigerator in the store and stated I needed to go through the manufacture. I informed them this was not acceptable, but I called the manufacture who stated I needed to wait longer for the refrigerator to cool off. I contacted Happys again and told them what the manufacture said. The individual at Happys asked if I could come into the store and see if I could pick out another refrigerator. I informed the employee that I could come up on that Saturday, October 5, 2019. I made contact with the manager on Saturday, October 5, 2019 and informed him that they had the same model refrigerator. I showed the manager where the refrigerator was and the manager walked me over to a different refrigerator that was the same model. The manager stated that they had a customer send it back to their store due to it having a dent issue. But the manager stated the refrigerator had been sent off and the problem was correct. I had that refrigerator delivered to my house on Thursday October 10, 2009. I asked the installers to attach the waterline which they did, but the installer stated he believed their was an issue do to the water not coming out of the door when pushing the button. The installer believed that it could have been just because it was just installed. I told the installer that I would attempt it again after 24 hours. I gave the refrigerator 24 for the water line to work but it still was not working. I contacted Happys appliances again and spoke with an employee and then the manager. I informed the manager that the water line was not working. The manager attempted to tell me that I needed to hold down the button to make the water come out for about 4 minutes. I instructed the manager that had already been done. The manger told me I could have to go through GE manufacture. I instructed him that was unacceptable and I asked him for my money back and I wanted them to come get their product out of my house. The manager stated that "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" and that he would not. I instructed the manager that I was going to contact the BBB. After the manager continued speaking about who knows what. I quit listening due to already being disappointed with their products and services. I hung up on the manager and contacted the BBB. While writing the BBB complaint I found Happys return and exchange policy, which I have copied and pasted below. " Terms and Conditions Return Policy Returns and cancellations are subject to a 20% restocking fee. All requests for returns and exchanges must be processed with 14 days of original delivery. Special Order Items cannot be returned or exchanged. Any defective product will be covered by manufacturer's warranty and repaired as outlined under the manufacturer's terms and conditions." The above statement is taken directly from Happys webpage. After making contact with the BBB they also instructed me to contact the attorney general. I am waiting to receive the paperwork through the attorney generals office. I also contact my lawyer in regards to this situation. I will be shopping elsewhere and I will make sure to divert customers away from this business due to products not working properly and shady customer service. Buyers beware - look elsewhere !!!!!!!!! While they have some great deals. Please be VERY diligent in looking VERY closely for dents, scratches and dings. We found a great deal on a cooktop but it was VERY dusty. The numerous, noticeable scratches did not show up until we were home and cleaned it up. They won't buff or polish out. Receipts clearly say All Sales Final. Take the time to go over it there. It was damage on the showing side and the hood of the range would not close also, the oven door would not close. They apologized and brought the one I "selected " out, only that oven door would not close either. I was able to look it over before they pulled it off the truck and had them to return both stoves. I called the store and spoke to Roe he was beyond insulting telling me about how long he has been doing this. I told him IDNGAF! My husband and I purchased 4 appliances from happys , one of which is a kitchenaid range, we are more than 6 weeks, and three service visits into this range, and the oven has NEVER functioned, the store also refuses to refund our money! The dishwasher did not work, after being unable to reach anyone by phone for days, and never receiving a call back, I went to the store, after speaking with "mike" I was offered an exchange or refund, I did choose a replacement , which so far is working, fingers crossed. The freezer drawer of the fridge only closes properly if you wrestle with it, and the washing machine occasionally leaks, but frankly I don't have the time or energy to deal with these people anymore. I am fighting for the range, I have an email into the company & have filed a complaint with the BBB! This purchase has cost far more time and frustration than the $$ that was saved!!
