She was very nice, but maybe a bit too enthusiastic. I needed a minute to look at the menu, and I don't need to be checked on quite so frequently. I ordered the cheese board and a glass of wine. The happy hour menu says it is a mini version of their cheese board, I can't imagine a full sized one. This was substantial. It had three cheeses, crackers, honey, and berries. I thought their cheeses were pretty good, I didn't get a rundown of what they were but there was definitely a blue (a bold choice), another one with dried cranberries inside, and maybe a Manchego? It was an interesting combination. The crackers were light and crumbly. They weren't graham crackers, but I believe they had some graham flour in them and were an interesting choice. I would have preferred something with more of a crunch, just for texture. And maybe something a bit more savory. But that is just personal preferences. It was a very good value. One thing I really didn't like, the door to the street was open and you could smell people smoking. Apparently smoking is still really big in Portland, there are butts all over the ground outside. But it is the last thing I want to smell in a restaurant.

Dessert was a delightful finish with cupcakes and French macarons that everyone loved. As far as the food goes it was delishhhhh!!! I must say the wait staff service was excellent from start to finish, always there when we needed something and the classic New England atmosphere with all the boats outside made the evening feel warm, elegant, and memorable. My haddock sandwich was delicious, and the portion of fries that came with it was generous. My husband's burger was good, but he said it wasn't too memorable. The fish dip we got as an appetizer was not good; it was clearly previously frozen or something, because it was hard to even dip the crackers into it. We ended up using our oyster forks to dip the crackers instead. Definitely overpriced for what we got. Given the vibe, I totally understand why the prices run a little higher, but I'm not sure the quality of the food makes up for it.

Tiny portion and nothing special. I'm still hungry after and the waitress couldn't remember to refill water or drinks. It's a beautiful setting but you're 100% paying for the setting. Wouldn't go back myself because service felt super lackluster (and I know fancier places aren't always super flexible but the total lack of inflexibility was really frustrating).
