The Mililani shopping center is the sister commercial hub of the Mililani community. It's smaller in size and has an eclectic mix of businesses, eateries, and real estate mix. It's the one that you will go to, if you get bored of Mililani Town Center.
It's the one shopping center that has the 24 Hour Fitness on its property in the Mililani area. Not sure if there is another swimming pool out there that you can use -paid or not- that's not in a private residence. Then again, I could be wrong. With that said, I've been to both Mililani Town Center and the Mililani shopping center many times during my day trips to and from Honolulu over the years and I must say that it takes a lot of time to get out of Honolulu, regardless if you are traveling by public bus or by private car / taxi. Always nice to go to Mililani to do some shopping and just hanging around whenever I feel like it. It's a smaller shopping center that reminds me of Aiea shopping center, Koko Marina shopping center in Hawaii Kai, or even Kahala mall for the cozy community mall feeling. I do enjoy coming to this mall to shop, eat, and explore. The overall experience here usually is uneventful. Too bad 24 hour fitness upgraded its facilities within the last year or so, so I can't work out here anymore - due to my current level membership.
The Mililani shopping center may be an extension of the Mililani town center but with a different name. Most of the community retailers here are eateries or those who sell food. Starbucks, Jack in the Box, and Snow Factory to name a few currently in 2016. Who knows what the future may bring here. 95-390 Kualelani Avenue is where the Mililani shopping center resides. Nothing fancy, but at least they are next to the public transit lines and there's plenty of parking here to suit your needs. Regardless of what you've come here to do, whether it's to work out at 24 hour fitness or to feed your Starbucks habit, or maybe to grab lunch or dinner at one of the many fine eateries here, there's many options to entertain your stomach and have fun doing so. Many of you have the option of private vehicle, but if you are like me, best bet would be TheBus route 52, currently servicing Mililani and Haleiwa/North Shore. Mililani Town Center and the Mililani shopping center happens to be one of the many stops along the way. With that said, there's a handful of restaurants here to meet your fancy and that's a fact! Some are budget friendly and there's one actual restaurant here, versus the other fast food ones (I.e Jack in the Box).
Happy hours are always fun at The Shack Mililani, of course. The Ross store you can get your shopping done here for a fraction of what you could get at Macy's. That's budgeting your dollars to the best of your ability! For what it's worth, shopping and running errands here is always fun, especially when you are with friends. Not so much when you're on your own, but it's fun nonetheless. It's basically your quintessential neighborhood mall, without much of the bells and whistles you've come to expect from a larger mall like Town Center. While the movie theater it's lacking and the retail establishments aren't like of Towne Center, you could get things done here at the Mililani shopping center too, although both of them have Starbucks stops. Lol I'm sure you folks at Mililani have gone to both shopping centers on one trip sooner or later and that's probably the truth. It feels less commercialized here and more of a homespun vibe, where people know people in the community. It's a people's mall, versus a money type of mall.
Come check out the Mililani shopping center, if you are bored or in need of a change from Mililani Towne Center. Sure they have a Walmart there, but here we have a keen sense of style that can't be broken. Definitely recommend coming here to explore and see what this shopping center can do for you. 4.0 stars for sure. I still haven't checked out everything yet, but will do at a future visit.
